Dark, the streets of Rhydin were perfect for death and destruction from villain and savior alike for sure. The cold air separated the tough criminals from the truly insane.

Sandrine Davenport would have been here in this cold air tonight, stalking something more impressive than the average rabbit, no she was stalking the legendary criminal known only as the Zodiac Killer. Elusive as he was dangerous. Even though she had a name, she had a new name for the streets, a name suitable for a vigilante, the saint of killers. Although the name may have been a little confusing for the general public to understand, she claimed to be one of the good guys by slaughtering the criminals with no mercy, and even once and awhile, eating some of them. She was on the trail of a lead she got from her last victim. "The Zodiac lives in the warehouse section; it is there he is feared the most." The dark angel made her way to the area with those words echoing in her head, what she would find there would not be what she expected.

In a crumbling and derelict building there would be a man there, dropped to his knees and crying. The angel approached the man slowly and being careful not to bring the whole place down with one single misstep. "Hey, are you ok there?" She asked in her seductive and calming voice to get the guy to talk easier. The man looked up and what Sandrine would see would horrify even a killer like her. The man had no eyes. They were torn out of his skull, but the wounds were healed. The blood had dried and looked like tears. He tried to speak, but the only words that came out were so badly distorted that they made no sense to her. The man did do something however that clued her in to the situation.

Get out of West END! It was burned into the wall by some unknown source and it was signed by the Man in Black. Apparently another vigilante came here first. Sandrine, she turned back to the man and used her fist and slammed it against his face. There was a crack that echoed from the neck that snapped, she would deal with the one in her streets later, and she had a job to do now.

She turned and standing there in the doorway, was the mysterious Man in Black. Sandrine had attracted his attention by killing his prize, not acceptable in his eyes.

The man in black was more of a superhero than a murdering vigilante, and this kind of justice would not stand. "Well, well. What do we have here?" The man was completely in black, nothing of him could be seen save for his outline. "Why don't you tell me?" Sandrine was not interested in talking or learning about this new comer she wanted him gone. "Let me get to the point, you leave now. Or you die now." She was confident in her abilities to take this guy down quickly.

"Sorry, killer, but I am afraid that neither of those two options is right for me. You to me are just as bad as that man you just killed. Everybody deserves a second chance you know." He stated plainly. Sandrine, simply put was not impressed. "Then die." And she lunged at him. She was very fast and easily connected to Mister Black, and out into the streets the two of them went in a blur.

The Black one had much more experience and maneuvered her body to use her own force against her, and the Saint was tossed into the wall across the street. She was quick to regain her composure. "Like I said, everybody gets a second chance. This is yours, take it and leave." The mysterious one stated firmly and quite loudly. Sandrine ignored the warning and attacked yet again, this time was different, and no mercy as her claws came out in an instant. Mister Black was fast, and would have avoided her fists, but not quite expecting the claws to come out like that. All six of them plunged into his chest, all the way to the knuckles.

Time stood still for a moment. Had she killed this one so easily' The man's body dropped and seemed to be dead. "And if you liked that for acting, you are going to love this!" The man seemed to come to life. Sandrine while in a bad spot, was not surprised. Strategy had over come brute force once again. Fortunately for the saint, this man was not a killer. She was easily pushed off of him. Those blades slid out of his body, yet he showed no sign of pain. "We seem to both have secrets, now it is time to end this." Mister Black lifted off into the air. "Goodbye, saint." Sandrine had no time to react as black energy came from the sky and the sides. As if she were in a microwave oven, her flesh burned for what seemed like an eternity, but in reality was only a few seconds. Sandrine lay on the ground, already healing and the man was gone.

Dawn was coming, and it was time for the both of them to retreat to their respective corners for now, Sandrine flew off into the fading darkness and vowed to get even with this mysterious new "Hero".
