"So this is where we stand" No Governor at all?" "Not a one, Brian...Seems this rag called "the Post' was correct. The Governor is in fact missing." "Miss Westbury...Let's send word out to the other Ministers...The longer we take to meet on this, the worse things will look. Table my meetings for the afternoon, and let's send for some brunch. This may take a bit. So how long do you think it will be to get every?" "Brian, word was sent out earlier this morn, after you had spoken to Kerri. She contacted me, and I went ahead, and sent priority dispatches to the offices of the Ministry, to call a special meeting as soon as possible. Also, we sent word to Yotsuba's, and the deli you like so much as well. We figure it should come together fairly soon, depending on how long it takes to locate the other Ministers, and procure their replies." "You are a Godsend, my dear...I have no idea, what I would do without you at times.." "Why you would have someone else assist you of course...Granted, I dare say the Order of Marfa would have probably sent you Nyu, or Rienna. Of course had that been done, utter chaos would ensue. Besides, I worked long enough in the field to warrant this, I dare say. What was that phrase Kerri is so fond of? Oh yes, "Momma got hers", that's it." Shaking his head softly, Brian could not help but chuckle a bit, in reply. "Alright, fair enough...Still you are amazing. In any event, has anyone contacted Erin, in the Governor's Office?" Miss Westbury shook her head, as she went over a small check list in hand. "Why no, not yet, Brian. I'll send a runner out to her as well." "Good...With any luck he just went on a jaunt. Can't say I blame the man, given the political climate lately. Still, with no official word to anyone, that leaves me a bit of concern. I mean, he'd have to leave word with someone, you know" And if he did, why were we not notified" Hmmm?" "That's a good question, Brian. Of course, we'll never truly know, until all the cards are played, and speculation, will only do so much." "Very true, dear...Alright, so for now we get everyone together, and go from there. Also let's send word to Epona, and have her coordinate with the local Watch houses. I'll approve overtime as well, for patrols where we have seen those political groups gathering before. Let's keep them on observe and report only, and see if anything else happens." "Of course, Brian. Are you expecting any trouble?" "Honestly, no...But given, what the Post reported, I do not wish to take any chances...Especially if anyone takes that rag seriously, and decides to act up. So we'll just keep an eye on things. Make presence known, and what not." "Very well, and anything else?" "Oh yes! If you can, send word to Juliane Smith, and please convey my apologies, but I will not be able to make lunch today. We'll have to discuss her works, another time, due to what we have gone on." "Ah yes, Brian. Governor Watch- Day 1.." "Clever indeed, dear. I dare say the Post will come up with something far more catchy." Miss Westbury nodded, and set about her tasks, as the other runner was sent Erin-ward. Another sent to Epona, as well to notify her. Brian then made for his office, a soft sigh escaping the Minister, as he did so. Setting his things upon his desk, he took a glance at the schedule for the day. That lasted but a second or three, as Miss Westbury had already handled things, in reference to re-scheduling, and what not. T"was then, that his attention turned to the large map of Rhy'din herself...Such a large city indeed, and filled to the brim with the possibility of anything, and everything. "Governor, oh where art thou.." said Brian softly, as his eyes panned the map carefully. After a bit if pondering, he decided on one more thing. Calling out from the office he said, "Westbury!! See if we can get a hold of Riley as well, please and thank you! Maybe she has heard something, who knows!" A somewhat rushed reply was called back to him, as he shook his head. His eyes to the map once more, noting rather particular areas, indeed. "Well they did say he would make things interesting.."
