Outside of the Town Hall, Ebon drew a deep breath before addressing the crowd that filled the plaza.

"First off, I want to say....thank you! To those who voted for me, or indeed for anyone in this election. There's a warmth of feeling that comes from seeing so many come together to be heard. I'd like to thank my fellow candidates, Thorn and Salvador, Sean and even Evelyn for stepping up and offering their time and service to our city. Your ideas are always welcome here at the Town Hall."

"On a related note, in the past, well, not quite a year, I've spent far too many long days in the Governor's office. For a position with no real political power, you'd be surprised at how much work passes across that desk. Complaints, ideas and suggestions, complaints, requests, bills, complaints, rumors and news, and of course complaints." A ripple of soft chuckling spread through the crowd. "All right, it's not quite that heavy on the complaints, but you get the idea. So I am investigating getting some help. Not a full set of ministers or a council, just a couple of folks to spread the work a bit, and share the load."

A voice from the crowd rang out. "What, you've won so now you just want to slack off?"

Ebon's dark eyes scanned the people, and one eyebrow lifted. "Hardly. You know that I have children, yes" I'd just like to be able to spend a bit more time with them without leaving the job undone."

There was no reply from the naysayer.

"I'll provide more details once I've given it some more thought, and made a few inquiries. In the meantime, thank you again for the giving me the honor of serving as Governor once more! If you'll be out and about town tomorrow night, I know Amber Cartwrite is hosting a little Oktoberfest at the Red Dragon, and don't forget to head over to Dockside this Saturday and Fight Like A Squire!"

"Thank you for your time!"
