No sooner had the posters gone up than Mataya De Luca was back at work. The Shanachie was still closed for another week, at the very least, and she knew Max had been hoping she would take that week off and spend some time with Juno and himself, but this was an opportunity that was only too good not to miss. Quickly, she gathered together the information about the Parade, and sent it out to the various members of her companies and crew, inviting them all to come along and offer up their own unique brands of expertise in creating the Shanachie's float for the Parade itself.

Fellow Shanachites,

As a public venue that provides entertainment to the community of Rhy'Din as a whole, I feel that we at the Shanachie should be represented in the Citizens Day Parade. I am therefore asking for volunteers to assist in the building of a float, the conception and actualization of that concept in 3D, as well as performers to man the float itself on the day. Please let me know as soon as possible whether you are interested in being involved in this endeavor.

((Everyone who has an involvement with the Shanachie Theatre, however small, is invited to take part in this thread; however, there is no pressure on any of you to become involved if you do not want to. The thread will be locked on the morning of Saturday 10th September, and I will post the description of the float here myself. ))

Why, why, why did she sign everyone up for this? 'Taya didn't know. It was enough of a challenge to be putting on a new show, without spending a good portion of every day working on a float for the parade on Saturday. Of course, she'd specified to the company members that their involvement in building the float wasn't compulsory - however, she did expect every single one of them to be on the damn thing during the parade, whether they wanted it or not.

Well, not everyone. Lelah was still recovering from her bout of RBF, and Jon had the wedding on Saturday, but everyone else, Mataya was adamant, would be on the float, in costume. Which was why her costume mistress was so naffed off at her in the first place. Add to that the new Art Director having a minor breakdown because of the number of old sets that were being cannibalized for this shindig, and the Parade - while a good idea, and bound to be a lot of fun - was giving 'Taya sleepless nights in the middle of a run.

But everything was on target for Saturday, despite Seven Brides being on at the moment. So with any luck, the Shanachie would at least offer up a good turn out for the Citizens Day Parade.
