Welcome to the Eternal House

The Eternal House is one of the houses in the Coven Bristle Crios. Founded by Morgan Doyle after leaving Dublin, Ireland, Bristle Crios ensures a safe haven for everyone who maintains peace and protection within its grounds. People of all races, abilities, and backgrounds are welcome as members or guests of the Coven.

Eternal House in Bristle Crios is dedicated to those who come from mythical and ancient forces. Elementals, shapeshifters, dragons, beasts, celestials, mutants, imps, fairies, elves, merfolk, and any other mythological creatures are always welcome at the Eternal House.

The house offers great rooms and facilities providing ample space for our members. Feel free to browse through our libraries to learn more about your mystical abilities. Just because you live forever, doesn't mean you know everything. Check out our classrooms to learn something new. Around the house is open land, to allow room for our learning members to practice new abilities. Behind the house, lay an expansive lake and flowing stream, perfect for our water-faring members.

Members of the Eternal House may tell their stories here.

OOC: This is thread is designed to allow members of this house to post a more detailed profile about their character, give players an opportunity to tell a short story about their character's background, write a description of the character's room in the house with pictures, or any other brief topic. Yasmin

The Amazing....Yasmin!

Born in Damietta, Egypt, Yasmin was different than the other children. Blue skin. White hair. Her parents tried to keep her safe from others, but she was a free spirit. She ran away from home and joined the circus. She was a hit! People assumed the blue girl was just a fake carnival trick. But that wasn't her only trick - she could shapeshift!

With enough time and concentration, Yasmin can instantly transform into any creature or person, as long as she has seen one before. She can even mimic sounds and voices she has heard. Because or this, she was considered a brilliant magician in the circus. She learned several other tricks like sleight of hand and card tricks to round out her performance, but those were never as good as the show-stopping trick at the end of her show.

For her finale trick, she would always pick a random person in the crowd to be her 'assistant'. She would walk them into a tall decorated box, lock it tight, and then walk into an exact replica of the tall box on the other side of the stage by herself. She would take a few seconds to transform, pop out looking like her assistant, wave a little, pop back in, change back to her magician alter ego, and emerge to the clapping audience. She would then walk to the first box, unlock it, and let the assistant out. The audience went wild, while the poor assistant had no idea what happened.

Bubbly, and bright, Yasmin can have a way with a crowd, or a single person. If you ask her why she came to Bristle Crios...."It's to liven this place up!" Proud leader of the Metamorphosis House, Yasmin is always willing to lend a hand...."and throw a party!"

All About Metamorphosis House (Currently Eternal House)

Bright, bold colors take over Eternal House. Flamboyant colors, hand picked by wild woman Yasmin herself, define the rooms in the house. The rooms and colors never stay the same for too long. Today you may turn left at the stairs to enter the orange and green kitchen. Tomorrow when you turn left, you miss the blue and yellow kitchen on the right, and instead walk into the pink and purple bathroom. That's okay. You have to use it anyway. Did the house know that' I guess that's what you get when you live in a shapeshifting house.

The kitchen is a large self serve kitchen where you can come any time of the day or night. House staff make sure the food supplies are well-stocked. They have to since Yasmin throws a party just about every night. The large dining area is always set up as a party hall. Today may be round tables, tomorrow may be square. This is always the most happening room, where you are bound to find all the outgoing members, dancing, singing, eating.

There are many small sitting rooms and small libraries. Though tomorrow, the small libraries may be one big library. At least the bookshelves are always well marked so you don't have to look all day for the book you needed.

The bedrooms are molded to your particular taste. Share a room with a friend or loved one, or have your own private area with kitchenette, small study, and bedroom. If one night you decide to move into a larger room, don't be surprised if you wake up and your room has grown. With the rest of the house changing around you, you can at least be sure your room will stay the same, for as long as you want it to stay that way. Since all bedroom areas have their own private bathroom, you'll never have to worry about finding the ever changing public bathrooms.

Around the house is open land, with forest in the distance. Have you ever seen a man practicing turning into a dragon in a small sitting room' It's not pretty....for the room. There are a few small gardens around the house, perfect for walking and relaxing or tending, as well. Outside, there is a large lake and stream for our water-capable members to access the house.

Eternal House

A new breed of members called for a renovation. Elegant golds, deep reds, and other rich colors are the main decorative colors throughout the Eternal House, formerly known as Metamorphosis House. Victorian design is present in each of the public areas. Overstuffed chairs and warm lights in the sitting rooms welcome all for any occasion. Large rooms and smaller intimate spaces are perfect for casual meetings or cozy conversations.

The large kitchen holds about every ingredient a member could need. Pixies are ever present in the kitchen and eagerly prepare requested food all day and night, but check your sandwiches because some of the kitchen staff like to play instead of cook and may end up playing hide-and-seek under a toasted bun. There are many dining areas suited for large events or intimate dinners for two.

The great library houses all types of mythological and ancient tomes ideal for researching. The house also has a few smaller reading rooms filled with light reading and fiction books. Be sure to check the shelves if you lose your diary, because a few resident fairies believe books belong in the libraries and like to return them to their rightful place.

There are many bedrooms of varying sizes for all types of members. Every room can be modified as a member sees fit. Rooms are available up our upper floors, as well as our basement floors for members who prefer to live underground.

Behind the house, lay an expansive lake and flowing stream. Flowering gardens surround the house, as well as many vegetable gardens. Various fruit tress dot the landscaping around the house. A large enclosed herb greenhouse garden sits on a large flat area of the roof, allowing members a perfect lookout over the grounds and the other houses.

Knightfall

Origins.

They can't always be explained. Sometimes, things just are. At least from the perspective of those who shuffle along the Mortal Coil.

Like other Alluvian children, he only had one name upon his birth - though Alluvians had three in total. The first given by the parents, the second determined by career Path (as it were), and the third denoted by House. Arknight, the name taken by those on the Path of Honor, who would take vows of protection to those below them; Knightfall, among the eldest of the names from the Alluvian House of Lords, among Youngblood, Stormgaard, and D'Arcstorm - namesake of the last true Knight, Damon Arknight, before his demise.

The man the Nexus had drawn forth, the man who stands behind the Empty Throne of House Eternal, was and is an amalgamation of many men - myriad versions of himself from throughout the multiverse. All of whom had shuffled off the mortal coil, allowing the summation of their lives energies to gather at the brink of Oblivion to await the coming of the Next World - the World that May Never Come. Appearing to be a man in his mid thirties and often dressed in black and red finery, he stands a little over six feet and long dark hair often obscures thoughtful, deep green eyes. Though seldom drawn, swords often grace his form - one at his hip, and another slung across his back; Dragonfyre, the ceremonial, curved longsword at his hip, and Justiciar, the hand and a half bastard sword across his back.

With the Myriad called Justicar uniting the gestalt of his persona fused through the crucible of Oblivion's crush, he has returned once more - his Final time - to the multiverse.

The Alluvian worlds all but subsumed by Oblivion, save for one, what some may term either a 'walk in' or an 'orphan' to Rhy'din - the place he now calls home, within the welcoming sanctity of the Coven Bristle Crios, and the House Eternal.

Thus, Lord Kristoph Arknight, of House Knightfall - better known as Kristoph Knightfall.

Vas Drel

Date: 2013-01-19 00:51 EST
Well, the story had to come out sometime....

Vas was born to an altered Illithid mother. This Illithid had been altered by her deity so that she could reproduce naturally. Regardless, one day the lot of these altered Mind-Flayers were attacked by a tribe of barbarians. The barbarians proved to much, and pillaged the village so to speak.

Vas's father was the leader of the tribe, and so he was the product of a tragedy. His mother died shortly after his birth, leaving him looking for vengeance. He found and confronted his father, who beat him near to death but left him a bloody pulp in a cave. It was there Vas got his first taste of power. In that cave was a Heartstone, or Stone of the Soul. It was said to contain a piece of the Soul of the Earth itself. He took it and absorbed it's power, using it to fuel his healing and reformation of the body.

For the next few years he looked for more atrifacts and treasures, each time taking their power. But this came at a cost, as his mind shattered every time he violated these age-old treasures. The gods were not forgiving. But, after three years of this, he was ready for battle.

He found and easily destroyed his father and the tribe, absorbing their souls and feeding his own twisted powers. With all the power in the world, who could stop him' Time. Time could. He found his age deteriorating quickly, and he needed a way out. Traveling the planes, looking for anything, he stumbled upon a rift. Heading inside, he found a small stopwatch. Using his power, he absorbed the watch into himself, and found that he was no longer aging. He had beaten time!

But he still had work to do. Using the fractures in his mind, he sent out versions of himself into the various places in time and space, all of them sharing a communal pool of knowledge and memories. Eventually, the one left in the rift made a plan. He forced himself back together, nearly shattering time, although most wouldn't even feel the blow, others would find themselves to be entirely different people. He used his power to travel back to the beginning of everything. From the materials present, he recreated himself from the Void.

This new version of him attacked the old one, subsuming him and his collective experiences and memories. With a new lease on life, he figured he could only grow stronger. Of course, he only made the same mistakes again, and so now, thanks to the artifacts and ruination of several worlds, his mind is again a trainwreck.

After all this, he still stands as the Bristle Crios's Field Trip Adviser, and is happy to do it.

Eternal House Crest

The raven and crow were the perfect symbol for Eternal house. One of the earliest symbols for family crests in Denmark it means that the barer of this crest is watchful and vigilant for those closets to them. The raven is viewed as a collector of knowledge.
