The following announcement was made by the Governor via press release:

The Governor's Service Medal award program is designed to recognize people who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to serve our community by showing exemplary commitment, hard work and dedication. The recipients of this honor strive - sometimes in extreme circumstances - to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors to the communities of Rhy?Din and Stars End.

This month, we are recognizing the accomplishments of a number of individuals, whose contributions spanned the better part of early summer, from the election season to present. Eight individuals are being honored, and I trust you will join me in congratulating them.

Our first three recipients are receiving this award for the hard work and personal contributions they have made to the Carnival benefitting the Small Business Relief Fund. These nominations came in from members of the public, and are well-deserved. Congratulations to Antonio Sabatier (El Sabatier), Ella Dufaigh Sabatier (PawOfFate) and Aristotle Kruger Allen (Kruger) on receiving this recognition.

Related to the carnival celebrations, additional recognition is due to those whose hardwork in hosting the Bonfire Brawl night in the Marketplace. Thank you and congratulations to Candy Hart (Candy Hart) and Kheldar Drasinia (Kheldar) for all you do to promote community participation.

The next recipients are frequently on this list because of the many community events they sponsor and host. The Lucha Libre Jello event hosted by Coven Bristle Crios was by all accounts a big success. Congratulations to Yasmin (Yasmin) and Miranda Branson (Miranda Branson) for putting on a terrific event enjoyed by many.

The summer season could not possibly have kicked off without the city's annual Midsummer Celebration. Hours of tireless effort were put in again by a woman who proves every eyar that she knows how to throw a party! Congratulations to Lilliana McCrae (CherubicMagic) for a splendid festival.

Last, but certainly not least, I would be remiss if I were not to recognize our last recipient for services rendered recently to the city. Her diligence and watchfulness helped to prevent a plumbing incident in the Town Hall following the elections that could have been quite serious. Thank you and congratulations to Katt Rhysata (Katt), for your quick thinking and commitment to the motto, safety first!

Kudos to all of our Governor's Service Medal recipients for August!
