Gharnholme

Corbane: An assassin in the employ of Vladimir Glashion, Corbane posed as an acolyte of Leorn, bringing Lucius a chalise of wine poisoned with Akailis root. When Lucius rose as a deathknight, he slew Corbane and bound his soul as a spectre to this realm. Corbane today serves as the ghostly seneschal of Gharnholme, though he longs for release and would not hesitate to help inflict grief on the family if he could.

Sir Herzog and the knights: Paladins sworn to serve Lucius, Sir Herzog and the paladins Bran, Gauth, Neville, Solon and Tethric fought alongside their lord in several campaigns in the service of Leorn and allaies to The United Dragons of Light. Disenchanted by the excesses of Glashion and the apparent corruptness pervading the church, Herzog chose to follow Lucius into darkness the night the deathknight returned, swearing fealty to the undead knight. Together, the six died in the conflagration that overtook Ravens Fast, and arose the next night as skeletal warriors. Today, they form the Fist of DeAuster, riding beside their lord into battle upon the backs of nightmares.

Servants:

Betina: Once a warrior of the Black Tiger's, Betina left the battlefield to become the head of housekeeping under Myrialla. Toned by years of fighting, the steel-haired woman is known for her surly demeanor and willingness to talk back to anyone, especially in "her" kitchens.

Odette: Once a slave on Lucius's chain, Odette earned her freedom by saving Daniels life when he was just three years old, after the young boy had started choking on a berry he had stolen from behind Myrialla's back. Skilled in cooking, she came to be the head cook for Gharnholme and now Shadows Falls. Married to Jerrak, she spends as much time as she can in the camps when the Kargash are taken off the front lines.

Dalina: Another former slave, Dalina is Odette's feisty assistant.

Carlin: A former slave whom Lucius bought from a neighboring landholder. Carlin earned his freedom not long ago, and agreed to stay on as head of the stables. He has a love for horses, and frequently takes Allannah riding.

The Slaves:

Belinda: A young human brunette purchased from Lord Brutin, Belinda is the informal trainer of the chain, helping Myrialla teach the new arrivals their duties as well as the dances and various positions required.

Tisha: Known for her dancing, Lucius and sometimes Daniel take the half-elf red-head when abroad with the warbands. Secretly jealous of Belinda's position as first girl.

Allannah

Rhian

Sapphire: Once the mistress of Lord Urevan, the young woman was taken by Fiona and presented to Lucius as a gift because of her looks, an almost exact match of his long-dead fianc"e. Lucius renamed the girl Sapphire that very night, after recording her breaking for Urevan's "enjoyment".

Mora: A new arrival, Mora originally came to gharnholme seeking work, but was accidentally put in with a batch of newly-arriving slaves. Accepting and coming to enjoy her new life, much different than her own, Mora is the quiet peacekeeper among the girls.

Anya: A new arrival, Anya was purchased by Lucius as a gift for Daniel for his upcoming twenty-second birthday.

Jasmine: A chocolate-skinned girl from the Southern Expanse, Jasmine was originally owned by Lord Lieance DeCort, and sold to Lucius at a meeting that broke ground for the Gharnholme/Malirid alliance. Her exotic looks caught Daniel's attention, and Lucius gave her to the young man as his first slave. Of course, Daniel also has to deal with her fiery temper and rebellious streak. Jasmine has become close to Rhian, the two forming a sisterly bond when the young elf was brought to the Underhalls by Cieara.

The Northras

The barbarians of the Dawnsbreak Mountains of Kaylieth are collective known as The Northras. Broken into several tribes, the barbarians roam the mountains in ancestral tribal patterns, with the tribal leaders, generally known as a chief, warlord or khan, depending on the tribe, meeting twice a year to discuss tribal conflicts, relations with the outside world, etc. The Northras have had no permanent settlements, but in the last two years a small town has begun to grow outside the walls of Gharnholme and is currently the homestone for the Lamoss tribe, as well as having homes of warriors from other tribes.

They are known for raiding the southlands of Kaylieth, striking into Mercivya and Malirid in the past, as well as roaming further south into the more civilized realms. Recently though, those raids have been curtailed, and the Lamoss even turned back a small orc raiding party from the town of Torrence during the last winter. The Northras as a people worship many gods, including the gods of the elder pantheon of Pandemonium, giving rise to a separate "tribe? of fanatics known as the Bloodbound.

Known Tribal names and banners: Black Tiger " A running cat surrounded by a wreath of elm Kargash- A rams-head skull emblazoned with the runic symbol of strength Lamoss " A running horse over stacked swords The Bloodbound ? A bloody fist or sword
