OOC Notes & Disclaimer(s)

Hi everyone,

Tonight, at the Governor's Ball, an event will take place that ties into the Spiraling storyline; it'll be a rather large-scale event in scope affecting most, if not all, of the city/surrounding areas. The aftermath of this event, though, can be dealt with entirely how you see fit. Some characters may not be affected at all; others might be affected greatly. The choice is yours.

I don't want anyone to feel forced or compelled to play into the repurcussions of the event " the more people/characters that do decide the play in, the more fun I think it will be, but I'm not trying to coerce any of your characters down a path you don't want them to take.

If anyone has any questions, etc., please don't hesitate to IM, PM, E-Mail, etc. me. Thanks!

As Matt said - I'm really hoping people will like the event tonight - I think there could be a lot of RP opportunity in the aftermath of the ball!

Sorry for not putting this up sooner but here is the setting for tonight:

There would be boys with umbrellas outside the entrance to the Great Hall to help keep the guests dry as they arrived.

The hall had been decorated with the goal of joining simple elegance with a comfortable atmosphere that citizens from all walks of RhyDin life could enjoy. Soft white lights and lit candles on tables covered with black cloth made the hall more intimate and less intimidating. Purple orchid centerpieces provided splashes of color throughout the room as suited waiters passed out hors d?oeuvres and champagne flutes. A modest buffet station was set up along one wall near the bar where people could help themselves to food and drink. In an effort to avoid feeling like a stuffy affair the Governor and his wife had shied away from the typical musical accompaniment and opted for an Elven singer and her jazz band. They played from the makeshift stage set up towards the back of the hall.

I just wanted to thank everyone who came to the Ball last night! I had a lot of fun and I only wish I could keep up with a room that big so I could have played with everyone more!

If anyone wants to join in and write about any aftermath of the storm for their characters feel free to post a link to your thread here!
