The Governor's Service Medal award program is designed to recognize people who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to serve our community by showing exemplary commitment, hard work and dedication. The recipients of this honor strive - sometimes in extreme circumstances - to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors to the communities of Rhy?Din and Stars End.
For March, we are recognizing the accomplishments of SIXTEEN individuals whose contributions enhanced life in our community. This award is not bestowed solely by the Governor, but by those citizens of RhyDin who nominate individuals for consideration. Please join me in congratulating each of them.
First, for acts of valor during the recent bombings in the Marketplace, we recognize eight men and women whose quick thinking and heroism averted additional loss of life and property. We salute here: - Andu Kirost - Batosai - Brian Ravenlock - Charles Blackstone - Crowe Thorne - Ebon Ilnaren - Icer Shimmerscale - Zack Alcar
The next four individuals have been scrambling tirelessly to coordinate, publicize and run one of the craziest competitions the dueling community has every year. It's a free-for-all! It's insane! It's ....dare we say it' ...Madness! This year, we tip our hats to four purveyors of pugilism: G'nort Talanador, Norah Vanderhildt, Cassius Gaius Maximus and Apple Anderson. Great job!
((OOC: Our final four recipients for March are individuals who have set the boards and the chatrooms on fire with large-scale community playables that have gone beyond the commonplace to become true Community Events. Congrats to the initiators of the following community storylines: - Cuyler Quinn for Ghostly Visitors - Dark Tides for From the Deep - Poppy Welby for Snowstorm Hannibal - Sadhbh for Forgetting Fate It's been very exciting to see all of the wonderful posts and room play springing from these events. Writing is at the heart of what we do here and stories like this remind us all why we love it so much.))
