:: After departing from the market place, Shea made her way towards that great Scathachian Sanctuary .:: ::Long had Shea passed by the great place with its magic wards. Some of the wards were cast by mage or alike, some were by Clerical. Shea knew this she could sense them all, as she closed in on the great walled place. She knew she had no invite to be there, so there for she could not enter, any mage with have a wit could know this. She came to stand a few feet back from the main gate, that ward held like a bubble over the place. Shea was impressed. ::

::Too long had Shea gone wondering about, doing things her own way, keeping the streets as safe as one lone knight could, but now even she sensed it. Something else was here, far more than those potential things from her realm or Connar's, which weighed heavily upon her mind at the moment. But something else. something dark yet unseen.::

::Shea knelt to one knee in classic knight fashion, and unsheathed that blade from her left, the hilt tapped on the ward three times, knock, knock, knock. Then she re-shetahed that swept hilt blade. If they wished to they would answer, someone would. If not, Shea would continue to do things on her own. For the people of Rhydin::

The crimson sash about her waist was the first striking color to breech the icy haze in the air, the blackness of her silhouette was next. Isuelt opened the main doors of the Sanctuary and started for the gates, as their visitor had made herself known.

And although the Scathachian did not recognize the woman, she did recognize the posture, the kneel. A knight.

"Well met," Isuelt cried out against the day's bitter chill. "Please....enter," she swung open the gates and beckoned the woman to follow her inside to the warmth of the receiving hall of the Sanctuary.

::Shea rose up from that kneel and passed through the wards and towards the woman who called her in wards. Jade hues rested on Isuelt. Shea may not have been known here. But life spent watching and listening made it so she knew very well who welcomed her in to the Sanctuary::

::The chilly winds swept through her hair as she walked following behind Isuelt, towards the warmth of the sanctuary. Not knowing what to expect next. But keeping her wits about her, was she edgy' perhaps. Nervous would be more on the target.::

::Those gloved hands pressed together under that dark green cloak that swayed behind her, as she walked behind taking in the sights from this view of the great walled Sanctuary::

The Judge swept in through the main entrance hall and off to the right, letting the heavy ash door close securely behind them. The receiving room boasted a rich fireplace that was in the middle of consuming the hefty pine log within it, and several backless couches.

It was to the couch closest to the fire that Isuelt gestured, "Please." Then she sat on opposite settee and began, "What can we, the Daughters of Scathach, assist you with?" For Isuelt was particularly interested in what this woman was going to say, a female paladin (at least, that is what she reminded Isuelt of) was something not often seen in these parts.

::Shea followed, jade hues took in every detail. From the color of the door, to every small detail of the room. Jade hues floated to the fire, then back to Isuelt.:: "What can we, the Daughters of Scathach, assist you with?"

:: the words floated to Shea as she took a seat, tucking those dark blue strands of ever falling hair behind her Elven ears. Jade hues rested upon those of Isuelt, as she spoke:: " It is not what you can do for me, but perhaps what I could do for you, M'lady."

::Shea was being formal, well taught well trained in matters such as this:: "My name is Shea GreenStone, and for some time now I have been watching. It is one of my finer skills. I have been here in Rhydin some time now, taking care of things, darker things." :: she would not state what, or who right now::

"I have heard all to much of the blood baths, all to much have my ears taken in of death of innocent Rhydin people upon the streets. I know you here, I know many of your sisters I am a friend in common. I come To offer my help, there is something looming, I can sense it. "

:: Those jade hues never left their mark as she spoke...shimmering in the fire light, those shimmering jade hues with those swirls of blue, and flecks of sliver here and there. Seemed to study everything, take in every little detail, softly Shea continued:: "I am well aware that you have very many skilled people here, to aide you. I may be sticking my nose in where it is not wanted. I am bound by oath and honor, I am loyal to those who need me. If I can help, I shall do so. I am sure you must have questions of me, I will answer them fully. I have nothing to hide. "

The woman did have a point, there were many noses sniffing around the Scathachians. And while that point was not unfathomable, it was curious. Still, the noble of these noses were doing so in earnest and to aid the Sisters.

Isuelt's dark eyes took in Shea as she spoke; there was something about her that yielded a favorable verdict. And as the elf finished, the Scathachian leaned forward with her elbows balancing gingerly upon her thighs and nodded. "Well, in that case, Shea GreenStone, we would be forever grateful for the gift of your eyes and your loyalty." Isuelt continued, "You have invited questions, however. And at present, I only have one. Why do you wish to aid us? And please, do not think me so simple as to accept an altruistic answer of making this city safer. Please...I would ask for your honest feelings on this."

The Judge remained in her forward lean, the shadows and light play from the leaping fireplace flames camouflaging her expression.

::Shea looked in to Isuelt's dark eyes, taking in her words.:: "Though it is a noble goal to make the city safer, it is more than that. Why do I wish to aid you? Because I am bound by oath to this city. As I am bound to my oath to my homelands,I gave my word long ago to help the people here, not just to make Rhydin safer to make every one safer, to make the ands beyond safer to make this realm, better."

:: Those gloved fingers ran through her dark blue hair as she spoke, her eyes had yet to leave Isuelt's, those jade hues often spoke volumes over what she did with her lips. They showed her honest nature, and deep magics..::

" I know its dangers, I know it may never be safe again, not fully. Not without a lot of hard work. It is my honest feeling that something is coming, something lurking. Something that may take more than a simple blade to take down. I offer more than my skills with a blade, or bow. More than my keen sight or hearing. It is my honest feelings M'lady that before too long that this city will need my help. I have done what I can on my own.Patroling, keeping an ear to the ground. But I am but one woman. If I ally my self with you here, it may do more good for the city than me working on my own. I expect no reward, and I know the fights may be bloody, and that death may come. I have no fear of death, I have faced it too many times to fear it now," :: Jade hues swept to the fire light then back again, Shea wasn't just doing this for the city, or its people. She was going it for her self, to keep to her vow.::

" I come to aid you, to do more than to make the city safe again, I do it so it shall remain and not be driven in to darkness. Rhydin may not be my home, but it has become it. And as such I will protect it with my very life." ::Jade hues looked back to the fire::

"You're going to defend this city with your very life, huh' Damn, I wish we had more of your kind around here then," a small jest as the Scathachian leaned back against the chair.

In any event, she had a difficult time believing that too many people, much less someone of Shea's background would be willing to defend RhyDin to their death.

She took another few moments in the flickering glow of the firelight to study the woman who had come bearing aid. "The streets are getting dangerous...and bloody. I've been asking those offering to help us to get out there and poke around. But now, I don't know if I can in good conscience do that anymore. The constable was killed, as well as several night Watchmen. Regular citizens are afraid to go out at night." She sighed, "But, every set of eyes is something. And you do look like you can take care of yourself."

She stood up and crossed the few paces to where Shea had seated herself, and held out her hand, "So...thanks. And, I guess, welcome aboard."

::Shea rose to her feet slowly, thinking that's it, no tests. Shea shrugged softly, holding out her gloved hand:: " I assure you My Lady I can defend my self very wel. With blade, bow, maigc or hand to hand combat. I am aware that the streets are unsafe and that things have been bloody and dangerous. I do not fear danger. I must say I expected some sort of test, I have heard much of the sisters here, their training ways, bare foot warriors and such."

:: perhaps it was all rumor Shea thought:: "Thank ye, for welcoming me, I will offer my eyes and ears, and I am willing to patrol at night even, hell with the dangers...I have seen much blood, faced death more than once now. Lived a few hundred years, lead men, women in to war, I am used to the blood and death parts of living," :: so true...how would Shea even begin to try an explain how much she meant her words, that's he would protect Rhydin even until death...and beyond.::

"Test?" Isuelt mused, her expression waxing light. "Why would we test you for wanting to help" Now if you had proclaimed interest in training to become a Scathachian, that would be a different story."

After all, what test was needed for those who had come to the Sanctuary lately offering aid. Isuelt was no fool, she had only sent them out with vague instructions to keep their eyes and ears open. Perhaps that was the test: to see what they accomplished, saw or heard...and what they came back with. Perhaps the Scathachians were not as trusting as they would have themselves believed...especially in light of recent events.

The killings have been so despicable and lately so close to home, that Isuelt was ready to accept the old adage: Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

What better way to tell who was who?

::Shea nodded softly:: : "I suppose I am just used to being tested, I am a lady of old ways I suppose." :: Her life was ahuge test, Shea was oddly happy to not be tested just for wanting to help::

"Interest in Training.". ::shea had not come with the intent to become one of the sisters, she knew not what that would be like, or what in her life would clash with it, but it peeked some of her interest::

" tell me, if one was going to become a Scathachian..what tests would one have to go through' " :: Jade hues shifted from Isulet to the fire and back, perhpas Shea would have interest in it, unless some part of who she was or her other oaths clashed with it::

At first Isuelt balked at the question.

Then a dismissive chuckle ensued as she figured Shea was teasing her, "Oh, well...that is actually a whole process, cher. Not just a single test-" Upon second glance at the woman's face, the Judge realized that perhaps it was an earnest inquiry. She cleared her throat and began again, "It's usually a decades-long journey, in truth. Girls are selected or volunteered and sent to the Island of Shadow, where they are trained for several years. Trained in weaponry and spirituality." Isuelt glanced to the wall as the shadows began to lengthen, then back to Shea, "Even those who are trained from the youngest ages do not usually leave the Island until they of age. Eighteen at least. And some choose to remain on the Island. Actually....most do." Her expression took on a somber shade, as if this was something sacred to be discussed, "The Daughters of Scathach are highly disciplined in Her art of warfare, and in Her rituals. We are, after all, Her priestesses."

Isuelt knew that not many of the people they came into contact with, at least here in RhyDin, thought of the Scathachians as priestesses. Still, the fact of the matter was that they were. And the High Holy Festivals of the War Goddess were still observed, even by those living off of the Island. Isuelt's mind wandered just then to the day's date. The Feast of Scathach, their most sacred day, was approaching.

She blinked and looked back to Shea, hoping that she was able to convey the seriousness of her calling, while not insulting her.

::Shea listened watching Isulet as she spoke of what one would hav to go through tobebcome one consiterered a Scath. Shea could sense that serious tone in Isulet's voice, it was a calling, as any other, and she was serious about every word, shea was all ready impressed greatly with this place and its power, and now even more so, to see one speak such of their calling.::

:: She nodded softly as Isulet finished:: "sounds serious..and a worthy way for those who might wish to take it.". ::It was a worthy path for those who wished to become one of those devoted to Scathach. Shea right now did not, she'd had enough of shadows, enough of training. But that was for now, perhaps later Shea would see if that could eb a worthy path for her to undertake. Jade hues shifted to look around the room::

"Priestesses.." .::Another nod:; "a worthy title for those here...I thank you again for welcoming me to help you all. I shall go see what I might pick up,see if I can find anything new out, and report back as soon as I find something of use to you? ::She bowed her head deeply, jade hues looking back to Isulet::
