Jello Cherry and Fruit Slice Shots
3 ounces any flavor jello
1 cup rum
1 cup water
Mix and once settled let the fun begin. For fruit slices line the bottom of a fruit mold with colored sugar and after the jello mix has cooled and is close to the setting stage pour into the mold and let it set the rest of the way. If it is a silicone mold just press and rock on a fruit slice jello shot! For rainbow cherry jello shots, take shot glasses or an ice shot glass mold and fill only just with the first flavor or color jello. Once set place the cherry in the mold and fill with the next color. As each layer sets add the next color till the mold is full. Wiggle the tasty treat free or lightly pull on the cherry stem. Then indulge!
Classic Mojitos
4 ounce club soda
3 sprigs of mint
1.5 ounces of light rum
2 teaspoons sugar
A splash of water on the mint and sugar and muddle together using either a pestle or wooden muddler. Add the ice to the glass and pour the club soda and rum in. Serve with a lime or lemon wedge on the rim.
Border Maragritas
1 ounce grand marnier
1 lime wedge
1 ounce lime juice
1 shallow container of salt
2 ounces of tequila
Dampen the edge of the glass with the lime both inside and out. This is done best by placing half the wedge on either side of the glass and squeezing as you work it around the rim of the glass. Dip the now damp rim of the glass in the shallow dish of salt and spin. Wait a few seconds before lifting for the salt to set. In a shaker mix the lime juice and tequila, for extra cool add with ice in a blender till a slushie consistency is reached. Pour into a glass and a lime wedge for decorations.
