Brian left Jenai with her sisters in the Inn, and went right to work pounding the pavement once more in the WestEnd. Making no bones about remaining in the shadows just yet, Brian stuck to the more populated areas for the time being as there was still a bit of light left in the day. He passed various shoppes and offered polite nods in greeting, some replied back, others simply locked their shoppes up tightly without a word, some even offered disgusted faces and an insult or two.

Yet not a one did anything more, as rumors still ran amok that the Scathachians and their allies, had been somehow involved in the murders. Warning posters were ever present, and made sure to let the citizens know to no end, who to possibly look out for, yet they had no evidence to the fact that any of the Daughter of Scathach, or their friends were involved.

So Brian continued onward, and went along the usual route for roughly an hour, as darkness then began to settle over the realm, and creep into the city, he decided it was time to take to the roof tops once more, and finally cut loose and let off some of this pent up frustration in regards to this whole ordeal. Which is exactly what he had done...Two purse snatchers, and a pair of broken wrists and ankles later, Brian found himself crouched upon the corner of a two story building that overlooked one of the shadier portions of the WestEnd, deep in thought. He had never heard Kerrithra aka Kerri, sneak up on him unil she was dead near atop him. Still he never flinched, as he eyed the streets and it's people.

"Don't even think about it.."

"Huh!" How didja" Aw come on! I mean I was like 'sneaksneak' and you were like 'quietquiet' and I was like gettin' ready to go 'rawr' and 'ppffffft!' and stuff, man! I mean come on, can't ya toss a cat girl a break!" Noooo Ya gotta be all grumpy, Mistah Patrol and what not, so what happened, another dead stiff?"

Brian remained where he was, the half mask slipped down, as he shook his head and sighed a moment...A gloved hand raised and massaged his temple a bit, as he turned a bit and looked directly to Kerri, his blues to her emeralds, the look on his face was hardly a pleasant one, as he answered.

"Like we need another f*cking body. Let's look at the total count alright, we had the first couple, then the brothers, thats four...The man who's lips Jen and I got, and a family of f*cking five...That's ten dead people, and let's not discount the copy cat's five as well, so that's fifteen dead people as a result of this, and we don't have a f*cking thing!"

"Bri...Come on, man. You can't expect it all to fall into place like that, I mean look so many are working on this...Something has to give. Something will, I know you kn—"

"Then why the f*ck hasn't it!" Where are our breaks, a f*cking bone, anything! All that investigating, and all I got was that we're looking for a woman, and a woman with a specific compound in her hair, that's it! Nothing else! People have been slaughtered left and right, and we got f*cking hair...Hair!"

"What about that girl you met, the guild girl...Ya know, that one that talked to Jen's sister and stuff. Anything on her" She was actin' awful funny that night, too. I tried to see what I could, but the 'KFC' came up empty. Sorry."

"Nothing...She's vanished it seems. No traces, whatsoever. And I haven't seen Garet in over a week, and he hasn't been to the University or home at the boarding house since, I gave him the samples the night we were at the warehouse. He sent me a message and told me what he found, and then nothing. So I am empty there too."

"Well you've been busy, everyone has! You and Jen, lookin for the house, Jewell at the oracle, that Kitty woman, she is a guardsma— er woman, and she is running for Governor. That Icer sister getting into her stuff, Eddie has been patrolling like a beast to boot. Issy and them checked that house with the barrister too. It's just gonna take time."

"How many more are gonna, die" I mean let's be blunt, how many more victims will we have to sort through before we get that break, I mean all this work, and patrolling and what!" It's been quite a few weeks, and we got shit...How long has this been going on' Look I don't expect this to solve lightening quick, and I know it's obvious they don't want to be caught, but shit...

I mean look at us all, Kerri...We keep a happy front for the public, we try to forge ahead, and we get kicked in the nads at every f*cking turn! Look at our resources, I mean here we are in Rhy'din and we can't find someone for a Scrying, or maybe a Necromancer to talk to the dead" Hell, I'll take a fortune teller at this— Wait...Wait...That's it."

"Um, dude...First off Necromancers equal bad Mojo, you know that! How do you even know ya can trust them' Hell, do ya even know any' As far as a scrying, who the hell would commit to that' You know they will want some kinda gawd awful payment or agreement, no...Best to leave it as it is, know what I mean' Look, I don't like this talk. I mean it, Bri. You know how I feel about Necromancers."

"You're right, I'm sorry...Frustration got the best of me. Anyways, I need to go. Got some place to check out."

With that, Brian moved from his crouch and stretched a bit. Pulling up the half mask to cover his nose and mouth, he nodded to Kerri and headed towards the far side of the building into the darkness. An absent wave was given to the Mithra, as she spoke.

"Bri, where ya goin?"

"The cemetery."

And just like that, Brian vanished into the dark...Kerri shook her head slowly, and looked to the sky, letting a sigh escape her lips. Soon she too was gone, hoping it was just frustration that got a hold of Brian, and that it would leave soon enough.
