Wyheree

Step, step - flash....Step, step - flash....Step, step - flash...

Wyheree walked the perimeter of the Villa's grounds. Although she could sense the wards Brian had established, she was not familiar with their magics, and she wanted to be alerted instantly if any intruder should try to reach the Villa. So, Wyheree walked - sending out a pulse of ice every few steps, silver tears welling in her eyes. Brian had told her the reason for Charlotte's sudden illness the other day, and had asked her to keep watch over the Villa while he tended to her off-world. He spoke of marrow transplants and long-dead relatives, which Wyheree did not understand - all she knew her dearest friend was gravely ill, and protecting the home she shared with Brian was all Wyheree could do for her. So, Wyheree walked.

Step, step - flash....Step, step - flash....Step, step - flash..

As she continued to set her own wards in place, Wyheree's thoughts turned again to her son. "He must be as worried about me as I was about Charlotte" she mused, pausing near a low wall. Sighing, she again tried to reach out through the Ice to her own realm, but again her way was blocked by the swirling mists and biting winds of the interveneing plane - and she could not press through. She had been trying this every day with the same result, but now Wyheree seemed resigned to the fact she was now "stuck" in RhyDin. A small smile as she thought of Brian and Charlotte, of how much they had done for her - a near stranger. "Maybe this is why I cannot leave - I am needed here". New resolution set, Wyheree continued to walk, until the circle was completed. Now, anything or anyone that crossed her ice would alert her instantly. Brian could focus on bringing Charlotte back to complete health. A silent prayer for her friend, and Wyheree entered the Villa and closed the door, sleep finally calling to her.
