Given the way things had been on a haphazard stream of fast-forward recently, Isuelt saw this as a divine gift, not just from Edward Batten and whoever had entered her name into the drawing, but from Scathach herself. Isuelt was sure that her Goddess knew the sacrifices and the stress that her Daughters had been struggling with. Perhaps this would be a reprieve for them all. Perhaps Scorp would come waltzing back into town and the two of them would have a secluded weekend. Perhaps it was a respite of the peace and quiet Isuelt, herself so desperately needed.
