The following announcement was made by the Governor via press release:

The Governor's Service Medal award program is designed to recognize people who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to serve our community by showing exemplary commitment, hard work and dedication. The recipients of this honor strive - sometimes in extreme circumstances - to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors to the communities of Rhy?Din and Stars End.

This month, we are recognizing the accomplishments of four individuals and one organization, whose contributions made this chilly February one to warm the hearts. This award is not bestowed solely by the Governor, but by those citizens of RhyDin who nominate individuals for consideration. This month, ten members of our community are being honored, and I trust you will join me in congratulating them.

All of our recipients in February are receiving their awards for the hard work they put in each year on annual events. It's not the first time you've seen them shine, nor will it be the last. Our first recipients are a pair whose effort in sponsoring RhyDin Fashion Week makes it one of the premier events in the city. Congratulations are extended to Koyliak Simon and Locke DVestavio for putting the Fab in February!

Speaking of fabulous, the annual Valentine's Disco Ball is one of the best-attended events the city sees every year. There is a lot of hard work behind the scenes that makes this happen, and we would be remiss if we didn't recognize the committee that puts this together. Congratulations go out to Rekah Silverblade, Marc Franco and the organization, Rhydin Events Presents for putting on this year's spy-themed gala: Gold, Glitter, Guns and Girls. Groovy!

Kudos to all of our Governor's Service Medal recipients for February!

(Apologies for the belated posting of this one! They were announced at the last GAC meeting and then the post on my to-do swiftly left my head. Oops.)
