Although he looked calm and collected externally, the dancing blue and black energy around his eyes told a different tale. He approached the receptionist in the Governor's Office.

"Hello, my name Briarius Ravensheart and I would like to speak to The Governor please. It is on the matter of magick registration. Thank you."

He was polite and friendly, not at all hostile. However, it did not take a psychic to tell he was gravely upset.

Trista had taken the day off.

"I remember you." The blonde sounded delighted as she looked up from all the pamphlets she was sliding into envelopes on the desk to see who was asking for an appointment. "O'lleh! Your plumes still aren't snowy, but I think your eyes have metamorphosized. Metamorphosed?" She shrugged cheerfully. "They've changed."

Daisy's eyes were still a vivid green. They sparkled at him as she continued. "Are you in the appointment book" I wonder if it's under R for "raven" or H for "heart." Or maybe Trista put you under M for "magic." Let me look.?

She paused for a moment, replaying the little speech in her mind before clapping her hands together and laughing. "It rhymed without me trying. That's lucky."

Another beat. "Ducky."

He smiled at the disarming young woman and smiled despite the outrage he was feeling.

"No, I am not in the appointment book. However, I would like to make an appointment if necessary."

Daisy was saved a response (and trying to figure out Trista's booking system) by Fionna's appearance in her office doorway.

"Oh! What a lovely surprise! I'm assuming you're here to see me. I was about to step down the hall for a moment, but if you'd like to come in, that can wait." She held the door open, encouraging him to step into her office where they could speak privately.

"I think I can guess at the reason for your visit."

Briarius nodded and turned to Daisy.

"Thank you."

He then walked into the Governor's Office.

As the door closed behind them, he immediately began to speak.

"Your Honor, what type of governmental system does RhyDin have in place" I really would like to understand it. We have an elected Governor, yet we still follow the antiquated process of determining nobility by combat.

This allows any sword wielding lunatic become a Baron. Sword wielding lunatics aren't knowing for good administrative ability.

However, this brings me to the point...which you have guessed. The registration of magick users throughout RhyDin" I have said it once and will say it again, magick is only one form of power that exists here. If that is going to be shackled, then I would make the demad that all power be shackled the same way. Register everyone if they have more than the regular folk, and that includes sword wielding Barons."

He looked at the Governor as he realized he was way out of protocol.

"I apologize, Your Honor. I got carried away."

She took a moment to consider her words before she replied.

"You are mistaken in your understanding of the role both of my councilors and the dueling barons, I believe; however, be that as it may, I understand you are upset. Many are."

"I have been firm in my own stance on the matter, but I think all sides need to at least be given the universal courtesy of having their concerns heard. Perhaps you would consider being in attendance at the next council meeting?"

"Perhaps you are right."

He seemed much more calm and composed now he was rightfully chided.

"When is the next meeting?"
