Performers to their core, Kiri and Marcus are putting on a show for their guests - friends and colleagues from the theater, from the television studio, families from both sides. Bride and groom, best man and bridesmaids, all decked out in true theatrical style, side by side with the myriad of styles that is Rhy'Din at its finest.

Guests will be seated in the auditorium for the ceremony, which will take place on the stage, officiated by a very giggly Mataya De Luca, who has been ordained a minister just for this purpose. When the newly-weds are presented, everyone is encouraged to cheer - give them a standing ovation, they made it through!

A reception will take place following the wedding in the theater itself, with the stage serving as a makeshift dining room. Tables meticulously draped in royal blue tablecloths with white linen napkins and floral centerpieces occupy the stage, glass and silver brightly reflecting the glow of the theater's lighting, as soft and inviting as candlelight.

The celebration begins with a champagne toast from the Best Man, followed by a sit-down dinner, then music and dancing. The cake is a modern confection, simple but elegant. Everyone is encouraged to sign the guest book, with each guest signing one piece of a puzzle that fits together into the shape of a heart. Guest favors are made up of individual jars of caramel popcorn, each labeled with the guest's name on the front.

A band in the orchestra pit will provide music and entertainment, and after dinner, a small area will be cleared for dancing. In keeping with the theater theme, the Bride and Groom's first dance together will be "I See the Light" from Tangled, sung by friends and former theater cast members, Aran and Carina.

Come along and have fun with the newly-wedded Mr. and Mrs. - dance into the night, sign your name on their puzzle heart, and let them celebrate the start of a new phase in their lives in the company of the people they love and admire so much.

((EVERYONE connected with the Shanachie is invited to this wedding. I mean everyone. Cast, crew, bar staff, band - you are all encouraged to post here and share the love! Thread'll stay open for one week, closing on Sunday 13th August. Give us some sugar, Shanachie!))

Yas could tell this was definitely going to be a theatrical wedding production, with the wedding party all decked out in proper period attire. Leave it to Yas to make sure she went in a totally different direction. With her new "Yassidy' look with green skin and rocker pink mohawk, she was set to party in an equally wild outfit. She would be sure to sign the cute wedding guest heart puzzle, though she would sign it with the name that she secretly still considered herself, "Yasmin?.

A little blue to go along with the green Yas. Michi might have gotten a little starry eyed while watching the proceedings.

Asher was always game for a party to celebrate his Shanachie pseudo-family and as such, turned up in a vintage thrift sport coat, devil-may-care hair, and with a prettily wrapped empty picture frame for the newlywed actors.

Mataya

For once dressed in a surprisingly understated fashion - but then, she was supposed to be the authority figure in this wedding - Mataya giggled her way through the service, and then did her best to outdo everyone when it came to the dancing, dragging Max and Oscar out onto the stage with her when they couldn't work out how to say no. When they could work it out, Jon was her victim of choice, but that didn't stop her from dancing with everyone she could get her hands on - bride, groom, bridal party, family members she'd never met before today, the works.

And tucked away among the presents was a hint at the present she and Jon had gone in together to get for the newly-weds. Just a hint.

Rhiannon Brock

Date: 2017-08-08 21:19 EST
The familiar red roadster pulled up and Rhi was escorted from it by her favorite of the Shanachie's leading men, Eregor. Their children, Colleen and Alinar, had been left in the care of their grandmother for the day. While the pair were generally well behaved, weddings and the festivities that followed were often far too long for toddlers. Their cousins, the Harker twins, however, were ready to show off some of the dance move they'd learned during their classes with the Shanachie STARS. The kids arrived with their parents, Dennis and Rhiannon. The eldest of the Harker offspring, Maggie, and her BFF, Doran Ilnaren, arrived later.

Sabine

"What do we wear to a wedding" I've never been to one before."

Sabine looked up from her script and shrugged to Saila. "I've only been to one I think. And my own of course but I can't wear my wedding dress."

"Want to go shopping?"

"We should definitely go shopping....You knoooow..." Sabine was grinning. This could be bad. "This is a THEATRE wedding. We should totally go all out."

And so that is what Sabine had done. A dress that was more of a costume for herself and something borrowed from the costume department for Josiah. Perhaps she just wanted to see him leathers, regardless, he didn't balk too much and she remembered to thank him later.

Saila drug herself out of bed, reluctantly. Hex was thinking about pouting. He made a show of reaching for her, but didn't actually try to hold her back. "Where are you going" It's Sunday?"

The mercurial teen ran her fingers through her hair, shaking out the kinky waves that came from being tightly braided underneath a wig cap for several hours a night, every night. She looked something like one of those girls in an 80s hair metal music video. Needless to say, her rock n" roll boyfriend was a fan. "There's...this wedding thing?"

Hex sat up in bed, pulling his pack of smokes off the side table along with the lighter. The room filled with the scent of cowboy killer. "...Need a date?"

Saila blinked. "...I dunno. Do I" Do weddings have dates" I've never actually been to one before."

"A lot of them do. To some people, bringing a date to a wedding is a big thing. I've never understood it, but?" He took another drag, his nose wrinkling as he trailed off.

"Oh. Well. If it's a big thing, then obviously I need a date. A big one." She stared at him, hands on her hips.

"A big one?" The greaser blinked, rubbing his chin as he exhaled. "I think I may be able to find you a big date".I'd say about yay high?" He held his free hand up at his forehead. "Yay wide?" Both hands moved this time, to indicate the span of his shoulders.

Saila nodded several times in rapid succession. "Yes. Just like that. And like...really hot. With sexy eyes." She chewed on the inside of her cheek to conceal a grin.

"Oh, hm?" Hex squinted. "That might be tricky." Seeming to give it some thought, he sighed, deflating. "Well, I guess we won't find you that big one" guess you're stuck with me." He grinned then, his brows waggling.

Saila's grin spread. "Good. That's the one I wanted." Pausing, her brows furrowed and she took a step closer. "You sure though' I was just gonna go with Sabine and Josiah, I know weddings aren't really your favorite?"

Hex exhaled smoke with a smile. "Nah, but you are. Hashtag - boyfriend duties."

Annabeth Caldwell

Date: 2017-08-11 00:23 EST
Annabeth wore a tasteful, low-key, sundress in royal blue, with white sandals. After all the focus was supposed to be on Kiri and Marcus, and she was all for that.

She mingled with the other guests she knew, made sure to offer Yasmin, or was it Yassidy, a hug and smile, and generally enjoyed herself. If there were any other emotions lingering beneath that smile she kept them tightly in check.

She congratulated the happy couple, grinning as she did. After dinner she made sure to sign the heart-puzzle, and danced with the crowd.

Her gift of a hand-made wedding ring quilt, protected the delicate crystal ware that rounded off the gift.

"Dance with me Asher! I think I've stepped on Oz's feet too much already tonight, so it's your turn." That might not be completely true, but her date had escaped for a break to get refreshments and probably make sure he got photographic evidence of Belle's funky chicken dance that would be coming up.

"Your hair has such volume and bounce, I'm so jealous. What do you use" Or did you just have seven minutes in heaven in the secret storage room with your date?" A low cat calling sound rolled out of her mouth in his ear since she didn't intend on shoving her friend under the spotlight tonight.

Dancing the night away with him and Oz, as well as other familiar friends and theater members Belle was all smiles as she mentioned more than once, "This is the summer of weddings! I love it!? When questioned though, Belle just gave a secret smile and cued up either another dance or change of subject.

Making sure to sneak in a quick hello and congratulations to Kiri and Marcus at some point in the reception, as well as pretending to not get misty eyed during their first dance (though she did sneak a swift kiss to his cheek as the music played), Belle finished the night with a bit of popcorn and signing the puzzle pieces before leaving.

A gift basket full of honeymoon treats and necessities for the happy couple was left on the gift table, signed Best Wishes! ~ Belle and Oz https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/64/3b/23/643b23dc49d45b65d9e430ea8cc97124—honeymoon-gifts-honeymoon-shower.jpg

Those who knew him would say he'd dressed conservatively for the wedding, though it was obvious why. There may have been a lot of leaning into Ali, a bit of hand holding to go with the low murmurs throughout the ceremony. There would be dancing afterwards. Toasts to go around....he wasn't above clinking his glass with an eating utensil to force the newlyweds to kiss....because that's what you're supposed to do! Cash was always appreciated, or he hoped it was, a card was placed, offering best wishes and probably a bit more than either would have expected from him.

Jonathan Granger

Date: 2017-08-12 11:27 EST
Though Jonathan wasn't one of the cast members of the Rep anymore, he was still involved with the theater and had some friends among the cast and crew. Besides, Mataya would never forgive him if he missed Marcus and Kiri's wedding, and Vicki was excited to go mingle with everyone, friend or not.

Keeping in accord with the theater theme, he and Vicki had chosen outfits of their own borrowed from the theater's costume department.

As far as gifts were concerned, he and Vicki and Mataya and Max had taken care of that by arranging a trip for two to the Galapagos. Because everyone deserved to start their married life off with a romantic honeymoon.

Miranda Bennett

Miranda wasn't about to miss an opportunity to dress herself and Rufus up and enjoy an evening out. Besides, she adored weddings and couldn't wait to see what everyone else was wearing.

A wedding gift came in the form of a picnic basket complete with everything needed for a romantic day in the park, including a plaid blanket, various types of cheese, and a few bottles of vintage wine.

Eregor

Date: 2017-08-13 20:59 EST
Foregoing his usual longcoat, Eregor donned a more traditional black suit for Kiri and Marcus' wedding, his tie and pocket handkerchief matching colors with Rhi's own ensemble. He greeted the couple warmly and offered them the best of love, life, and time together.

As a wedding gift, he and Rhi had brought a wall-mounted light fixture, its metal vines intricately crafted and lifelike. The flowers were tinted glass in a variety of colors, and shone with a soft light.

Doran Ilnaren

Date: 2017-08-13 21:05 EST
While he spent much of the evening helping Maggie keep an eye on her siblings, Doran took a moment to greet the newlyweds and present them with a small gift, a music box that played a jaunty tune of his own devising, topped with two figures that, upon closer examination, were remarkably close approximations of Kiri and Marcus themselves. They danced as the music box played. "It was my idea, but Maggie's great-uncle made it for you. Hope you like it!"
