The little dragon had been out and about, braving the crowds{she was getting better in them}. She had one important stop, before she could continue on her errands.

Two baskets slung over her back, each held two large sacks. Four in all. People speculated what she carried, though the little dragon would not be deterred.

Slipping into the offices, she would dip her horned head respectfully to the receptionist. Is the governess in?

The place was decorated with festive winter decorations including sparkling garland streamers and a Yuletide tree with gifts beneath it.

She'd been looking over the plans for the prospective apartment building for displaced and abandoned youth in the city. Hearing the receptionist greeting someone via the open door to her office, Colleen poked her head out the door. " 'ello, Icer! Come on in. What can do for ya?"

A smile to the governor, no fangs show, soon bobbing her head, before joining Colleen in her office.

I wanted to deliver these...to the orphanages. Each sack she carried held something different.

The first bag held an assortment of toys, dolls, trucks, games and puzzles. The second, canned goods. Foods that wouldn't spoil. A few smoked meats were tucked inside as well.

The third bag held books, Everything from infant puppet books, to novels and science. This bag also held coloring and sticker books and crayons of nearly every hue.

Finally the last held clothing. Tops and pants, socks and shoes. Coats, hats, gloves and boots.

"You've been busy! I'm sure the little ones and their caretakers will appreciate these gifts." She grinned from ear to ear as she spotted some of the things her own children liked. "My children have had some of those things, I remember how much they enjoyed them." Collie took her cloak from the coat stand in the corner of her office and draped it over her shoulders. "Has it started snowing, yet, Icer?"

Not quite yet It should nae be long soon before it starts. I've had help. The young ones wanted to make sure other children have a lovely Yule.

I had extra while I was running my errands, so I bought a few warm blankets too. Everyone should be happy on Yule.

"That's wonderful! Not all children are so generous." She lifted one of the baskets. "I have my Land Rover in the back. These should all fit in the back just fine. The next place on the list is a place over near Battlefield Park. Would you like to go along to deliver them?"

The little ones have always been generous. I have a bit of time before I head back home. If you wouldn't mind the company.

"I'd like the company. I can drive you as close to the lair as possible after we get these dropped off." The baskets were loaded up in no time and Collie help Icer get settled into four wheel drive and they headed off to Battlefield Park.

Watching the scenery as Collie drove. Looking back now and then to naturally check on the donations.

It wasn't long before they pulled up in front of a three story brick building that was covered with vines. The leaves and flowers had fallen off, but come spring, they would be bursting with life again. "They have about thirty children here. Compared to other places in the city, it is small. The couple running it have two grown children of their own. He's a teacher and she's a nurse."

Several children were outside playing. Their eyes lit up like lights on a Christmas tree when they saw their visitors arrive.

It may be small, but size does nae matter. Hearts do. Slipping carefully out of the land rover. Wings carefully extending in a stretch as she studied the children.

Some of the teenage residents came out to help carry the baskets. Those that had been playing came a little closer to look at Icer. Collie smiled. "Careful, children. This is Icer, she likes head scratched, but not all dragons are friendly like her."
