As promised, Jewell set out fairly early in the morning on a shopping expedition for her sister. She was a little annoyed she hadn't thought to do this sooner but the presents would still get to Wyheree before the wedding, if only Jewell could find what she was looking for.
The Empress was well acquainted with the variety of shops in RhyDin that sold "clothing" not made to be worn in public. She had owned quite a collection herself. There were a few places she could choose from and with a little bit of thought she directed her steps to Frederick's of RhyDin.
The door chimed as she stepped inside and the lady behind the counter waved to her. She nodded in return before beginning her perusal of the store's merchandise. She was looking for something in particular and did not want to disappoint her sissy.
There was not a hint of a blush as Jewell studiously browsed through racks of babydolls, teddies, corsets, hosiery, underwear of every kind and body jewelery. By the time she was done she had a few things for herself draped over her arm—she just couldn't resist the indulgence—and the perfect gift for Wyh and James!
"For your sister's wedding, Lady Ravenlock?" The cashier questioned as she set her purchases on the counter.
"These are," she pushed the items for Wyh and James off to one side, "and I need them sent to the Sea Wolf as early as possible today. The rest is for me." The lady behind the counter gave her a knowing smile and set about wrapping the gift up to be sent out.
The present would arrive at the Sea Wolf by mid-day in the shape of three red boxes wrapped with black velvet bows. The first had a small card on it that said: Wyheree—For one of the most important nights of your life. I know it will be very special.
Inside was a black lace babydoll set.http://www.fredericks.com/images/4/44098_86_itm_a_6700.jpg
The second box was also labeled for Wyh and in Jewell's flowing script: Something a little more comfortable for every day use.
Also in black, this second set was silk pajamas. http://www.fredericks.com/images/4/44097_78_itm_a_6700.jpg
The third box was labeled as a present for James and contained black silk pajama bottoms and a matching robe top for him.
