Earlier tonight, the madman known as Kain Starsong appeared in front of the Red Dragon Inn. He had apparently escaped from Batten Industries facility where he was being held. His cell had held firm, so he simply took it with him. (Note to Edward Batten - suggest stronger links between cell and surrounding structure, and something to dampen psionic activity; would be willing to assist with the latter)

He arrived in front of the Red Dragon Inn and engaged in verbal repartee with Icer Shimmerscale and, eventually, myself before resorting to physical attacks via telekinesis. The following individuals engaged in the conflict against Kain: - myself - Icer Shimmerscale - Wanda Lensherr - Johnny Storm - Andu Kirost - Bobby Smithson - Kaius

The initial battle took place in the street out in front of the Red Dragon Inn, during which time Kain used his telekinetics to continuously strike at us from inside his cage. We, in turn, did our best to shake him around inside, as the cage material itself proved impervious to both his and our attacks. After Wanda's arm was broken—to distract her from her defense—and Johnny was knocked from the sky to stop his "wall of flame" tactic, Kain attempted to telekinetically propel himself to the Marketplace, presumably with the intent to cause further destruction and chaos there. Fortunately, I was able to deflect him into the alleyway behind the Inn, where the fight resumed.

I would like to go on record as commending the teamwork of all involved, particularly in the alleyway where we were no longer distracted by nearby innocents and could concentrate on the fight itself. Icer and I took turns tossing the cage around while Wanda and Bobby defended us from collapsing buildings and Andu transformed into, ah, a 40-foot purple gorilla to prevent any escape from the alley. Johnny delivered the coup de grace by filling the interior of the cage with flame, burning Kain and consuming most of the oxygen within. Once he was spent, we sealed the air vents and feeding slot and welded all openings to make the chamber airtight. As a result, though his regenerative ability healed his wounds, it can only keep him alive but unconscious due to a complete lack of breathable air within the chamber.

The cage is now contained within, and locked inside, a pocket-dimension vault in Andu Kirost's hut/home, which he has graciously allowed to remain at the Precinct One Watch Station, only a few blocks away from the Red Dragon Inn. Andu himself has taken up residence at the Station, and I am currently residing in my townhouse only a few blocks away; in addition, there is a Batten Holdings facility close at hand.

Please note that this should be a temporary containment situation, as Andu cannot be expected to sacrifice his home permanently. I suggest that we bury Kain's cell in a pit filled with the strongest cement or other similar substance available, with only a tube for air, a recycling toilet facility, and a secure mechanism for providing basic sustenance and water. However, that is for the Governor to decide.

With respect, Ebon Ilnaren
