Under the Sea Setting

The Combat Annex to the north of the Academy of Bristle Crios campus opens to reveal its newest dance theme, Enchantment Under the Sea. Cool blue lighting effects cover the walls in flowing vibrant hues, mimicking fluid waters. Tables surround the dance floor to provide a place to sit, snack, and chat with friends and loved ones. Dazzling tropical flowers sit as centerpieces and decorations around the space. Above the main floor is a balcony perfect for an intimate stroll as you gaze at the dance floor below. The main focal point of the room is the 94 feet long, 21,000 pound fiberglass model of a female blue whale, floating gracefully above the party.

The backdrop for this prom is a underwater view of dolphins that flip and play behind people as the holographic camera takes pictures. Little fish and octopus move in and around the people making it beyond memorable. Please note the holographic camera catches all! Remember that special moment as you reach for each other or your first kiss. The images captured will replay your movements.

A booth is set up with floating oysters, their shells open and closing as they bob in the water. Pick up a pearl and try to toss it into an open oyster. If you win, pick a sea plushie made by the students. Choose from an octopus with a top hat to a seahorse, a turtle and even a bright red crab!

Take a seat in front of one of the ten water-loving dolphins. Lucky, Scooter, Blinky, Spinner, Rocky, Schooner, Skippy, Cruiser, Sparky, and Splasher. Grab hold of the mounted water pistol and take aim. Shoot enough water into your targeted area and watch as your dolphin swims across the stage to victory! Prizes for first place include stuffed whales, dolphins, and clown fish, and a large variety of rubber duckies. Bystanders beware of stray water streams!

Under the Sea Snacks

Thanks to the culinary students, there would be a few sea themed desserts during the event...

Pearl Cookies Trays of luscious cookies resembling oysters with pearls are laid out on a few tables around the event. Each cookie is filled with a decadent icing. Butter cookies with buttercream icing. Almond cookies with creamy marzipan filling. Vanilla wafers with French vanilla meringue. Chocolate cookies with chocolate ganache. Red velvet cookies with cream cheese icing. Each cookie proudly displays a single iridescent, edible candy pearl.

Candy Sushi These creative delicacies are all made of sweet ingredients. The sweet rice is created with crispy rice cereal and melted butter and marshmallow to hold it together. Some of the candies simulate the rice with large marshmallows instead. Fun fillings include gummy worms, red licorice twirler candy, and even gummy fish. The seaweed is created with strips of colored fruit snack sheets. Sashimi rolls have cute little gummy fish sitting on top for your delight.

Needless to say Angel might have had a hand in what color her mother is wearing to the prom. Her dress by Zac Posen and found at a local shop in Rhy'din's market district. The jewelry a mix of inspiration between projects at her forge and the shoe found at the same shop as the dress.

Jewelry links earrings, necklace, and ring.

Her dress by the daring Valentino, jewelry by Bottica and the fedora and shoes....well a girl has to have some secrets.

Martyr

Date: 2013-05-04 04:10 EST
After a long drawn out day of shopping with her older Brother Emlen. There were dresses being picked out for her that wouldn't fit a ten-year-old, and as the day of frustration and whining finally concluded, they did agree on the one. Val is the only one to blame for this, since he wouldn't take her shopping.

Martyr will be attending the prom in an elegant yellow gown, and silver high heels. Her hair will be set up and back, with curls tumbling down her back.

At this point in time Minoko isn't entirely sure what a prom is, but she'll be attending regardless. This is the dress that Emlen and Martyr picked out for her.

Serine would probably be doing more chaperoning than anything, but she was still happy to attend. She decided on a blue patterned dress and matching pumps to change up her style a bit and still fit within the night's theme. She rounded out her outfit with a gold seashell pendant and a gold cuff that resembled coral.

Well since she did take over some of Hunter's classes it was only fair that she round it out with prom. In this case someone had to be from the deep end. Her dress hand wired by your Jack truly, full of led lights. The battery pack conveniently placed for added padding.Glowing shoes and some wicked jewelry to match.

Warning! Jack's dress is programed to change at randoms. It might change colors, flash multiple colors or schools of fish might go swimming by. Remember the shark is only an illusion of light!
