The Bristle Crios Snow Moon

Since the heaviest snow usually falls during the month of February, many cultures often call this full moon the Snow Moon. Bristle Crios honors this moon as a way to show appreciation for the winter months that covers the ground with fresh pure white snow, leaving a blank canvas for the beauty of spring to grow.

This second annual Bristle Crios Snow Moon will symbolize an important turning point for Bristle Crios. We will be remembering our fallen founder who gave his life to defend our home and we will be welcoming new leaders who will help support Bristle Crios in his memory, just as the winter symbolizes death and ushers in new life of the spring. Come for our Snowball War Zone, Ice Bowling, Ice Billards, and illuminated displays on our scenic Sleigh Rides. Stay for the free food and drinks. Come to the Bristle Crios grounds to celebrate the Snow Moon on Monday, February 25, 2013 from 9pm to 12 am EST.

Grab you snow suit, mittens, hat or maybe a helmet! The back section of the welcome center has been turned into a snowball war zone. Little forts speckle the field to help everyone get started along with a few barrels full of snowballs. Duck, dodge, cover! War were declared!

The sleigh rides are just off to the right side of the house. Lined up waiting to take people through the grounds and surrounding woods to see the creative light displays set to music, take a peek at the snowball wars and ice bowling along the way or just make it a good excuse to cuddle with champagne. What happens in the sleigh stays in the sleigh.

Next to one of the army tents is a large grilling area, set up with a few chefs and culinary students from The Academy of Bristle Crios. The amazing aroma of grilled food fills the air. Order one of the dishes below, or have a grilled corn on the cob, tin foil baked potato, grilled asparagus, or may other veggies. Don't forget a delicious grilled dessert.

Grilled Salmon Sandwich " Fresh salmon marinated and grilled in a simple glaze of brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon pepper, and dried herbs including parsley, basil, and thyme. Served on a sourdough roll with lettuce, tomato, and herbed mayonnaise. Bacon Burger Dog " A hamburger in the shape of a hot dog, wrapped in bacon, cooked on the grill with cheese melting on top in a warm, fresh baked bun. Served with your choice of toppings like onions, pickles, cheese, etc. Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs " Chicken cubes, green and red peppers, red onions, and large green olives are marinated in a chili-lime sauce with olive oil, red wine vinegar, and chili, onion, and garlic powder. Grilled and served with your choice of dipping sauces. Steak Burger " Tender and juicy steaks marinated in soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, honey, olive oil, and cayenne pepper. Grilled to perfection, served with cheese, mild peppers, onions, and a garlic mayonnaise on potato bread for all of the steak and potato fans.

Dutch Oven Caramel Apple Pie " Cinnamon rolls, diced apples, and brown sugar baked on the grill in a heavy cast iron Dutch Oven makes a delicious twist on the apple pie. Served with a whipped cream topping or french vanilla ice cream. Grilled Banana Split " Skewers of grilled sliced banana, pineapple pieces, and whole strawberries are place on top of scoops of various ice cream drizzled with a creme de leche sauce and fresh fruit toppings. Strawberry Campfire Crepes " Fresh strawberries blended with sweetened cream cheese provide a special filling in these lightly and fluffy crepes, grilled and hot. Sprinkled with powdered sugar and garnished with fresh strawberries. Grilled Peaches " Ripened peaches saut"ed in a glaze of red wine, Triple Sec, brandy, and orange juice. Served with fresh berries over sweet angel food cake with a drizzle of the sweetened glaze.

Accompanying her dress for tonight is simple, and rather plain black high heels, with her hair tied back into a simple ponytail.
