Do You Think You Can Scare Us"
As the days get colder and the nights longer, when the scents of woodsmoke and leaf mould fill the air, nothing is better than a delicious, haunting story. And your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to scare our socks off - not with outright horror and gore, but with the subtly crafted chill of a ghost story or a frightening fairy tale.
The guidelines for the challenge are simple:
1. Write a short story following one of these two themes: (a) hauntings and ghostly tales; or (b) a scary fairy tale with an original plot or a new twist on a classic story.
2. Stories may be posted in the Dragon's Tales forum or in your own folder on Dragons Mark. Link your story in a reply to this thread so it can be easily found.
3. Challenge runs from October 1 through October 31.
4. Multiple submissions are fine!
5. Have fun!
Three winners will be selected; each winner will receive a unique inventory icon. All participants will receive a contest icon.
