Ammy sat in a comfy, cushioned chair looking out the windows and down upon the coven gardens. Golden eyes trailed over ther various flowers and plant life from her vantage point up high. She would have to thank Hunter for the room arrangement within Alchemy House. Also a formal appreciation note to all houses for taking her and her husband in, she mused.

Eyes remaining on the flowers, her mind wondered why flowers and gardens felt so vibrant to her. Nothing came to her mind. Nothing would come either since that day she found herslelf walking along the beach of Twilight Island for hours and ended up at the covens front gates. Fleet had wound up behind her an hour later and here they found rest and haven. From what, neither of them knew.

Her daughter Myrlene, her husband Moonshine, and their son, her grandson Calcifer sent a letter to her this morning from the Shimmerscale lair. They too had wandered to a safe shelter. Wandered....why' Nothing was her answer. Nothing would always be the answer.

She even posed this observation of concnern and wonder to Fleet. He simple kissed her forehead, told her to stop worrying and to enjoy the new day. A new day....golden eyes focus again from their distant stare at the minds internal landscape at the gardens. Yes, a new day for her to accept.

Ammy stood, dressed in a warm, silk kimono of lavender, a sash of deep purple wrapped around her waist. Clothed, hair flowing behind her loosely past her waist, she left her quarters to wander the halls of the Coven. To explore the area's of Bristle Crios she had a feeling she never knew.

Someone or Something trailed after the lupinossai, gathering speed rapidly but thankfully not run-like-hell speed. Well yet. No one has tried to creatively murder him for some weeks, a new record!

The mysterious figure was mainly midnight black, almost like an endless abyss of nothingness, one that someone could easily lose themselves in. A menacing whip trailed after the silhouette, stealthily hiding behind its Master, carefully watching the rear. No footsteps and little breathing, barely a gasp of gases barely escaping his throat in case if detection!

He loved this part of greeting friends.

You seem menacing, jump out and scare the Jeebies out if them! The only person he suffers major competition from is that accursed Xeno Ripper! He believed himself a wondrous friend but what?s the fun if you don't jump in on them now and then" Well there's jumping On them...

Never mind what was happening in his brain now, we're focused in the sweet, tenderising now! Leaping to her side, the figure wore that handsome, lady-killing, wolfish grin on his muzzle like a fancy medal,

"Hullo Ammy, enjoying yourself?" The voice was kind and welcoming, and totally not covering his ass for the brief jump in her! The Wolf was clad in the typical gear, though in the latest winter fashion. Which was thick and toasty.

Mmmm, Toasted Wolf.

Unfortunately for Crowe, Ammy was not in a good way for surprise greetings in the form of jumps and salutations. The sudden motion in her peripheral vision caused her to gasp, pivot and speak one command, an alchemy array flaring around her.

"Staas!" Crowe was in for a very nasty shock for a greeting and an invisible barrier.

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-02-28 01:58 EST
The Magical Defence worked rather well. His poor muzzle crunched painful against the barrier before his head slammed forward I'm the one fluid motion. Thankfully no bones were broken! Well it still hurt like hell though..

Crowe gently rubbed the muzzle, caressing the injured area with his soft paws however he managed to force a small laugh from his maw, "Nice way to greet your friends!" Being punched the face multiple times made you build some form of resistance...Still hurt like a b*tch though.

Ammy Spiritor

Ammy took a moment to breath and look at what had bounced off of her warding.

"Crowe? I'm so sorry." she said.

Walking over to him in a hurry she knelt by the Wolfen and looked at his muzzle.

"Are you going to be okay' I didn't mean to react, been very jumpy the last few days since getting here."

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-02-28 17:27 EST
Well here came that serving of adrenaline with his painful meal. His paw firmly grasped the muzzle, and in one rapid movement, Crack! Jobs done! Paws clapped together, the only visible fur sprouting from the long sleeved shirt, whilst a hearty laugh flew out,

"Never better Ammy, especially to see your pretty face in our Home!"A sneaky smirk escaped his will, before the wolf moved in for the kill! Pouncing forward towards the defenceless lupe, arms curled round for the slim body of Ammy, ready to squeeze her gently,

"How are you then" Enjoying our little sanctuary?"

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-02-28 21:58 EST
She wasn't ready for the sudden spring and hug, but she didn't offer resistance or a fight either. Ammy let Crowe hug her. He seemed to be a presence she should know, someone safe. She didn't respond right away to his questions. Her mind pulled together the unraveled threads of memories to patch together some semblance of camaraderie with Crowe.

Memories of the few Bristle Crios Academy balls surfaced. Memories of a few talks they had. Memories of him having her back a few times cemented the patch into place and she spoke finally.

"I'm okay . . . I think?" Ammy said. "Fleet and I have just gotten moved into the coven a day or two ago and still adjusting. How are you and . . . Eclipse?" She asked.

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-01 02:41 EST
He remembered that Ball, those talks and aids from him very vividly. One does not forget someone like Ammy that easily. Though Ammy seemed oddly confused, as if she was struggling with something...This had the wolf in protective mode!

"We are fine, just preparing for the storm, thank you Ammy," he released her from his embrace, "Are you sure Ammy' You're...Acting a tad strange today," soft, midnight fur stroked her thin fur whilst dark, invading chocolate eyes peered round her face to inspect her for damage.

What happened to her?!

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-02 01:01 EST
Hearing his question Ammy turned away from him and walked down the hall a little ways not sure how to answer. How do you answer a question like that when you're asking the same question' Riddle me this, riddle me that.

"I honestly don't know Crowe. Things are different, odd, strange. I had to remember who you were for a few minutes. I've had to remember who a few people were in the Coven and the Academy even. Things are . . . such a blur since the day, the day I was just walking along the beach."

She looked over her should at him, red hair spilled down to cover her face a little.

"Fleet found me I think, or I found him. I don't remember exactly. We kept walking, and walking. I swear we passed a section that felt familiar on that beach but nothing was there. Just sand, water, seashells and the wind."

Ammy looked back and gazed at a hanging picture on the wall. Thoughts failed to come to her call. Memories eroded away like sand under the sway of a wave.

"Blank. Patches of pure, black blankness." she said.

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-02 06:26 EST
Paws roamed his muzzle as his brain processor the words of Ammy carefully, eyes gazed back, fingers playing with his dark fur. Amnesia" How" Someone could have done it...But they'd need to be very strong or a powerful magical user...Or someone she trusts.

"Ammy..." he came to get like a gentle, dark tide, hands on her slender shoulders, "You don't remember anything from the beach' Just darkness?" A huff of air escaped and breezed along her neck. Could...Could it be just her" She just forgot" She had faced a horrific past, seen and done horrendous things in her long lifespan but who hasn't in Rhydin"

The Wolf glanced to the painting, he had seen it before on his varied travels. An image of a golden beach, shimmering blue waves desperately moving for the land, frothing like a mad hound as the glowing rays of the setting sun cast a vibrant orange gleam on the beachhead.

"Could you guess how?"

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-03 17:29 EST
She watched the beach seen frozen in time forever on canvas.

"I don't even know how to guess at it Crowe. I was walking the beach, lost, trying to find something. What I don't remember. Fleet found me. He found me, and he looked just as lost as well, he felt familiar but different. Strange. Like his form was something else or should have been something else."

Ammy turned and looked at Crowe now with golden eyes that just held a blank stare and a glimmer in them of trying to remember anything.

"Nothing comes to me. I know my name. Some people I know when they talk to me. Some things I seem to know but I don't know how I know them, I just feel completely blank in so many areas of my mind."

Her hands came together, fingers locking tightly. She paced lightly.

"A letter arrived this morning from Lene. Her and her family are with Icer and her lair. They were found wander the Glen lost as well. So I don't really know what has happened Crowe. I really don't and I'm afraid when something affects my only child and her family."

Crowe Thorne

Smooth chocolate circles gazed back at her, a comforting smile in his muzzle before he leaned down to plant a gentle kiss on her fuzzy head,

"I will help you Ammy, being back some fun memories we've had," his gentle hands rubbed her shoulders, trying to melt away the strain and discomfort she felt.

A cheerful, pleasant chuckle came from his maw, "Remember the Ball Ammy, where we had fun together and how I ended up in the middle of the Ice Rink?" Memories, they were treasures themselves, "Or when you helped extend my short life, risked your own life for a lowly wolf...You even got Mai and Art married."

Was this a debt he had to pay' He owed many favours and debts to countless people over his time here and maybe now was the time. Ammy needed help and he will be the closest friend to help her in this dire time,

"Your family will be safe, I promise, like you guard my brother's family, I will repay the favour personally, if there is trouble, then call me." Grinning playfully at her, offering a toasty nuzzle to her head.

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-04 23:40 EST
Ammy accepted that nuzzle from Crowe to her forehead.

"What if the memories I lost weren't happy Crowe. What then?"

She looked into his chocolate brown eyes.

"Was I someone special before" I don't feel special. Just very tired."

She let go of Crowe and walked the hall again slowly so he could keep up with her.

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-05 02:40 EST
Easily chasing up to Ammy, he beamed sweetly down at her despite what he saw in her saddening gaze,

"You are someone special Ammy, you're special to me, Art, Fleety, everyone," a paw firmly slapped her back, not powerfully at all, "If they were unhappy memories then you forget them, you no need to remain in the past Ammy."

Never mention the Den. Never mention the Knight. Never mention her brother for these will surely be too much. Confused and tired added on with great strain of her past will obviously be too much. Though he an mention one thing.

Stretching out from corner of his mouth, his lips moved up for a smirk, his body leaning closer to Ammy do he could whisper, "Raven....That's why I will help you Ammy, remember that."

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-05 17:49 EST
Ammy slowed a little bit in her walk hearing that name mentioned.

Raven. Raven. Raven" It felt like a name she would know but why"

Her eyes looked at Crowe and they held a penetrating gaze from the past perhaps. A sharp focus as she tried her best to remember what that name could mean to her or to him. A trickle of blood ran from a nostril for her effort and she stopped her stare.

A handkerchief was taken up and the blood daubbed away until it stopped. She tucked it away in her kimono and kept her head bowed.

"I don't know what that name is supposed to mean Crowe. I wish I did. Perhaps in time." She said.

She continued walking with Crowe, her goal was to mingle with more members of the coven and to feel a bit more welcome.

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-06 02:46 EST
Those eyes. They still possessed that Golden magic of hers; somewhere in there the past was dormant and ready to burst out.

But the nosebleed was a unique sight for him, gazing around the daubed nostrils as a leathery nose of himself sniffed and twitched excitedly at the scent of fresh blood. Never seen Ammy bleed without a fight.

"You ok Ammy?" She looked fine, just confused, and that was with one word, "And you will Ammy, in time," eyes scanned the halls of Alchemy House, searching for a familiar face, "What will you do now Ammy' Stay here?"

The Storm outside was beginning to brew threateningly, the clouds darkening whilst snow began to gravefully float to the floor. Little sunshine lit up the near-empty halls as a chilly breeze slapped itself against the window, begging to come in.

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-06 11:21 EST
"I'm fine Crowe. Just a nose bleed, think it happens when I try to focus too hard on things. I'll be okay." She said.

Nearing a window Ammy stepped to it and looked outside. The storm was indeed coming in fast. Something turbulent, changing, covering and promising to smother, insulate and make a world go dormant for a few days.

Her golden eyes watched it, the mini scale of the internal storm she had now that was smothering, masking, insulating and blanking out what she knew or could recall. One day she wouldn't be dormant under snow anymore. One day.

Crowe's question finally caught up with her slurried mind.

"Yes. Fleet and I will be staying here at the Coven. I mean, what else do I have to go back to' My only daughter is with her husband at Icers, my only kin, Mako died millenia ago in the wars in Humara, and it seemed I walked those beaches on Twilight Island for days. I have no home."

Curious indeed were here memories now and statements.

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-06 12:37 EST
Mako' Dead" He knew her brother briefly, the one that was racist to his and Lupe kind, one that was on the brink of murdering someone and to mate with his own Sister. He had heard that Mako was reformed somehow, and that he was just her brother once more. Like Drake. Though less cowardly and shorter too.

Were Humarans always so short"

He'll just leave the question for later, she'll obviously say he's dead, Crowe will try once more then give up and see that it's pointless.

"Well make yourself at home, I sleep here occasioanlly on busy days so if it's my home it's yours too my dear! Ever need me you give me a call ok? You're my friend so don't make me worry for you."

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-07 00:40 EST
"Okay Crowe, I'll give you a call sometime if the need arises."

She left the window and kept walking with him for a while. Something played with her mind.

"Potions . . . Something about potions. Teaching . . . Or was it selling them?"

She slowed in confusion. Her eyes lifted to Crowe and she could smell something on him, no in him and infused with him. It felt familiar to her. She just stared at him for a long moment. Smells old and young?"

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-07 02:41 EST
Before he could manage to push the words of options from his maw, how she owned a potion store and how she was one of the greatest alchemist he knew. However he didn't know many....That Ammy was just gazing at him, as if he had descended from the heavens and was kind enough to wave to her,

"Ammy..." Something wrong?" A worried gaze collided with her golden pools and he held the force of the fixated stares whilst slowly approaching Ammy. Why was she looking at him like that' Was there so something on his face?!

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-09 17:16 EST
"You have the scent and aura of . . . someone old and new at the same time. I don't know how to explain it. Like someone living with extended life and I feel I've touched you in someway to make that happen."

Ammy stepped a few steps further away from Crowe and just stared at him in wonder and confusion.

So much I am finding bit by bit has had my hand in it. But why"

"I'm beginning to wonder if this loss of who I am has been a gift somehow." she said and looked to the floor to study the patterns on it.

"I am an alchemist right?"

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-09 18:11 EST
Crowe took some steps further, till he was just a yard away and with a paw, he stretched it out to gently grasp her own and hoist it up,

"Ammy...You helped me greatly, you gave me a longer life so I can enjoy the great, beautiful things in life," don't you dare say it!, that annoying buzz in his skull, knocking at his brain. Falling off the tounge like a cumbersome weight, a stretched sigh dropped out from his maw,

"Yes, and one of the finest, greatest alchemists I know, you own a shop and your alchemy is what gave me life," Can't you see it Crowe! She's lost her memory, she. Won't. Remember.

"I need to confess a secret, one you may have forgotten Ammy Spiritor." You'll ruin everything!.

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-11 01:31 EST
Ammy looked at Crowe bewildered.

"Okay. What's the secret' If it's a confession, I'm not a saint or a pope or someone that can give blessings you know." She said.

Her attempt at keeping a bit of humor thrown in was a patch on her own nervous feelings about who or what she used to be. That other person that was on the other side of the black veil in her mind.

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-11 03:30 EST
The wolf had to snicker amusingly at that. The funny thing was that she was a Saint, one for her Gods whilst she could give you a blessing, just like Art and Mai.

But he lost that jovial smile, suddenly drawing close enough to Ammy so that he could lean his head beside hers, his breathing brushing against the fur on her neck, warm and heavy.

He told her. Everything that happened at their last meeting before this, he told her. No regret for how this would affect her. He hates having secrets, the longer you hold onto them, the bigger they become and the greater the impact they can have.

Soon he broke away from her ear, nodding solemnly before he glanced to the window, watching the snow and wind roll together into one deadly mixture,

"I hope you understand Ammy."

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-12 11:25 EST
Listening to what he had told, Ammy's mind slowed to a stop. When he left stopped talking and left his close lean on her she turned to look at him. She almost couldn't believe what he had told her.

Did I really do that' Really mean that much to him' Who or what the hell kind of a woman am I"

Her golden eyes said things plainly with their deer in the headlight look. Memories flickered here or there like camera flashes in the dark. Some holding, some fading, all a dance of confusion and a bit of heartbreak at what she was learning. Her shoulders sagged just a bit as something cold touched her heart.

"Crowe . . . " she was at a loss of words, a tear slipping from one eye golden eye. Was she really that cruel to people and their feelings"

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-12 12:48 EST
He could see the confusion. The pain. He could swear he could hear the little strings of her heart tear asunder. Just the same as him. Should he have told her" Answer that later...You just got to bite the bullet or you ask What if" for the rest of eternity.

"Ammy..." meeting her level, he reached a paw out to stroke the tear off her cheek, offering a sad smile to comfort her, "I...It was painful to see you like this at first...And I feel I've ruined everything now."

His other paw slowly moved to settle on her chest, just where the heart was, as if he could sense the cold that swept over her heart. Two large orbs of darkness directly opposite her glorious golden eyes

"Do not be sad, you've always been good to me, never a bad person, and you've always been careful of another's feelings...I never meant to hurt you now," his muzzle was inches away from hers, twitching often as he fought the painful urge.

Did he really cause her all this pain from those words?

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-12 15:19 EST
She pulled away from him, trying to think.

Hell with that, how do you think when you're compared, viewed, told you're someone else?

Hand slipping to her head as a throbbing pain was starting from the strain of trying to remember things just have them gone, vanish like smoke. Blood dribbled from her nose again steady this time. Ammy backed away further from him and jerked to a stop when her back touched a wall. She leaned against the comforting, unmoving weight.

Head bowed, fingers rubbing her temples, eyes squeezed shut, to breathe was all she could do.

"I . . . don't understand why I'd do something like that Crowe" So happily married to Fleet for over 17 years, we watched Lene grow up and watched her get married. I mean . . ." she looked at him and raised a furred hand and made a fist and bit softly into the fist to ease the stress.

"How . . . could I be so flirtatious" So . . . unfaithful to Fleet' Please tell me this other me isn't . . . a whore as well?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-12 16:22 EST
Face flashed in the blink of an eye to anger and annoyance as his Ammy broke away from his comforting pleads. And just as soon a soft, sad smile spread across and he shook his head slowly. One step closer to Ammy now.

"Ammy Spiritor you are no common Floozy!" Fists clenched at the disgusting thought of her...like that.

"And don't you think I feel exactly the same! I love my wife just as much, I have kids but...Something sparked, like a reaction and that was when...when..." Eyes suddenly flared open into two horror-stricken portals. No...It, just a coincidence. Right?

"When at the ball, me and you met...Using a human form that both of us were unused to...We both were different...And whenever we met as humans, it continued...Like a.."

A low, frustrated growl broke loose fom his clenched jaw before he suddenly cut himself silent. Arkward moments passed before a voice, barely a murmure, came out,

"Like a separate life, two sides of the coin, day and night, ying and yang! You even said it before all this, that we both acted unusual as humans!" Every word of the two sentences grew louder, not to a threatening point but to where someone has almost discovered the jigsaw puzzle.

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-12 21:50 EST
She opened her eyes as he talked. The warm dribble of blood had her hands in pockets, the handkerchief found and pressed against her brown nose. What Crowe was saying sounded familiar, strange as that was, but how could that be?

I haven't been human since . . . since . . . I can't remember if I ever was human' Haven't I always been a Lupinossai" Orphaned survivor after brother finally died in the many wars around the old days"

She was staring at Crowe for a long moment, something pregnant in the air waiting to be spoken.

"But Crowe, I've never been human' I've never changed into a human. I know some crude alchemy, and can mix some potions here and there, but your talking like I'm some . . . arch magus."

Dizziness was starting to creep in on her. She needed to sit somewhere and she was thirsty.

"Could we go find a seat and a drink?"

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-13 03:31 EST
She didn't remember. But she's trying. His leathery, black nose was tickled by the sweet scent of her blood a d he had to shake his head from his trance,

"Yes...Fine, we find a seat and a drink...My office if you wish' I keep a selection of drinks on hand," He held out his paw in a friendly fashion, a warm, soothing smile on his lips as he hoped to sway her.

Arch Magus? Hah! That'd be an insult to the old' Ammy, and she knew more than this crude alchemy! Fashioning wondrous potions and devices, and when she wasn't she was always on the frying pan or the roaring flames. But he was always there to help her.

Eventually realising the cool sensation of a salty test dribbling down his cheek, he used his other paw to quickly swipe it away and await Ammy.

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-13 10:50 EST
The way Crowe kept baiting her, asking her things and now offering his office should have had her on guard were she her old self. The warning signs, there in her mind but muted in the black mists, failed to tell her that she was drifting far off course if she took his offer to go to his office.

Crowe was safe, yes? There were friends, colleagues even right' Sure he's told her a few odd things about them being around each other, but that seemed hazy and not quite right. Dizziness still a pressence, Ammy nodded her acceptance of his offer.

"I'll walk with you to your office, Crowe. Just too much going on, and the storm going on has me out of sorts."

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-13 11:26 EST
"Well I have warmth, seats and anything else you need for comfort Miss Spiritor, the finest for you? the voice took on a different sound, soothing and enticing, like soft silk to the flesh and mind.

Drawing the prey in to the wolf's lair. This wasn't Crowe, was it' He didn't go and act like this with dear friends and colleagues. Something was definitely up with the wolf.

He carefully took her hand and began to escort her away, towards his office and at quite a pace, pads of his feet tapping against the chilly, wooden floor. Admiring the paintings that floated by like some hazy dream, commenting on some idly to Ammy before they eventually would reach the door, the words:

Wolf House Leader- Crowe Thorne.

Etched onto the woodwork professionally once he was assigned the job, fine, strong oak for a solid defence. Always be protected and expect the worst.

Reaching out to twist the handle, the faint creak of the knob turning till a sharp click and the door flung open to reveal his office. Dark green was carefully painted along the walls, beautiful paintings of forests and wolves hanging from the walls as light shon in perfectly to send the room glowing emerald-green.

His desk stood by the large windows at the back, now neat and tidy and lacking the foul stench of alcohol and days of sleeping there,

"Ladies first Miss Spiritor," holding the door politely open for the lupe, beaming sweetly at her.

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-13 14:52 EST
The sight of the interior of Crowes office was enough to make Ammy forget their prior conversation for the moment. It was warm and inviting with those painted forests offering a sheltered world from the rest of life. She stepped inside his office, looked around a bit with a small smile on her muzzle, the dizziness faded for the time. The window drew her attention again, her furred feet moved to it of their own will.

Windows. I am always drawn to windows. The way they let you look into the world from safety. Did I used to gaze out of them so often?

She would stand there and watch as the world was now painted white with snow and blizzard, a mythical wolf peering from a fake forest into a world of the unknown. She leaned against the window sill, lost for the moment in wintery savagery outside, an echo of her former regalness and beauty caught in that pose where fatigue and care had slipped it's mask for just a second.

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-13 19:01 EST
Just watching her. How she changed, her mood and actions, and how the sudden warmth of her beautiful, peaceful sight struck his heart strongly. The wolf had to draw mighty breaths of air to focus his mind, eyes scanning her figure.

His paws silently stepped across the fuzzy, brown carpet, like he was strolling through some artificial forest, false images of trees and the concentrated rays of sunlight beaming in. It gave him a homely feel, whenever he was sad or afraid he just returned to his office and would rest, for moments, hours. Even days.

The black furred feet stopped their movement before he could crash into Ammy, unwilling to disturb her peace so suddenly. Chocolate pools followed the graceful dance of wind and snow, seeing them engulf the land in a thick, sleepy blanket. One that you could just watch forever, forever sucking you into a soothing world of tranquility.

Unknowing to the wolf, as if purely by instinct, he leaned gently into the back of Ammy. Two arms curling round her curvy, teasing waist, resting on her abdomen whilst a gentle kiss was placed upon her head as carefully as a crown.

Why this urge? Was it truly this love he felt struck against his heart like a piercing blade. Ammy was like an Angel to him. She was an Angel.

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-14 00:45 EST
The wintry landscape had calmed her mind, blanketed the upset turmoil Crowe had raked up with his questions and revelations. She could almost, almost relax in this room with another man who had just told her that he had feelings for her, evidently for a second time.

Then he had to come up behind her and put those arms around her waist. That was a motion and feel her mind could only tie to Fleet over the years. A comfort only he gave to her, and Crowe just stepped into that sacred place. Her mind was jarred from its stability and the calm wintry landscape crumbled into jagged ice shards in her mind.

The kiss to the head, while harmless in appearance to most did nothing but escalate her tumult. Only Fleet ever kissed her. She felt like she should do something, be angry at him, feel power flow into her and just rend him into little pieces with . . . what? What would she have done" What would have the other her done" She didn't know, the mind was blank as two what she could do. She did make him sit on the ground with a single word" Is that what she could do"

The confines of Crowes embrace made her heart hammer hard in her chest as her mind tried to puzzle out something she had no pieces for. Sensei's words came to her mind.

When held behind, step back between legs, back kick, rock head back, elbow to gut, strike wrists, run.

Karate training kicked in, took over her frayed senses and she followed Sensei's mental instructions to a T. If Crowe held onto her for long, he was going to be hurting in several areas while she attempted to break free and run. If he let go after her first strike, she would run for the door and be gone down the halls. Either path, that office door and the halls were her goal now.

Crowe Thorne

A small grunt rose up from the wolf, the delivery and sudden suprise of Ammy's kick back stunning him whilst he pushed off her and almost toppled over his desk. What the hell? Did Ammy just...Attack him'

The wolf's two eyes just bore into Ammy for a brief moment, a sadness you could only describe as kicking a puppy. Then gazed down at himself, head sunken into the chest as the knees drew up to his head, curling into a large ball to contain his shame and idoicy.

He desperately hid the salty tears that stained his cheek, biting hard on his tounge before mumbling to Ammy, voice croaky and defeated,

"I'm sorry....So sorry...Just, just leave me please."

Ammy Spiritor

Date: 2013-03-14 21:18 EST
The croaked words stopped her in her tracks, hand on the door knob. How did she get to the door, and why did Crowe sound in pain" She glanced back to him, perhaps a mistake with freedom beyond that oak barrier. She'd hurt him. She had hurt him"

Mind said run, heart said sympathy, the body was locked in stasis unsure who to listen to. The heart, always the heart with her it seemed, won the battle. The door was left alone as she walked back to Crowe, a calm gaze on him as she sought her memories for any time she'd ever caused him actual pain"

Black mist, always black mist. He'd told her that she'd caused him pain with words, now she'd come full circle and caused him pain with paw. She knelt by the curled up Crowe and placed a hand upon his shoulder.

"Crowe . . . I didn't mean to attack you. I don't know what got into my head. One moment, peace, the next I felt . . ." could she tell him what she felt at that moment when she lost her control" She needed to talk to Sensei soon about this.

"Felt that by mistake you were taking my husbands place. My reactions were not kind. I am sorry."

For a woman her size and build she somehow managed to take him up into a hug wishing she could apologize more. Apologies, that was something that felt like it rang true in her somehow. Perhaps some things carried over no matter what else didn't.

Crowe uncurled himself, wrapping his arms in return to Ammy's hug, gentle arms squeezing her as his muzzle was buried in her shoulder. Long, cumbersome breathes dropped from his maw, the scent of his friend filling his airways.

Why' Why am I doing this? I...love her, but I shouldn't. We're both married to different people damn it! Eclipse...I love you and the pups.

The Black Wolf tilted his head back to gaze up at Ammy, the stain of blood spread round her nostrils but he couldn't help but gaze upon her face. One paw touched her cheek, stroking it whilst he averted his head, leaning onto her shoulder,

"It shoul be me whose sorry...I never wanted to replace your love for your husband...I still love you Ammy Spiritor and every time I see your beautiful face, it hurts," a soft, annoyed groan, "I hurts to know that we can never be one, for we both love another too...I'm sorry," a soft chuckle,"You didn't break anything thankfully."

Ammy had to give a small laugh hearing him say that.

"No, no. I suppose I didn't. I feel somehow that there is little to break on you." She would help him up and give him another long hug that was free of any deep emotions. A supporting hug, one friend to another.

"I do like your office Crowe. Tell me about your kids. Must be nice having more than just one. I've been feeling a bit empty nestish since Lene left . . . left . . . since she married Moonshine over 2 years."

She let him go and moved around the office to take in the painted forest. Her mind seeming to slip from the recent incident of near neutering of Crowe like a paper boat sucked down a storm drain.

Crowe Thorne

This was good...Not as awkward and she wasn't trying to neuter him for trying it on with her...

Something pulsed in his chest, sorry, on his chest, itching and scratching at his flesh as if it tried to reach inside him, the faint, almost inaudible voice of,

You imbecile, you stupid wolf, let me out now!

Ears twitched briefly at the odd buzz in his ear before shrugging innocently, and smiling to Ammy, "The pups are growing fast, with my specie's life-rate and Lycan blood, they're already at the age of possibly two, they speak and act like actual children now!"

A small chuckle whilst fingers toyed with the fur on his muzzle, the other paw idly getting rid of the annoying itch on his chest, moving his necklace out of the way, sneakily concealed underneath his shirt,

"Empty' You miss having your pup around" Feeling old now hmmm?" Teasingly winking at the lupe, a gentle pat to her shoulder, "Though you look divine as always!"

Good wolf. Again with that small buzz in his ears, a flicker of a shake there before another shrug. Was he hearing voices again? Not the first time.

"Maybe I am feeling a little old Crowe. You're blood causes rapid aging. I wonder . . . Is that why I helped you . . . with the potion thing?" she said.

She leaned against that window sill again and looked out at the blizzard. "How long have you and Eclipse been together" I mean you two must be very happy together right?"

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-17 19:01 EST
"Yes Ammy, you were a kind friend that made sacrifices for another, I still owe you big time for that," a small, comforted smile at the lupe, two eyes focused on her watching form.

His throat throbbed sadly at the mention of Eclipse, the wolf's mind puzzled at why he would do hastily cheat his love. That's not him!

But that's me.

Again with that buzz! He needed to check his hearing soon if this continues, and his heart is aching so painfully, just seeing her stabs his heart like a pin. What's wrong with him"

He managed to answer the curious question, "Almost a year, we are happy but..." his eyelids clenched round his eyeballs, that annoying buzz growing louder and the buzz turned to faint, in audible words,

LETMEOUT! ILOVEHERYOUSTUPIDWOLF!

A finger rattled round in his ear before the fearsome buzzing ceased, and he continued, "And life has been simple and happy, just growing our family," Crowe gazed to Ammy, moving up to her, placing only a friendly paw on her shoulder, "And how are you and Fleety?"

Ammy Spiritor

She looked at that paw on her arm for a moment and responded.

"Fleet and I are doing well. He amazes me every day with his deep love for me. I am glad to hear you and Eclipse are doing so well together."

Golden eyes noticed the difficulty he was having. The stress in his eyes and she sensed an odd behavior in him somehow. She stepped up to him and put a hand on his cheek to look at his eyes.

"Crowe, are you okay?"

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-18 18:33 EST
Crowe suddenly grasped her paw, nodding slowly as a smile formed on his lips, eyes briefly meeting hers before he slid them elsewhere, frowning,

"Y-Yes...I think...Just need a break, and with you...And me...I feel so worn out, so drained of everything, and I'm getting this odd migraine too," the chest tingling reached a new peak of annoyance, as if someone's claws were tearing into him ever so carefully and slowly.

He needed some alcohol in his system now.

Ammy Spiritor

"Migraine" I have a . . ." a phrase, one simple phrase that seemed so familiar was on her tongue and it died.

She had a what? A white furred hand reached up and gently touched one of Crowes temples.

"If you rub at the templar nerve clusters . . ." the other hand moved to the base of his neck. "and where the neck and skull meets, you can often head off migraines." her fingers worked swift and firmly.

"Crowe, you seem to feel . . . how to say this . . . strained at two ends?" her hand landed on his chest above his heart. "Struggling with something. Is there something more than . . . just the want of me being denied to you that is bothering you?"

Crowe Thorne

"Ammy...I..." he quickly silenced his foolish tounge, the same, irritating buzzing almost hidden in the white noise of life.

IloveherIloveherIloveher.

Small grunts and groans as her swift movements round his body, enjoying the delightful pressure on the sensitive points, but when that white-furred paw reached his chest, legs felt close to trembling and eyes gazed sadly to the Lupe,

"I...Ammy, I just need a drink, I haven't had one all day and," the buzzing was near hysterical, flashes of vibrant colours before him. Her hand...It was touching the amulet, hidden under his shirt. The buzzing was just a frantic mess of gargled nonsense to the wolf's ears.

Clearing out an ear briefly, he returned to Ammy and gave a sad smile, "Being denied you...That does bother me, yet I know it shouldn't," a anxious sigh from his throat, "Could you, get me a drink please? I keep my booze in the fridge over there, and help yourself too."

Ammy felt something hard under his shirt, over that chest of his. She didn't ask what it was as his words triggered memories to her mind. They came of their own will, no effort on her part, no blood or pain paid for the cost.

She was on the floor at home. Lupis she smelled of alcohol. Was she laying in vomit' Who was that over her" Fleet. He wasn't happy. Words, words from his muzzle were burning into her mind and heart as well as a heated gaze from his eyes. Those words.

"No Crowe." she said. Her voice was soft and defiant. "I will not get you a drink."

Ammy started to push him back, towards a chair, away from the fridge.

"Drinking never solves a thing. It never solves anything." She looked into his eyes, her golden eyes burning brightly with the old Ammy for a bit.

"I climbed into a bottle once and almost lost my only daughter, Crowe. Do you want to lose your kids" Lose your mate, Eclipse" Drinking to ease away pain was never a Crowe I could remember." She said. Her voice held sorrow.

"What has happened to you? Can you tell me" This is more than me batting aside your heart Crowe. Please, am I still enough of a friend to earn some trust?"

Crowe grunted at her halting him from the sweet, attractive aroma of alcohol teasing him from the fridge, quickly adjusting himself so that she would not push him back, not from what he wanted, no, desired.

The Lupe is back to her old self, brilliant.

Crowe gave her a pained expression, one of sorrow as he thought of the pain he could give to his family through the bottle, "I'm sorry....I just need it Ammy, I..." but...Something stirred, the buzzing grow further, drowning out the surroundings, her voice and his actions. Till....

"I ain't Crowe love," hand was firmly grasped by a paw, not violently, "Call me Raven sweetie," a soft chuckle, those shy, nervous eyes of Crowe replaced by some other intelligent entity, as a hand moved to stroke her cheek affectionately. Raven was still in the wolf's body, not yet mastered the art of complete control. Yet.

There was that name again. Raven" Who the hell was Rave" Golden eyes dimmed as the black mistst robbed her of that brief respist of clarity. The firm grip of his huge paw on her wrist had her mind switching gears and for a moment she almost knew what to do.

A flicker in the dark, an array began to glow, guttered and died as those eyes, eyes not like Crowes but like some predators were staring at her, strangling out the thought with a bit of . . . dear god, was this fear in her?

"I . . . don't know a Raven. Let me speak with Crowe." she asked.

She almost flinched as he stroked her cheek. Crowe felt wrong, like he was a coat for someone else. Flickers of other memories were surfacing, one not pleasant of another male, a strong male, a mage that had her cornered once and her fur began to stand on end.

Eyebrows furrowed by a fraction as he absorbed her cute reactions and words, the paw slowly creeping up to have his fingers run down her crimson mane till it reached the base of the skull. Raven would attempt to slide his body forward, the breath warm and heavy to her neck,

"Don't you recognise me Ammy' You should remember me," a soft snicker of amusement, eyes constantly meeting hers as another set of fingers curled round her waist, "Now let me remind you sweet Ammy."

The predator stirred, suddenly pressing his body to Ammy as the paw on her neck would have been able to thrust her forward. He was going to kiss her.

His reactions were swift. Too swift for her to comprehend. Perhaps a scream, a jab, a kick, even a bite may have set her free but he had her crushed up against him. It was hard to scream when your mouth was muzzled by anothers mouth.

That trickle of fear she felt when he had looked into her eyes, that Raven personality, bloomed into full terror. She was alone, in his office and her mind left her in dark mist with nothing to use. A muffled whimper slipped from her muzzle. All she wanted to do was shrink, cower and hide. This all felt wrong, she felt as if something would have been different had she been someone else.

Where was that someone else? Laughing in the mists" Sleeping" Lost' Dead"

Someone help me, please. was all her mind could form.

Fleet had gotten used to the Coven grounds some while the blizzard raged on. He was getting better at navigating them and was now wondering where his wife had gone. Asking a few of the Coven residents, no one had seen her.

He decided to trust his own instincts and something even keener. His nose. Fleet began to scent out and track where Ammy had gone.

Crowe Thorne

Raven took delight in the unique taste of Ammy, almost feelings the tingle of power she held so tightly under that black mist of hers, the one that hid the true Ammy from his prying grasps. His long slippery tongue overpowered and dominated the cowering's Ammy's oral cavity, a wicked smile spreading across his muzzle.

He could take her now, have his way, feel what he has been so desperate to feel for so long, being trapped in that damn amulet. His paws tightened round her waists, his eyes shut tightly as he left the kiss linger for some moments longer before he slowly broke off. A soft sigh escaped his maw, almost regretful, until he spoke,

"Don't worry love, I'm not going to take you, or mate you as this imbecile would say, though he doesn't have the smarts to enjoy a woman as delicious as yourself," He gave her a final nip to her neck, hands gently touching her back, never going over the limit, "You can go, but tell no one of this, or I will be angry, and Crowe...He will suffer, now run along love."

He slipped out of the grip, extending a hand for the door, where the force would let it slide open for her to take her leave. The wolf, Raven, just stood there, smiling ever politely and giving a final bow, "It has been a pleasure Ms Spiritor, I hope to meet you once more."

Ammy fell backwards when she was released and sat on the floor, golden eyes just stared up at him and they shrunk in fear. Did she dare move" She saw the door wide open now and a welcome escape, but that violation of a kiss had her rooted to the floor in terror forgetting about what she was capable of doing physically or magically if remembered.

Ammy scooted back away from Crowe like a beaten animal. Crowe or was it Raven now" Lines had been crossed deeply now with her heart and her mind worked on regaining ground. Shattered ground. Her back met his desk and she just stayed there on the floor, drew up her kneews and froze in place.

Raven got what he wanted. Prey, frozen, backed into a corner and now wishing to hide.

Fleetwolf

Fleet had followed the scents of Ammy down several halls and into the quarters of Lycan House where he also picked up Crowes scent. The two, from what he could tell were walking together. This fact had Fleet curious after a hearthside confession from Ammy.

They could be just catching up on things. Reaquanting, swapping stories. Don't scent giants where only corgi's exist.

He picked up his speed as he followed the scents. He felt odd as he moved along the halls, as if there should have been a link he and Ammy shared. But nothing was there. Just a quiet murmur of peace and happiness. That feeling sparked worry in Fleet. Ammy had been anything but happy the last day or two.

His cloak of dark red flowed past him as he neared the office of the Lycan House's leader. He could smell Ammy and Crowe inside. Odd that the door was wide open. Fleet stepped into the doorway and looked at the scene before him. Crimson eyes glowing took in the sights with detailed study and time slowed for a year to him, seconds to others.

His ears twitched once.

Crowe Thorne

Raven just smiled. Smiling. That's all he could do. This was too easy, way too easy. And was he terribly surprised by the sudden appearance of Fleety, her supposed husband, lover and friend...He's not worth to hold a prize as gracious as Ammy. He had already suspected this from the foul stench of this worthless male. Crowe had one good use he could confess.

"Thank god you're here Fleety! We were just talking and...And she just collapsed and has been frozen for some time now!" This was the sound of Crowe now was it' Sounded like him, though...How" Why' Where was Raven" Plotting"

He was just a good actor, that's all.

"She just came with me to my office and..Well, she kissed me Fleety, she told me she loved me, then just collapsed...I'm so sorry," he dabbed his eyes with the fur of his forearm, playing the innocent wolf perfectly, well perhaps too much, "It must be the memory loss, it could be worse than I thought!"

Hopefully the trick will work, if not, there's always the window to leap through or to run his gut through with a blade, perhaps the knife he had under the cloak"

Fleetwolf

Fleet shifted his weight slightly as he stood in the doorway. That studied gaze vanished now. Several mistakes had been made with Fleet. He took four steps into the forest painted office leaving enough room for Ammy to escape.

"Ammy, loovaa oomaas i'ina waat u'utsi'i. Oom moosa yom." He said. With those words he instilled the Alpha power, the right of any alpha Lupinossai in a mating pair or pack.

Ammy looked up from frozen cower to Fleet. The words, infused with the power of the Alpha melted the cold fear she felt. Ammy stood and sprinted behind Fleet and out the door. She didn't stop until she found a bench to collapse into three halls down, and curled up into a ball to cry.

With Ammy out of the room, Fleet took two more steps in, and hooked the oak door with a furred foot and slammed it shut.

"Yom baastri'i, yom vaa mu'udraa." He said.

He filled the room with his presence, the scent of ozone filling the closed space. Crimson eyes glowed past his half moon glasses at Crowe, sensing what Ammy couldn't. Something sickening or foul under the wolfen's hide. He switched back to common.

"You shouldn't have lied to me." he raised a furred hand and clenched it into a fist, warping the window casings shut.

"Now, let's have a conversation."

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-21 03:55 EST
Raven just chuckled at the obviously-pissed off Fleety, his smile wide and playful, as if he took this for a simple game. A furry paw went up to stroke the midnight-black fur of the wolf's ugly body, a look of distaste on Raven's face, "Yes, let's talk Mr Spiritor." The wolf's head shook it slowly as he watched the sweet, honey-furred Ammy dash away from her love, "You have a beautiful mate Mr Spiritor."

Raven quickly adjusted himself, drawing a bottle of vodka and two glasses from the desk's cabinet alongside two shot glasses. These were settled delicately on the desktop, the cork torn off with a canine and spat out before he began to pour the mouth-watering molten silver liquid into each glass,

"A drink Mr Spiritor" Man to Man?"

He was that sickening or foul, he just simply enjoyed life did Raven, especially how little he is able to enjoy it and instead endure boring, maddening darkness for so long. He wanted freedom. He wanted to love.

Fleetwolf

Date: 2013-03-21 13:52 EST
Crimson eyes noted how Crowe still watched Ammy as she left. Was Fleet pissed off" Perhaps, or perhaps he didn't want someone escaping without answering for things.

The offer a drink drew a sharp stare from him at Crowe.

"I don't accept drinks from someone I hardly know, much less someone who's in the company of my wife. My frightened, terrified wife." he stressed the last sentence.

Fleet took up pacing the outer walls of Crowes office, circling the larger wolfen male. Size didn't scare Fleet one bit. Nor did Crowes attempt at sudden hospitality dull the edge of steel deep in Fleets soul waiting to be unsheathed.

"Yes, lets talk Mr. Thorne. Let's start with your obvious lying. You think I couldn't smell the emotions and event that happened in this room' The sharp tang of fear and stress from my wife, the sourness of lust coming from you. Another thing, Ammy has explained to me a few nights ago about her and you. I trust her. You, I know little about and this little scene has far removed you from a high impression with me." He stopped by the desk with the bottle of vodka and glasses.

"Do you have family, Mr. Thorne" A wife and children" Do they know what is going on?" Fleet leveled a gaze at Crowe.

"Do they smell the madness on you? Yes, that's right, I'm talking to someone different aren't I" You're throwing off mixed scents. Human heavily laden with wolf pelt."

Fleet leaned on the desk and hoar frost errupted from his furred hands over the wood and up to the glasses and vodka, coating the glass.

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-21 16:32 EST
He wouldn't look for a fight. His muscles were relaxed, his smile legitimate and his offer still standing, the vodka bottle was frozen to the wood however, ever tempting the sin of drinking booze which he could not have...Something was in those eyes, no more menace, no more debauchery or rudness, just honesty and pent up rage,

"I am sorry for what has occured, I really am Mr Spiritor, I never meant to hurt or traumitise our love, I never did..." eyes glazed over the room, to the door, hoping she could hear every scrap of word he mustered, "I'm not Crowe, nor Mr. Thorne, call me Raven please...I love your mate, and I know it is wrong but being trapped in this body, with him , it drives any sane man to insanity."

Raven sank back into his seat, gazing at the open door, expecting her to return, "Crowe has the family, and I don't want him involved anymore Mr Spiritor, he's an innocent bystander whose emotions I changed to be my own," a long sigh escaped him, a paw rubbing his eyes gently, "I am not mad sir, just pained to not be able to love Ammy and...And," his gave a low growl at himself, anger at himself, "I am just some fool who cannot since I have scared her off...>I'm sorry Mr Spiritor, I truly am, I hate myself already."

Fleetwolf

Date: 2013-03-21 17:24 EST
He took his hands off of the desk and the hoar frost evaporated in an instant. A long calculated look was given to Raven within the Crowe. He crossed his arms slowly.

"So you admit you are a threat to my wife while locked in that body. If you were released, how would I know you'd never go after her?" his crimson eyes narrowed.

"There are few things I posses in this world. She is one of them, and she is the highest treasure in my life. I take all threats to her seriously, Raven. Were I a baser Lupinossai, I'd spare the talk and just lop your head off where you sit, but I am sensing the Crowe you live in is akin to me. Neither of us would die in a fight, just wish for it, out of reach." Fleet leaned against the desk.

"I want you and that body to stay away from my wife until things are sorted, understood" Or I will part your souls myself and you will not be happy with where I house them." He flashed a white grin of sharp teeth.

Even with the oak door closed and being down a few halls, she could hear them over her tears and muffled sobs. She dug into her waning courage and left the bench. Quietly she walked back to Crowes office and gently opened the door a crack to look in. Golden eyes rimmed with red and teary.

Crowe Thorne

"Not a threat Mr Spiritor to her at all, I just wish to share the same love with her that you do!" The wolf bounced out of his chair, hands raised defensively in front of his chest, "I love Ammy," he hated getting all soppy after keeping up this bad boy look, well bad boy emotions, "She thought I was going to take her...I was not Fleety."

Paws clamped down onto the desk, the wolf's eyes now level with Fleety's own nerve-shattering stare, "I will leave you alone till you say I can see her once more, I..." something crimson and golden flashed by the crack in the door, and a soft smile was sent briefly it's way. He didnt want Ammy to hate someone who loved her so dearly.

Chin dipped down in agreement and fully understanding of what Fleety was saying, not threatening, but promising, "You have my word Fleety, I do like my soul..."

Fleetwolf

Date: 2013-03-21 21:30 EST
Fleet locked gazes with Raven to be sure that there was no mistake in either of their words.

"Very well. I'll leave you two intact. Many, I feel may love my wife, but they better get used to her being mine. I've been her husband for seventeen years and not but holding hands and doing little honey do projects . . ."

Fleet bowed his head this once as his mind swirled a moment, blue glowing locks of hair swung down in front of his face.

"I feel I've been down every road with her. Deep inside somehow I fell I know I've seen her dark side and her light side I just can't place how. But I know those feeling don't come from a care free marriage."

Crimson eyes looked at the Vodka on the table and his muzzle curled in distaste. "If you are so willing to drink to numb the pain of loving what you can't have, don't waste your time drinking that swill."

From within his warriors tunic, he withdrew a silver flask carved with the a family crest, Spiritor, and set with gems. He could care less about the gaudy thing. It'd been on him the day he'd found Ammy on the beach stumbling around. He sat the flask on the table and slid it to Crowe's paws.

"Stomach some Nagrah. If it doesn't kill you, you wont worry about anything." He looked to the now cracked door. He could sense his wife out there. A small sigh. She was never good at listening to orders.

Crowe Thorne

Date: 2013-03-24 19:32 EST
He knew Ammy was outside. He could feel that warn, fearful breathe of hers fill the room, no matter how faint it was against his sensitive, silky fur. She was watching. And he hoped for that. He would not hurt her love despite his bubbling need for her, the volcano of madness brimming over the edge. He loved her but he was in the way. Fleety.

The bottle slid neatly into his paw, fingers brushing the gemmed crest of the bottle, eyes glazing over the name curiously, muttering, "Spiritor," But one day that shall not be her name. Ammy Thorne. Sweet, isn't it' A long, bubble-tounge flicked over his lips, tasting the air around the cap, "A fine drink I can tell and if ya hoping to kill me with it, won't be so easy," a crooked smile pulled on his muzzle, directed to Fleety.

He could gut him. Smash the bottle, then gut him with the jagged edges, watching the blood seep through the punctured flesh, oozing onto the ground before his lifeless body slumps to the ground. Dead. But what would Ammy think? She wouldn't love him of she saw her other love ruthlessly murdered before her. No, he'll take his time.

"Thank you...Now go, leave me, go to lovely Ammy and do what any other happy couple would, kiss, talk, flirt, f*ck, whatever suits you," a sneer now rose from the ashes of his smile, "Life is short and simple, it's good to hold your cherished ones close to you or you'll lose them."

Ammy watched through that cracked door. Heard Crowe/Ravens words and watched Fleet closely. Her husband simply walked backward, never looking away from the other man. That simple act and gesture was enough to seal in her mind that whatever had happened in there between her and Crowe, whatever was in Crowe . . . was not something to take lightly. Nothing turn your back on.

She didn't remember the small talk Fleet had with her as he escorted her back to their rooms. Didn't remember much of his tender care and treatment of her, or his concerned gaze at how withdrawn she'd gone. Those events . . . with that name, Raven, were seared into her mind.

Several days would pass, the blizzard would come and go leaving Ammy in a state of settled peace again. Most of the trauma soothed by Fleet and nights of care and love. She took up walking the Coven grounds and halls again, even the Academy grounds as well, always looking to mingle and meet new people.
