There they stood" It had been quite the bit of time, since the Ravenlock clan, had been inside City Hall, but there, they stood. A faint smile, took form, as Brian, looked to his family once more, and then to the door.. "Citizen Resources, right daddy?", asked Nathressa, as she looked between Brian, and Jenai. Aleyah snorted, a bit and looked to her sister, as she answered, "Duh! That's what it says, right?" "I can see that! But this isn't a church, and it says minister, with daddy's name, stew for brains!", fired back Nathressa, to her sister. Aleyah, facepalmed...Ever the daughter to Brian, and Jenai, she shook her head, and looked to her sister...A soft winded sigh, as her hand lifted, to stroke her chin, looking very much the picture of her father, as she answered, "Not "that' kinda minister! Pshaw!" "Now girls..", said Brian with a chuckle, as he took to a knee between the girls, an arm wrapping about each of them, pulling them towards him. A kiss to each of their crimson tressed heads, offering a gentle squeeze to them, as his eyes panned to his beloved, with such a warm smile. Standing once more, a hand reached out, ruffling each of the twin's hair, as he then leaned to Jenai, placing a soft kiss to her cheek. The twins calmed, remaining with their parents, as Brian addressed them once more. "Girls, yes it says Minister of Citizen Resources, and no it is not church related. Basically it means, I along with the other ministers, and again, like me they are not church related...Well, we assist the mayor, and serve the people of the city, in different ways. Like defense, law, trade, magicks, science, agriculture, and culture and more." "So it's a big job, huh?", asked Nathressa. "Ugh, bur-ock-kra-see!", exclaimed Aleyah, with a bit of a huff, as she shook her head, as she continued, "Ravenlocks don't do bur-ock-kra-see!" This of course, cause Brian to simply laugh quite loudly, and more so, enough to startled, a pair of interns, as they passed the family. After a moment, the husband, father, and now public servant, calmed himself, and answered his daughters, in turn, as he then opened, the door. "You know, you both are right, in a way. It is a big job, and yes, the Ravenlocks don't do bureaucracy...Well, we didn't before, but now, we need to, you know" Daddy wants to make this place better, for us all, and there are lots of people out there, who want to do the same. We need to what we can, for those who can't. Like your mother, with her temple, and aunt Issy's people too. We help anyone, who needs it, as before, and more so, girls, we help everyone now." Inside the family Ravenlock went, as Aleyah, broke off from the pack, with Nathressa in tow. Looking back to Jenai, and Brian, she asked, "So do you and momma still get to kick butt?", the question emphasized, with Aleyah, and Nathressa, kicking, and throwing punches into the air, a moment, as something else then caught their attention, and the girls were off exploring, the reception, area. The reception area itself, was rather wide open, carrying a very pleasant feel...The colours were light, and quite refreshing, coupled with the furniture itself which was more of a simplistic nature. As one entered, they would look to the right, and find a rather comfy looking "L" shaped couch, nestled into the corner, with a small coffee table, that had several of the local publications, strewn atop it...Opposite that, in the left corner of the room, was a beautiful barrista bar, adorned with a pair of coffee makers, and accompanied, by various blends, spices, and what not. A small wooden rack set atop the bar, adorned with various coffee mugs, coupled with baskets of assorted cakes, which of course garnered the attention of the Ravenlock twins, as they each took a stool, surveying the goods, with no hidden intentions, whatsoever. About "'s of the way inside the room, was a waist high, wooden wall, that stretched from wall to wall across. Built into the wall itself, was a swinging gate, and next to the gate, a large oak desk. Behind that desk, was a large "L" shaped floor cabinet, and atop that, book shelves, as well. Directly opposite across the way, against the wall, was another desk, and chair, and a few more shelves, as well. Various boxes were stacked about, as well. Each labeled for it's appropriate division within the jurisdiction of Brian's newly appointed position.

Beyond was the door to Brian's office, which was already wide open..

And voices could be heard within, as well, coupled with the sounds of shuffling, and furniture being moved...Brian sincerely hoped that no one had been 'breaking' the office in, before he had a chance to...A chance to take office, yes, that's it...Not that he would do any 'breaking' of his own...However, we are off track a bit...So let us continue.

"Hello there?", asked Brian, as he looked to Jenai a moment.

A soft shrug was the reply, as a pair exited the office, and now stood before the Ravenlocks.

A young man, no more than twenty or so, and a female, around the same age. Dressed quite nicely, and each bearing the official badge of City Hall, as well. Interns...Each introduced themselves, with a bow. Johan, and Carlette, were the names, which of course prompted several questions from the twins. Questions like, 'what was an intern', and 'how fast have you ever taken out a zombie', or 'is your aunt a force of nature' and what not. The interns, did the best they could, but in the end, had to excuse themselves, in a dead heated run, towards another task...Lucky for them...In any event, Brian surveyed the reception office, a moment longer, not even bothering with the office, for the time being.

Making his way to the door of the reception area, as he peered out a moment, watching the citizens, staff and more so, go about their business...It was then he decided, this was a full time gig, and more so, his office would be staffed twenty four hours a day...Literally. Education knew no limits...Healthcare knew no limits...Employment, Public Works, and more so...Each had to operate dailyand around the clock, and thus, his office would do the same. He knew Henrietta, Jes, and Kerri would assist, in the beginning, but the fact was, he needed more staff, and thus an ad had been taken out, city wide..

"Minister of Citizen Resources, seeking personal and office staff. Must be willing to work long hours, must be willing to do what is needed to be done, must be willing to stand, and make a difference...Wages will be fair, indeed. Positions vary by experience, and ANYONE of age and ability may apply. Departments requiring applicants, are as follows: Citizen Resources, Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Sanitation, Animal Control (Prior Military Helpful), Health Care, Employment Assistance, Public Education. Others will follow. Applicants, may respond and apply in person, at the Jewell Ravenlock Center for Community Partnership, in WestEnd, and also City Hall's Resource Office. Applicants are subject to screening, and background checks of various nature. We ARE an equal opportunity employer."

That said, Brian set to work, sifting files, and organizing, with his family assisting at his side.

So it began there...In that office. It began with a pair of red headed twins, making their 'own' desk area, and division of the city, which they lovingly called "Parks, and Wreck-Reation"...It began with the trust of a Governor, and collegues, and Brian's trust in each of them. It began with a dream to make this city, even greater, and to offer that same chance to be greater, to each and every soul, that honestly wanted to make a go of it...It began in so many ways, but the most important part, of it all, is..

It began..

Nearly two weeks have passed, and the office, finally came together!

Between the chaos, that was the 'parks and rec' department, coupled with the new 'logistics' office, for waste management, the Minister here had his hands full indeed, as did the others, of course. Still, as chaotic, as it was, he loved every moment of it, and this morn was no exception.

So into the reception area, did one Brian enter, coupled with the twins, who rightly, went to their desks, as they prepped for the day ahead. Watching them a moment, Brian chucked, as he was then greeted, by his administrative assistant, Miss Westbury.

"Welcome back, Minister.", said the older woman, as she made for the coffee bar for a moment, as she then, plated two choco frosted donuts, and a pair of chocolate milk cartons. After that she delivered the snacks, to the twins desks, with a smile.

The twins, stood and offered a solid salute, their eyes beaming, as they shouted in unison!, "Thanks, Miss Westbury!"

The older woman, smiled, and patted each on their heads of crimson, as she then turned to Brian once more, heading to her own desk, as she spoke.

"Minister, you have a 10:30, with the Urashima Clan, in reference to employment assistance. There is also a 11:45 with Sisters of Marfa, in reference to the new park, they wish to have built, and dedicate. A 13:15 with the union, in reference to the contracts for Parks, and Rec, and Solid Waste, also a 15:00 with Public works, in regards to the refurbishing of the fountains within the Market Place, and the new street lamp series about the city, and also I slipped in your proposal in reference to the 'traffic lights' as you call them."

Brian sipped his coffee, and smiled a bit...A long day indeed, as he pondered. He nodded softly, and replied.

"Very good, very good indeed. We also need to make sure, that the proposal for the new clinics, and emergency repsonse teams, gets pushed through. I would like the EMRs (Emergency Medical Responders), to finally be placed about the city. We have the proposed locations, and staff ready to move. Also the school initiative, as well. I would like to really try to move with that. Let's see what we can do, near the Market, WestEnd, and the Southern side of town."

The lady offered, a two fingered salute, as she chuckled, "Already on em, Sir."

"Now that is what I am talkng about, right girls?", said Brian, as he looked to the twins...The reply was a mouthy one, filled with donut goodness..The sad part was that Brian understood them.

Smiling to the pair, he continued, "Alright, when you're done, wash up and pay your respects, and Aleyah...No more yelling off with their heads, when you enter the Minister of Justice's office. That poor intern had to take a day off to recover, when you brandished the chakram."

Gathering his paper, he looked into his office, and saw even more waiting, as he made his way within.

"Let us see what the day has instore for us, shall we?"
