Welcome to the Vampire House

The Vampire House is one of the houses in the Coven Bristle Crios. Founded by Morgan Doyle after leaving Dublin, Ireland, Bristle Crios ensures a safe haven for everyone who maintains peace and protection within its grounds. People of all races, abilities, and backgrounds are welcome as members or guests of the Coven.

Vampire House in Bristle Crios is dedicated to vampiric beings, defined as a being who must drain a life force from a living being that harms that being in some way. The life force stolen may be anything from blood to spiritual energy, but does not include the flesh.

Nestled among a deep forest, the Vampire House sits and stalks. Its blood red ivy covering parts of the house hint at its destructive nature. The large windows are automatically covered with UV shielding tapestries once the sun begins to rise. There are small herds of goats and other small livestock in fenced areas in the surrounding forest. The animals sometimes turn up dead on an occasional morning, but no one asks any questions.

Members of the Vampire House may tell their stories here.

OOC: This is thread is designed to allow members of this house to post a more detailed profile about their character, give players an opportunity to tell a short story about their character's background, write a description of the character's room in the house with pictures, or any other brief topic. More About Vampire House

There are large elegant sitting areas, as well as small intimate sitting rooms that are ideal for afternoon plotting. Do not fear the day time hours at Vampire House. All of the windows are covered with thick, UV shielding tapestries that automatically descend once the sun begins to rise and retract after sundown. See our beautiful libraries. There is a small library devoted to different clans of Vampires, as well as a large library offering texts related to possible abilities of vampires.

There is a large kitchen stocked with many common ingredients, as well as a separate cooler for....the House Beverage. In the first sub level, there is a large wine cellar kept with full stock. But don't assume all of the chilled, dark glass bottles are full of wine. Read the labels carefully to find your perfect victim, uh, vintage. There are a few small intimate dining areas offering small alcoves for hidden meetings. There are several large meeting rooms for clan gatherings and other events.

There is a wide selection of rooms to choose from. You may pick a room upstairs or in one of our many sub levels if you prefer to stay hidden underground. Pick a small apartment for you and your family. Choose a suite with a bedroom and office. Select a small one room bedroom. Lay claim to whatever you prefer.

There are a few flowering gardens around the house, filled with evening blooming flowers. There are a few small livestock pens a distance from the house by the surrounding forest. The animals are taken care of by house staff. Some of the animals turn up dead on an occasional morning, but no one asks any questions. House staff butcher the blood drained corpses of the livestock and divide the meat among the houses.

Blood Sister

I am Lydia Tolmay, co-leader of Vampire House in the coven Bristle Crios.

I share the honor with my twin sister, Leta. I rarely get to see my sister ever since she began dabbling in the black arts, but I know whenever she gains a new ability because I earn that ability as well. We share a strong bond that allows us to tap into each other's skills. Even scars we share. Though we do not share memories, we share pain and I know when my beloved sister is hurt. Occasionally she returns to the coven Bristle Crios, but I always seem to miss her since I spend most my time in classrooms and tutoring.

I consider myself more of a teacher than a leader. I enjoy teaching at the coven. I frequently teach at Mage House, teaching some minor black magic I acquired through my sister. I also teach defensive fighting at Warrior House. I mostly teach the new vampires in Vampire House, giving them a sense of history about their race and clans and helping them tap into some of the abilities they may gain as a vampire.

Look for me around Vampire House. Stop in and say hello. I'm always eager and willing to teach and lend a hand. Some say they can't tell me apart from my identical twin, who is less than herself these days. I always say, "Look for my smile."

My name is Leta Tolmay and I am leader of Vampire House.

I may lead the House with my my blood sister, Lydia, but my heart is devoted to my clan, a powerful group of vampires that share ambition. I am revered as their seer. I am good at what I do.

Unlike Lydia, I wanted more. I chose to be a vampire and I forced it on my twin. As much as I can't stand to be around her, I know I need her. We share a deep bond. We share skills, pain, power. When I earned my dark magic, Lydia earned my magic as well. She is the only one who can ever stop me, my antithesis and my equal. I stay away from her. You will never see us together.

If you see me in the halls of Vampire House, stay away from me unless you have a job that noone else would dare accept. Don't approach me unless you are willing to pay and, in my line of work, it's not limited to your wallet.

Screaming. Yelling. Cursing. The smell of smoke. This was everything that Nikia had woken to. Wide eyes flickered around the room with confusion. The air was hazy, and tasted of burning wood. Easily she slipped out of her bed, and moved for the door of her room, and out. "Mama?" Was called out, before she darted for her Parents room. She found their room to be empty, and frowned. Already...she was getting a bad feeling about this, as if the screaming and smoke didn't help.

She turned on her heel from her parents room, before she took to the stairs, and moved down them quickly. There she found her mother clutching a small body to her, one...that looked like her younger brother...Only...he was covered in blood. Her mind was slowly trying to process what was going on, and the horror that was on her mother's face, when she felt a thick arm wrap around her waist, and started dragging her backwards. There was another figure that moved past her, and the man that had her, and easily slipped his sword into her mother's chest.

"Mama!" The word was shrieked, as the man pulled his sword from her mother, and she slumped over the small lifeless form of her brother. She started thrashing, attempting to get out of the Man's grip, when he clasped his hand over her mouth. More shrieks were sounded, but they were muffled, and barely audible over the crackle of fire, and sounds of misery that surrounded her from outside. Luckily, she was spared from watching her father's death, because the man that held onto her was moving backwards, dragging her to another room, quite easily, despite her thrashings and fighting. She heard the sound of a door being kicked shut after they were in the room, before she was tossed to the ground.

It was then, that she got a good look at her attacker. He was tall, muscular, with a square jaw, shaggy brown hair, and hard, cold blue eyes that were currently raking over her body hungrily. Quickly she managed to get to her feet, before she aimed to dart past him, and to the door, which was her only means of escape. Needless to say, the man easily gabbed her my the arm, before he slapped her across the face, hard enough to leave a mark, that would eventually turn into an ugly bruise. Dazed from the blow, it took her a moment, to realize that her nightgown was in shreds, and his hands were roaming over her. There was a shriek given once it registered with her mind, and she started to struggle again, only to be shoved down onto the floor. A dull thud sounded, when her head hit the ground, before she groaned, and faded in an out of consciousness of his touchings, roaming hands, the press and movement of his body against hers, his groans of pleasure, and her moans of miserable pain, and struggle. The Last thing she remembered was his cruel grinning face... before she woke with a shriek, and bolted up in her bed.

Nikia stared at the wall of her room, panting softly, covered in a sheen of cold sweat, and disoriented...It was just a dream. The same dream that had plagued her since that night her village had been raided, her mother murdered in front of her. The same dream that made her relive the nightmare of what had happened to her constantly. After a moment or two, she buried her face in her hand, and slumped against the wall, her body wracked with shaking sobs, It seemed as if she would be never be able to escape the nightmare. The horror. That she would never heal from the pain, no matter how long passed. It made her wonder....if time truly did heal all wounds, of if that was just words.

Relinquishing Control

Lydia had returned to her room in Vampire House after finishing tutoring some students that evening and teaching her classes. Leta was already there, and Lydia smiled, excited to see her sister. Glaring at her before she got a chance to speak, Leta barked, "What's this about some other tramp coming in and leading MY house?" Lydia shook her head and began putting away the ungraded papers on her desk. Leta was in one of her moods again. "You know you and I never wanted to lead this house. I want to focus on my teaching. You?" Lydia finished and turned to her sister, "You are barely here anyway. You are always working for your company doing God-knows-what in their name."

"Look, I didn't come here to fight about the company. Tell me about this Silverblood," Leta demanded as she sat down in an over-sized chair. Lydia sat down on the edge of the bed as she answered, "Mai is very sweet. She designs clothing." Leta glared at her and replied through nearly grating teeth, "Hell, I know that. Don't you know I would have already sent some of my crew to check up on her" I mean, you should know something about her. What are her dark secrets?" Lydia sighed, finding her sister sometimes oblivious, "You don't get it. She's not like you. She is a good person. She's a talented, successful business woman. She'd make a wonderful leader. Bristle Crios could use her eye for beauty and her creativity."

Leta threw her hands up in the air as she begrudgingly accepted her sister's logic, "So what about me?" Lydia looked at her and paused a moment, "Why do you even want the House" You've never done anything with it. You only want it because it is ours, but it is time that someone who wants to lead be given a chance to make it successful where we have neglected it." Leta stood up, insulted by the remark and as she replied pointed a stern finger at Lydia, "You neglected it, Sister. If this House failed in the past, it was your fault. If it fails in the future, it is in this Silverblood's hands. I wash my hands of this whole manor." Lydia smiled. Only her twin could fight for something she never wanted, then dump it on someone else when she tired of it.

There was a knock at the door, and Lydia turned and called out politely, "One moment!" She returned her gaze to look at Leta, but she was gone. Lydia smiled and shook her head when she saw the open window. She knew her blood sister - Leta would gladly give up the house, but she wouldn't give it up in person. Lydia would handle it, instead. She felt pride in giving over the role of leader to Mai Silverblood. Lydia opened the door and greeted her student, and took a few moments to answer a few last minute questions before she retired for the night. She would go to bed happy, knowing that she could devote more time to her students.

Mai Silverblood

Mai Silverblood, came from a place far away after the death of her parents with her family, her sisters and brother, though she hadn't seen them in a while, Mai made herself feel at home

Opening her own business designing clothing, with the help of her friends Scotty and Harold, now the business is branching into shoe's and jewellry.

She has a daughter, who is studying in a private school.

Mai is empathic, helping her know how the people who are looking for that someone special, or how a woman wants to feel for her partner, how a bride would feel on her wedding day

You would know her by the long red hair, the golden eyes, and the soft accent, the clothes she wears are of her own line, she is always working, be it designing, or in her new role of Vampire house leader in Bristol Crois

She is even designing things for the Rose moon, and has designed clothes for other members in the past.

if you see her, say hi, she wont bite, promise

Standing outside the building looking up, Clad in a tight fitting paneled dress, that stopped mid-thigh showing her long legs ending in red heels, her long red hair cascading down her back in ringlets, sunglasses covering her eyes, smiling the soft accented voice commenting on the beauty "Reminds me of home"

Entering the building taking off her glasses as she went, sighing as the feeling of home settled into her bones, sending the feeling of everyone around her, the sudden flare of anger in the building setting her on edge, frowning.

Walking around the rooms, looking over the decor smiling, walking past the class rooms, looking in smiling before moving on, looking for Lydia's class room.
