Topic: Signing the Card

Chryrie

Chryrie had seen the fliers, so she immediately went to where Chicken had built the large card like structure to leave her own signature.

She waves away the paint the orphan had offered her and with a flick of her fingers, her own signature was left.

I miss you Your loving sister Chryrie

It was the second time that day that she was distracted with her original intentions. She first saw the giant....what was it' She frowned slightly, and then watched as Chryrie left the area. Curious, she changed her course to walk close the the walls of plywood. She was greeted with children, holding up a roller and a buckets of paint. She chuckled softly, and moved so she could see what this was all about.

It did not take long for her mind to put the pieces of the puzzle together. A glance to a window in the upper stories of the building, and back to...well, obviously one was supposed to write good intentions on it.

How interesting.

She kindly asked the children what colors they had, settling on a dark blue paint. Brush in hand, she pondered what to write.

I need you to get better, to help me tease Ewan during the days, like old times?

No, not quite, but memories brought a small smile to her lips as she did her best to make large letters from her short stature. Perhaps something simple would be best. Private jokes sometimes were bet left private.

Your well being is in all of our thoughts, Kitty.

~Storm

Satisfied, she helped the children put the paint back into the bucket. She then slipped them a few silver coins, telling them to get themselves something sweet when the day was over.

She was then off again to see Avery, her own adopted little one.

Fliers and posters were a useful thing in Rhydin. There were just so many of them! It was hard to keep up. Finally though, the green haired elf had caught sight of one in regards to the card for Kitty since she was ill.

A faint frown. Lydia had only just found out too. She felt terrible, and wished there was something she could do, but from what she understood, things were already being done about it. She could however, check out this giant card mentioned.

When offered paints and brushes, she selected green (of course), pondered a bit, then wrote something short and simple for Kitty. She wasn't one who was clever or witty with words.

I hope you get well soon Kitty. Lydia

After packing up the kids and dragging them out Kina had to admit the chickens card was pretty impressive for a piece of overcooked poultry.

Katy and Dominick were given a brush each and told to paint Kitty a picture while the catling pondered her own message.

Finally settling on something she painted near the children's drawing which had turned into a very splotchy cat and some random scribbles, after all Dom was only a toddler still. No Dieing Kitty, its against the rules. Besides who am I gonna share Antonio with if you go and die huh' Love, Kina

In his hurry to catch up with his family, he almost missed the card. Something made him stop and look, and he read, chucking quietly to himself at one particular fresh signature. In close, neat script suitable for an accounts ledger, he left his mark:

Kitty - You are missed and you have our love, our best wishes and our full support. Whatever you need - whatever you need - send a message, and if it is within my resources, you shall have it.

Chryrie had told Cassie of the card the afternoon before, and so she'd made a trip just to find it! When she did, she smiled and had to laugh at it. She chatted with the kids and settled on a color. Purple, of course.

Kitty, get well soon! It's not the same around the Inn without you! Cassie

Sid had heard about this card at the Inn, when Chryrie was speaking to someone else about it. Curious - another new sensation with which the Ancient was struggling, remembering some old adage now and then when it struck about the death of felines - she left WestEnd by way of a jump port and ended up just south of where the huge card waited.

Strolling up, the large plywood structure had her mouth opening, glamoured blue eyes staring. "Wow! Be cards for hopin' someone be gettin' better always this large?"

Taking hold of a brush and dipping it in red paint, she writes her sentiment.

Kitty,

I have never done anything like this afore, I be hoping this be right. Please feel better soonest!

Sid

Leaving the brush, checking the well wishes from others, she nods in confirmation to herself, taking off down the road at a saunter.

The gargantuan card brought Sylvia to a halt. Her head tilted just slightly to the right as she searched for an appropriate spot to act as representative for Yearling Brook and its residents.

Kitty,

Our most sincere wishes for a speedy and full recovery. You are most assuredly missed.

With affection,

Sylvia and the people of Yearling Brook Manor

Erin came to check on the card, and then finally decided it was time to sign it....She climbed a staircase to sign it as close to Kitty's window as she could.

Kitty. I miss you, a lot. You're not there to tell me that Sebastian's leaving is okay. You're not there to talk to about every day things. You're not there to pinch my ass or kiss me at work. You're just not here and I miss you. I love you even if I never told you. Thank you for making my time here better.

Please get well.

The Witch was on a mission and dressed as such. She was wearing *gasp* overalls! Long crimson locks were confined in two braids that ran down her back, and the usual clicks that announced her arrival were gone, replaced by near silent squeaks of sneakers on the grass. In her hands" Paint brushes and rolls.

Following her had to be about 15...20"....Quite a few pumpkinheads, all carrying a large bucket of paint, and no two colors were the same. Quiet 'ba's were exchanged and murmured amongst them as they waddled and followed along.

"We're here~!"

Stopping abruptly, The Witch pointed a brush at the large card. Knowing what to do, as they had already been given orders, the pumpkinheads set down their paint, all in a neat row. Humming merrily, The Witch bounced over and dipped her paint brush in about three different colors, making a bit of a mess, and mixing some colors there....The rest of the brushes were dropped haphazardly on the grass, where pumpkinheads went to collect. Though not all had a brush, since The Witch didn't bring enough, so they just used those clothy hands of theirs to start painting with The Witch.

The result some two hours later"

A mini mural, dedicated to Kitty. With a poorly drawn picture of Kitty herself, smiling and happy and skipping along with The Witch and some pumpkinheads, with stars, hearts, rainbows, unicorns, anything and everything girly and pink and purple" It was on there!

Please get well soon Kitty! I miss you, and me and you and F3 should play again soon!

~Elly

Assorted other words had been written there as well. A 'Ba' here. A 'Booo' there, and even the word 'Totally' made it's way into the mix.

For something that was the Chicken's project it sure had taken Chicken long enough to sign the card itself. Lots of careful thought was put into just the right message to paint there.

Kitty, I used to think that I could never be more than a half finished joke, always getting lost at the punchline. You believed in me and gave me a reason to try. I want you to know I believe in you too. I believe you will get better. House Helston and the office are lonely without you. Your's with all my love, Chicken.

A card was written in clear, firm hand, jet-black ink on pale cream-colored paper, and delivered by a pale blue ball of lightning. Signature was in Baatorian runes, so it was quite unclear who sent it...

Get well soon, Kitty. Anything that depends on me, will be done.

Marc Franco

Marc Franco stood back rubbing his chin as he looked at the giant card. Hearing from him would lift anyone's spirits! And Marc was all about helping others in their time of need! He pulled a pink magic marker from the center pocket of his pink hoodie and stepped forward to sign it. Think of the little people! They need your wisdom! Get well soon, Gov.

Hugs and kisses, YOUR Gossip GangSTAR

And, thus, with his heart soaring with the singing birds thanks to his good deed, Marc continued on down the path with a hop in his step.

The dragon hadn't gotten out much lately, so in midflight, she came to a hover, blinking as she spotted the huge card.

Glancing about, she found what was left of a can of paint and a brush, and of course this would be interesting considering her writing wasn't so good in the first place, grasping the brush handle with her tail, she wrote as carefully as she could making it ledgible.

Get well soon Kitty, we miss you.., sincerely, the Shimmerscales.

Uriko Belarus

She didn't know the governor to well, but Uriko felt bad for the poor girl. Waving her arm in the air she scrambled to the card, pulling out her assorted variety of gel pens and picked a pretty blue color, with a grin.

"Dear Miss Kitty, I can safely say all of Rhy'din Misses you! Now, Drink all your fluids, eat all your soup, And high tail your way back here!

Love, Uriko!"

She scribbled a cat face next to her writing and then taped a cookie near the spot on the card with duct tape to make sure it stayed. Everyone liked cookies, and she could only hope it would cheer Miss Kitty up!
