Wyheree

Wyheree strolled the grounds outside Brian and Charlotte's home. When she had told Brian about the after-effects of her fight with Dakota, he and Charlotte both jumped to invite her to stay with them as long as she needed to stay. She smiled softly, the breeze catching in her icy hair, sounding it like chimes in the distance. Before returning to RhyDin, Wyheree had dealt with strong emotions, conflicts, and the like - by not dealing with them at all. She coped with her extreme changes by secluding herself deep within her study - or even deeper into the Ice Plane itself if the problem was especially fierce. Now, her study was out of reach, and she dared not phase directly into the Ice Plane - the risk of another magic accident was far too great in her current state of mind - so for the first time in a very long time, Wyheree had to cope with all her emotional upheaval in the company of friends.

Wyheree laughed softly - Brian had been in rare form the previous evening, acting the part of court jester, reveling in the center of attention. And she had found herself smiling at his antics. Lady Sakura had been so worried, and was relieved to see the only lingering effects of her fight was Wyheree's silver eyes. A handsome, kindly rancher had made his way over and introduced himself to her, and the reactions of Sakura, Brian, and even Skyler (though his had been a surprise) literally warmed her heart. Wyheree now understood she had friends - true friends - who would help protect and defend her, whatever the problem may be. She was no longer alone, and that knowledge buoyed her up as she finished her walk. As she entered the house, she knew also that as her friends would help and protect her, so she in turn would help and protect them, no matter what the trouble may be.

Wyheree walked out the Inn this fine morning, her eyes sparking and glittering in anger. Her dear friend Sakura had been upset when she first came in, and upon hearing that the one called Natalia had caused her friend such distress, Wyheree's anger flared further. This woman had already attempted to prey on two of those she held dearest, but this was the final straw. No one hurt her friends - not before, not now, not ever. A wry smile touched her lips - "We will see how she manages one with strength and teeth, instead of one who is weaker than herself", and at that Wyheree drew her hand across and down, the motion drawing whip-like shards of ice with it....oh yes, Wyheree hoped to show Natalia how grave a mistake she had made.

Why is it that she could never stay angry in Brian's presence? After a chat with him, Wyheree's anger slowly dissipated and she was able to enjoy the goings-on at the Inn. Skyler was truly on a roll - insulting, boorish, a general pain to everyone around him. However, upon his return to the Inn, he seemed calm in her presence - further proof that Skyler was the most confusing person she had ever met.

Then Dakota returned, looking as healthy as she has ever seen him. After a slight hesitation, he had approached her and begged forgiveness for what happened in the alley. Wyheree found she was able to forgive Dakota, but the memory of that night would always hang between them. Before taking his leave, Dakota had asked if they could remain friends, and she had agreed, although she knew deep within herself it would be near impossible. As he left, Wyheree hoped he would remain strong in his efforts to stay away from the "drugs" that had turned him into a raving beast.

The night before, a dashing, charming pirate captain named James Black had come into the Inn, apparently just returned from a long voyage. He was a friend of Icer's, and said the most unusual things - calling Icer a "wine cooler" for one - and then he said Wyheree was a Dove among the Dirty Crows. Before departing for the Ravenlock house, she asked Icer to keep an eye out for the handsome Captain Black.

As she walked, twisting the ring that would take her back to the Ravenlock's, she thought about Aerynn - and how worried he must be. "I must find some way to get a message to him" Wyheree mused, and then the ring's magic took effect, and she was gone.
