Had it really been a week or less since she'd met Wil" PJ did a mental rewind as she lay on the couch and stared at the ceiling of Tony Graziano's apartment. Wil was turning out to be a great drinking buddy at the very least; which was probably why she wasn't clear on the timing of it all. But - he kept her amused and entertained, and "Amused and Entertained" was probably better than "Bored and Looking for Trouble". (Though if PJ knew PJ, trouble would find her whether she was looking for it or not.)

PJ took the stuffed ladybug will had gotten her for Christmas and threw it in the air, watching it tumble as it came back down into her waiting hands. Wil had said it was like her" tough on the outside, soft on the inside, and overall cute - maybe not those words exactly, but that was the gist of it. While the thought was sweet, PJ wondered just how true it was. She supposed she really saw herself more like a hard boiled egg: Hard shell, slightly cracked and more than likely rotten in the center.

As the ladybug flew ever closer to the ceiling, PJ pondered on the cold, hard facts. Wil hardly knew her, knew nothing of her past, knew nothing of her bad habits and old addictions, so why in the hell was he acting so anxious to see her again? The thought that he was anxious caused PJ to grin, though. Truth of the matter was PJ wanted to see him again, too. Was it moving fast' Yes. Did PJ care" Nope. She didn't like to slow down, she liked to keep going and going as fast as possible. Fast meant less time to think, less time to analyze, less time to really give a damn as to what was going on. Fast fit just fine into PJ's life.

Never mind the fact that things moving fast tended to end in fiery crashes. Much like the ladybug: PJ gave the stuffed bug a final fast toss towards the ceiling. It hit the ceiling with a hard thump, veered right, crashed onto the coffee table and ultimately knocked over PJs empty tequila bottle.

"Awww" Shi-". "
