The troop transport hissed to a stop just outside the city of Rhy"Din. Before them rested was the path leading to Mount Yasuo. A black uniformed figure disembarked from the transport as did a few others. He moved towards a spot and stopped. He reached back, while another handed him a small metallic sensor ball. He lobbed it out in front of him. A meter away, the ball disintegrated into its pieces, crashing into the ground. He nodded, satisfied. He had been studying the area for a while, and had seen the effects of the barrier that protected this mount. He had also been pragmatic and sent in spies.

Now was the time. He turned away from the barrier and nodded. The transport opened on one side allowing hundreds of Stormtroopers to fall out. But they were not like the others that had been deployed on the surface. These were redesigned troopers to fight in this environment. Their armor was more appropriate, no technology. Their blasters had been replaced with swords of the finest quality and their hand to hand combat abilities were exemplified. These troopers would see to it that his rule on this planet would be complete.

"You have your orders. Take them." He turned back towards the barrier as the 'samurai" stormtroopers moved onto the mount's path. They would bring the same form of destruction to this area. The mages followed behind them barking orders and keeping the men in line. There was no place on this mudball that he could not conquer.

~The Silent Dragon Dojo~

The dream has been the same for weeks.

It's one he's had before, off an on, since being a child, but now, recently, it's been recurring for weeks.

Of walking through a cavern. The smell of damp earth, the sound of dripping water, the faintly rippling gleam of light reflecting off of puddles of water.

Until he reaches a huge chamber, where darkness reigns...and something slumbers.

As always, he pauses in the entrance of the chamber, straining to see what the shadows hide in their depths. He doesn't know what is there, only that it's something important...something he's been struggling to see his whole life.

Usually, this is where the dream ends, always on the cusp of seeing what is in that seemingly endless blackness.

Only this night, there's something new.

In that abyssal darkness, a pair of eyes open and stare directly at him.

Huge eyes. Red eyes that hold in their depths a heart of flame.

And yet, he is not afraid. Those eyes are not evil - on the contrary, they hold a depth of wisdom the like of which he has not ever seen.

And then the voice speaks - a voice that is as familiar to him as his own, and yet at the same time strange in a way he can't define.

"Awaken, Ryutaro, son of the dragon. Awaken and realize once and for all who you are...for there is little time left. Death comes to visit these lands, destroying all that is in its path.

Awaken, Ryutaro..."

With a sudden gasp, he sits up in bed that he and Michiko share in his dojo, his temple, his eyes open onto darkness.

The words echoing in his ears, and a sudden feeling of dread, a premonition of danger, weighing heavily in his heart.

He knows it wasn't just a dream, that warning...that trouble is indeed coming.

That they need to prepare.

Shaking the shapely form next to him gently, he speaks with urgency in his voice. "Michiko, anata...come. We must get up and get ready...there is trouble coming our way."

Verbosk had been encamped at Mount Yasuo. It was probably clear by now to his target that the Watch HQ had not been attacked yet. It was all just as well—Verbosk had a viable excuse. Wanted to wait for the Watch to be distracted before he made his move. One could always use smart strategy as a cover for his true motives.

This time, though, there would be no cowering. No deceit. Just the raw, savage power of War. This time, the draconian will follow his instincts. He will drive a talon straight through the heart of the evil man who had killed his friends and partners, enslaved his warder, and threatened the one thing that he cared for more than anything else: His newborn hatchlings.

This time, it is personal.

Verbosk was adorned in such a way to prove that he was out for blood. On his back, mounted in a tight sheath that was strapped to his body by reeds from the Southern Glen, stretching across his as-usual bare chest, was a primitive spear, custom-built for his own hands, the point carved out of obsidian and held to the staff by sinew of a strong, young buck. Dangling at his side, a slingshot, held in a device much like a gun holster. On the other side, a pouch, made of the stomach of the same buck, filled with small rocks and pebbles.

Additional markings had joined the ones that marked him as Hlask to the Lupinossai Den Alpha. Next to the tattoo of the Wolf Clan imprinted on his right breast, there was a pair of crossed spears, blood dripping from the end of each. Tribal markings, mainly lines and spirals, adorned his face and the whole of his body. Yes, they did make him look fierce—that was just the point. When the time would come, Verbosk hoped that the plan would work, and his face, bloodied or not, would be the last face that Travanix would ever see.

The only challenge that stemmed from his change of location was the men. Verbosk had two hundred warriors at his disposal, but not only were they improperly equipped to battle on the technophobic Mount Yasuo, the captains were instantly suspicious. It took quite the handful of bribes and promises of power and new status, and the occassional smackdown or two, to get Verbosk to claim their loyalty. Being a Watch officer helped sometimes.

But the basic infantry had no weapons, as they were armed primarily with rifles that wouldn't work on the Mount. It took quite a bit of work to solve that little pickle, but after a long all-nighter, Verbosk had managed to craft clubs, slings, and, courtesy of the Master of the Chainned Inn, stole a couple of katanas from the armory that he proferred, gratefully, to the officers and some of the more skilled frontline soldiers. It was a ragtag group, and Verbosk was sure they would suffer numerous casualties. But, a good warrior fights the good fight, whether it be win or loss. If anybody, Verbosk would remain standing until he was cleaved into a thousand pieces.

This time, war will come.

This time, there will be battle.

And for Verbosk, he wouldn't want it any other way...

At first she is deeply dreaming of a time when she was younger and training. Her *uncle* had been a noble of power within the Unseelie Courts and had come to her after that horrible accident. She still blamed herself for.

The training, the pushing of her limits. She was faster, stronger than most but she was also half human and not immortal.

At first she is dropped out of her dream into semi-wakefulness as Ryutaro sits up suddenly. She was fighting the dregs of sleep and her own dreams when he moved to shake her gently. There is an urgency in his voice she could not ignore.

"Michiko, anata...come. We must get up and get ready...there is trouble coming our way."

She was awake then. Not happily so, but then she had a feeling that he had a premonition that was about to come true. She had hoped she would not have another fight like the Tower. Reality however dictated otherwise.

She sat up and ran a gentle hand along Ryutaro's back, soothing him. "Do you want me to gather the students, anata?"

Just on the outside of the barrier the boltholes started opening. It was predetermined coordinates that had been relayed to the Samurai Troopers. As they had been planning, Iokaste was bringing through her more seasoned Daimons. These were Daimons that had been training under her command for a few centuries, Spathi entrusted to her or the newer Apollites that she was harvesting from a community she found on Rhy'din.

She had been surprised and quite pleased to find one of the lost communities from the Trojan Wars. They still remember what it was like to fight to survive and adapted wonderfully. Because they still were cursed, they were very much angered by Apollo and willing to join their side.

The Daimons blended into the *Samurai* Troopers seamlessly, a mixture of Samurai armor and Ancient Grecian. Even Iokaste had a modified set of micromesh under the leather trenchcoat she wore.

It was thus that the ancient Spathi approached the Samurai Commander.

He nods as he pulls on a pair of pants - black - and heads for the door. "Yes. I don't know where the trouble is, only it's coming to these lands. Send Audra to see if she can find her Shao'lin friend as well - I know he has been staying around the temple somewhere, and we need all the help we can get."

Slipping out of the room, he heads for the entrance to the Dojo, stepping out of the doors and into the still night air, the chill and mist of the earliest of morning.

The voice, the eyes in his dreams, and the warning...and the cryptic message.

Awaken and realize once and for all who you are...

What does it mean to him"

He suspects he will find out soon enough.

He does not notice the fiery flicker in his own eyes, so much like the eyes he had seen in his dreams...and it never occurs to him that the early morning chill is not even felt as its insidious breeze brushes across his body.

It took her a bit longer to dress. The premonition had her preparing with her micromesh armor. It has saved her life on more than one occasion. The bodysuit was lightweight and very durable. She adds on a pair of sheathes for her sai and her paired daisho set.

She stopped a moment to look at her left hand, feeling the stirring just beneath the surface. The Duels had awakened the Hand of Fear, but was dormant most of the time. She clenched her fist and headed for the Student's Quarters. No time for subtlety as she reached the bell that signaled meals and classes. It also served for emergencies.

At this moment, they only had three students. There just wasn't enough time.

A moment later came the two youngest students, bleary eyed from being awakened from sleep. Audra herself was already dressed and wide awake. Good"

"Audra, find your Shao"lin friend." She looked over the three, "There is danger coming and Sensai believes we will need his help." She didn't wait for acknowledgement, "You two, Come with me."

Since her recovery, she had been acting as a mother figure of sorts. She knew these children to be orphans after a fashion, and She? well She could not abide by that.

The ringing of the bell roused her from her meditation. She was always up early and meditating. It was how she replenished the magic that was part of her existence. The meditation allowed her to focus on her lessons. Though sometimes she could not stop the presence of Wangdak creeping into her thoughts.

Still, she was already dressed and stepping out of her own room behind her siblings when Sensai Ito spoke up.

"Audra, find your Shao"lin friend. There is danger coming and Sensai believes we will need his help. You two, Come with me.?

Audra was stunned on a couple of levels. First, was knowing that they had a family here now. The Sensai's looked after them like parents. It felt good.

Second was the realization that they knew about Wangdak. Well, she knew on an intellectual level but hearing it confirmed shocked her.

She nodded and slipped quietly into her quarters. In her mind, four feet would serve better than two. A moment later there was a little fox running towards the outskirts of the temple. She sniffed around, looking for him. She had a vague idea, but if he didn't want to be found, he wouldn't be found.

She realized as she looked how much she missed him...

The specially designed and assigned troops were without match when it came to basic training and format of hand to hand and the art of a broadsword. However, an extra edge was never a bad tactical move.

Riding upon the blue slaved dragon, Icer, Travanix had ridden through the air with little regard to what was going on below in the city and its outskirts. The night sky was now full of the flames below and the raging starship battle above. Romax would be able to keep the planet's outside guests from getting in the way.

He had no belt upon his hip, no saber at his back. The field would destroy those items, and he had no time to deal with such silliness. The Force would be enough to contend with the heathans. He pushed Icer into a dive, going right to the barrier - He did not want her collar destroyed..not yet. She was still important. He dropped off her back as she hovered a few feet, her wings beating. "Return to the Inn. Your night is not yet done, my dear."

There was a simple nod from the beast as he moved towards the barrier line. She turned and began flying off obediantly. His arms folded behind him as he moved past it. His troops were beginning an excellent raid on the small villiage there.

Much like everything else, soon it would all be his.

Verbosk could hear the sounds of battle close. Already, his men properly armed, and the officers properly paid off, they were in their ranks and ready to fight, even though the absence of the key backlines players would prove to be a challenge. Verbosk looked to his captains, confirming their squads readiness.

All nodded the confirmation.

Verbosk looked behind him, towards where his dragon allies lay in wait. Across their mental link, Verbosk spoke to his bound partner—not slave, like what the monster had done to his mentor and oldest friend—across their link.

Lily, tell your men to target the mages. We have to eliminate those. We will deal with the troops as long as we can. But, in the name of the Gods, get rid of those mages. They will be there.

Upon the sending of that message, Verbosk turned to his men, then signalled to get down and report to their specific positions, ready for the ambush. The commander himself, traitor to Travanix yet the only one, as far as he knew, that stood a chance against the masses that threatened RhyDins very existance, took a spot in the bushes with about 25 men at his back and a katana-armed officer. He unslinged the spear from his back and prepared. The time had come. The board is theirs.

The problem with intelligence, it is rarely complete. Especially when new players enter the fray. The Grecian styled warriors had been trained from the cradle on combat and tactics, even the new turned ones.

Spearheading the drive was the Spathi warrior. As deadly as they come, there was no fear in her. She lead the troops into the first village and there was no mercy. Those that were not killed outright, would be herded like cattle for the Daimons to feast.

The Daimons were very specific in their targets. Pregnant females, mages....These were herded off, or even consumed on the spot. To those that didn't know better, it looked like a coven of vampires had been unleashed.

They would be in for a surprise.

Not once would she disobey the man upon her back, pushing her on. Going into a steep dive, she paused just before the barrier, letting her master dismount.

"Return to the Inn, your night is not yet done my dear." A nod of her head assured Travanix she understood. Soon she had wheeled around midair wings beating as she disappeared into the distance, returning to the Inn and her post.

The screams of the slaughtered were without equal!

He personally tore through a line of defenders, the Dark Side simplifying his speed and strength. Reaching through the Force, he strangled, burst blood vessels, crushed hearts and shattered bones. All the while enjoying the feeling. Those that dared to practice some form of melee combat were met on superior ground.

Dragons might have proven problematic...

....had the Spathi commander not done her bit of homework. She had been in these realms several months plotting and gathering forces for such a strike and the one thing she found...

....There was nothing more voracious an eater than a Charonte1 demon. She rolled up her sleeve revealing a dragon tattoo and purred softly.

"Draxas, Time to wake up, pet." She smiled darkly as the tattoo flew from her arm and transformed into a very beautiful, if not thoroughly goth demon. Were it not for the horns on his head, he might be able to pass for one of those Emo crowd irritating Rhy'din.

"Akra2 called Draxas?" He rumbled quietly. He was an elder demon and had been close to Apollymi for a long time. How and why he was bonded to the Spathi was a mystery.

There was a dark smile on that pale flesh, "Draxas, summon your breathren, it's dinner time." She pointed to the dragons, "Only those overgrown lizards."

Let the carnage begin as the Charonte summoned 3 of his immediate family. The air soon filled with war cries of "BBQ!"

As the Charonte surged up to meet the Dragons, she turned her attention to the slaughter. Drawing a pair of twined Spatha3, She whirled into action, facing off personally against any defenders that got in her path.

Iokaste was an ancient warrior that never came down off of a blood high.

1- Charonte Demon Ancient demon race the Olympian gods feared, but the Atlantean gods managed to tame. They can bond to gods, Hunters, and humans as companions. Once bonded, they can rest in the form of a tattoo on their bonded's body. Charontes are the "ber-id, they love to shop, kill, and eat everything. Easy to annoy, dangerous when angry, and big-time fun to party with.

You do not, however, want to be killed by a Charonte. Charontes do not just destroy the body of their victim. They also destroy the ousia?the life force that exists beyond the body or soul. A Charonte can be killed by an Atlantean dagger. (There are none in Rhy'din - The Atlantean God Acheron has seen to this.)

The troops rounded the corner, and with a war cry consisting of a massive draconian roar, Verbosk spearpointed the charge against the demon hordes.

~This isn't right. Whatever happened to the regular troops?~ Verbosk thought this to himself, undoubtedly to be heard by his dragon partner. ~This is not good. We need to eliminate the commanders quickly.~

"Captains, direct your men to target the officers! You guys," Verbosk said to his group of soldiers that he had commanded personally. "Come with me. We're going after Travanix." He roared and hissed as talons slashed and tail smashed through any demon that dared come near him. He and his group slowly, steadily, made their way toward the hulking black form of Travanix.

Seeing as there was no demonic hordes....It was amusing to watch the defenders trip all over themselves. Even the drama in Lily losing control over 3 Charonte Demon had a smile on her lips. She turned to one of the Daimons fighting along side of her and murmured.

"(vq) Inspired notion to create those illusions." The Daimon in question was a passable fighter with an uncanny control of illusion. She ordered the woman to the back away from the immediate fighting. "Continue the confusion."

This was far easier than expected. It this was the state of the defenses on the Mountain. The villages would be a cake walk. Still, it wouldn't do to base her tactics on a few foreign entities trying to play the hero and tripping over their own feet.

It had been a while since he'd last seen Sid, the only thing he could figure was that their sister had moved them. As it was, he lost several days to moping, until he remembered that he could track them. He could change forms, and surely their scents hadn't been obliterated completely. Once all of those dots connected, it was an easy matter to find he way to their old house.

No one seemed to pay the albino youth much notice. Even when he disappeared into a back alley, and came back out as a pure white wolf, with matching white eyes. Said wolf settled into an easy, mile eating lope, following a trail that only he could really sense. He hadn't thought the plan through well, he didn't know what he was going to do should he find them. Nor had he considered that there might be no welcome. After all, Audra had moved them in part to get them away from him.

He also didn't know he was walking into the line of a battle. The wolf wove it's way through the mountains, over the course of several days. Eventually coming to a halt at the dojo. He'd picked up on the chiming of a bell, but didn't know what it meant. Shifting back to a human form, and using a hint of glamor to create clothing for himself, retaining the nineteen year old's form, as he wandered near the entrance, looking for another person, and trying to decide if it was ethical to try the door.

Entirely clueless as to what he was walking into.

One would be defender suddenly fell to the ground, his fingers wrapped around his neck as he tried to fight off something holding back his intake of air. He shook his head violently just as a black formed figure reached down and picked up the defender's sword. The sword was quickly returned through the chest of its owner.

Travanix was already moving before the body hit the ground. The spark started small across his fingertips. It didn't take long before a ball of lightning form and was contained in his hand. It was launched off to the side at a small house, the ball becoming a lightning storm over the building causing its flamible materials to ignite suddenly.

He said nothing as he marched on, his troopers running past him to take on other defenders. He looked towards the horizon of the battle, seeing a group of troopers taking on a single "hero". Finally, a real challenge. Or at least, a good distraction. The last of the troopers taking on the hero fell, the hero turning and charging on the black uniformed figure. His blade coming up to strike at him!

Verbosk tried to instill calm amongst the defense as panic started to overwhelm them, and a couple even defected and surrendered, providing intelligence about troop movements.

If one thing could be counted on, the courage of men was nothing against demons, imagined or not.

The draconian himself was panicking as well, but he was cool and calm as well. He was the instigator! He had to show strength and courage! He roared loudly, trying to rally his men. This was a losing battle—the psychological aspect was too much for his warriors.

But the only thing that stood between him and almost certain victory was the capture of Travanix—and there he stood, a dark tower, peaked by evil eyes, emitting lightning from his tall seeming. Verbosk removed the slingshot from its holster and armed a rock within the magazine. Pulling it up, Verbosk aimed the sharp rock right for Travanix's left eye....and RELEASED!

To take advantage of an enemies distraction was one thing - to take advantage of it while he's in battle shows a tactition's skill. The blade that was coming down on him was grabbed by bare hand, a dark smirk on his lips and pulled into the path of the incoming projectile. A shame the sword was made of metal and conducts electricity. Dark lighting coursed through his fingers and traveled along the sword faster than the hero could release.

The jolt of the lightning sent the hero 6 meters back, causing him to crash through a house wall. Auburn eyes turned to the Watch Officer. "Set yourself up as a defender of the realm, have you. I wonder what those of your brethern would think of you when I tell them that you caused the deaths of hundreds of their ranks." He laughed darkly. The blade was flipped in hand, the bloodied fingers catching the hilt of the hero's weapon. "But then again, you betrayed me, as well. In terms of souls, unseen by the defenders on the whole, the Daimons were not letting such tidbits go to waste. The Commanders themselves would run into Iokaste herself.

And with 10,000 years of combat experience under her belt, they would not find her an easy target. The Ancient Atlantean cut through their defenses like butter and pressed the attacks on those commanders. Until she came upon Lily herself.

Her animal eyes widened as she could see the malevolence in his eyes and she was his target. She now blindly ran.

~Wangdak, where are you?? Gods, help me please.!~

She prayed she could escape this creature. Now she was being hunted and she had no way to outrun this monster.

"nope right side"-narrowing her eyes- "sadly, its just my job"-grinning back fangs showing her eyes flashing red-"id rather trust the ones I fight with, than ones who'd stab me in the back"

-smirking running leaping over her-"later, maybe a one on one is needed, but, I have a job to do"

- landing skillfully in heels giving chase to the one hunting the villagers-"heads up!"

-taking his head off-"oops, wrong warning loser"

((Lily, I suggest you check your PMs.))

That's the thing with illusions, especially when under the control of a power psychic. They are all too real.

Case in point, the one Daimon that was held back from the fighting saw that on overly dramatic Demon Dragon facing off against her leader and turned the brunt of her abilities on her.

She thought she was was killing Ektor, but in reality she beheaded one of her own men standing right there.

She thought she was helping Audra, but in fact she was yelling at a corpse.

She was still on the battlefield with Iokaste and the Spathi just smirked as she walked away from her. It was far more satisfying to make their enemies humiliate themselves.

((OOC Note: The invasion, as I understand it, starts at the portal near the Ivory Lotus teahouse. For those not in the know. the Silent Dragon Dojo (which is where this and the characters Quiet Contradiction, Michiko, and Storm are currently in the vicinity of) is about a day and a half to two days travel from that location.))

The fox would not be disappointed.

The only thing either of them would see at first is a glimmer, off to the left of their path, a brilliant white form that can't be focused upon, like an illusion, getting closer, larger...

...and with startling suddenness that glimmering form hurls itself at the pursuer with a snarl that is entirely bestial in nature.

Only it's not a glimmering, indistinct form, but rather a brilliant white tiger with furious, brilliant blue eyes, very nearly the size of a horse.

Taken completely by surprise, the man-creature doesn't have a chance to respond. From first sight to the tiger's appearance only seconds have passed, and just over half a ton of pissed-off tiger hitting you in the chest isn't the easiest thing to push away.

Long, sharply curved claws dig into the chest of the thing even as the jaws close over the neck, the tiger's head twisting and tugging. With a wet, ripping, crunching sound, the monster/man's head is torn away from his body and cast aside, even as those curving claws slice through the torso.

Again and again the tiger tears at the body, severing tendons and ripping limbs off, until quite suddenly it disintegrates into golden dust.

The tiger looks almost comically surprised and sneezes as the dust hits his nose. With a shake of its head it backs away, a low, rumbling growl in its throat as it looks around for the fox.

(OOC: Verbosk and Trav are locked in combat - just to keep everything straight - GAME ON!)

He was strong - but not strong enough. He shifted his weight, allowing the spear to move fowards. Something dark and cold grabbed the arms of the dragon-kin and using his momentum and own strength as well as the added push of the Dark Side, flung the warrior several meters forward. More than likely, the warrior would regain his balance quickly. Travanix turned on his heels, the blade dropping into a defensive posture.

"You are weak, officer. Did our last encounter teach you nothing?"

She stopped when she heard the snarl. It was the only thing that could have broken through the panic of the little Nine Tail. She peeked out of the trees to watch the ferocity with which the tiger savaged her pursuer.

She blinked as the creature tried to fight back, but had been overwhelmed by the tiger. A feeling of dread came through her as the thing disappeared in a cloud of golden dust.

The trembling kitsune came out of the trees as if in answer to the growl of the tiger. By nature, she should be terrified of the great cat, yet she knew who this was. She took halting steps from the trees to him and stopped in front of him with a soft chuffing sound.

~Wangdak.~ She sent to him. The mind voice was tinged with a sense of urgency. As much as she wanted to hide with him, she knew she had to tell him.

Dragonlover: "You are a monster that cheated that day! But today....you're going down." With a roar, Verbosk charges his opponent on the field of battle at Mount Yasuo, that spear aimed directly forward.

LordTravanix: ::The dark warrior turned to the side, allowing the spear to slip past before bringing his hand down against it to break it in two.:: Pathetic, welp.

Dragonlover: With a hiss Verbosk wheels around, now bearing the ends of the staff like a pair of short swords.

LordTravanix: ::The metal blade whipped around, going for the muscles in his left arm::

Dragonlover: Verbosk ducks under the blade, then whips his tail around, targetting Trav's knees.

LordTravanix: ::Down he goes, knees buckling under him.::

Dragonlover: Verbosk leers over him, then begins to raise the spear-point over his head, like Van Helsing killing Dracula.

LordTravanix: ::He smirked.:: What are you waiting for...Hmm' Is your *honor* holding you back" ::His blade came around smacking his weapon away, clearing a path to do a flip kick into his chest while he was getting up off the ground::

Dragonlover: With a grunt, Verbosk is flung off of Travanix....but not without a set of nasty foot talons digging into skin during the fly back. The draconian keeps a hold of the club in his right hand, talons outstretched in the other. With a roar, he jumps up and sails over Travanix, attempting to hit him in the back of the head.

LordTravanix: ::He rolls out of the way, blocking with his blade the claws. As he rolls out of the way, he swelled out a kick aiming for his knee cap::

Dragonlover: With a roar, Verbosk breaks his trajectory and lands hard on his shoulder. "Ahhh!"

Dragonlover: With a flurry of wings and talons, his cool starting to loosen, Verbosk whips his left hand around as he wheels back to his feet.

LordTravanix: ::He stepps back, easily avoiding the clumsy assault. He slipped to the side, his leg arching up to do a roundhouse to his back::

Dragonlover: Okay. That's the last straw. You get close to his wings....and all hell breaks loose. As the kick is planted right between the shoulders, Verbosk roars and throws the club hard at Travanix's head.

LordTravanix: ::And the club lands right in the middle of his forehead, sending him back a few paces::

Dragonlover: He stands up, talons spread wide at his sides, and he hisses a primitive challenge at Trav.

LordTravanix: ::He shakes his head to clear the cobwebs before he does a sweep to send the welp back to the floor::

Dragonlover: Verbosk steps to the side, pivoting on his left foot, then tries to dig talons through Travs spine.

LordTravanix: GAH! ::He moans as the talons are dug in::

Dragonlover: Verbosk comes around to face Trav again, talons spread out at his sides. He hisses again.

LordTravanix: ::He arches and twists his back as he adjusts to the holes, and begins to chuckle slightly before he brings the blade down to take after his arm.::

Dragonlover: Verbosk just manages to get his arm out of the way with a tail whip at Trav's side, avoiding the blade from hewing his arm completely off. But, scales are shaved, betraying black skin underneath that is bleeding purple blood.

Dragonlover: And then, POW. Backside kick at Trav's gut.

LordTravanix: ::He bends easily to avoid the kick, shifting his weight before flipping backwards, but not before catching him under the chin with a kick::

Dragonlover: "Oomph!" The watchman is kicked and lands hard on his back. Bending his legs into his chest, Verbosk lifts himself with the momentum of his legs, then tries to plant outstretched talons into Trav's right side, piercing his lung should it land right.

LordTravanix: ::The claws pierced his flesh, but not enough to go into his lungs...barely. He growled out in pain, his eyes becoming a blood red glow. One hand shot out, his fingertips glowing for a brief second before an arch of black lightning shot towards the fool.::

Dragonlover: Verbosk pivoted to the side, tearing out flesh as he goes. He again whips the tail around, this time aiming for Trav's knee.

LordTravanix: ::He slips to the side, avoiding the tail with his leg, but reaching out with his charged hand to grasp it, and send the electricity straight into him.::

Dragonlover: Verbosk, seeing his tail missed, twirls to the side and dodges the lightning attack. He attempts another spinal tap with his talons.

LordTravanix: ::His spine is again attacked, the claws piercing then departing, the back of his uniform covered in his own blood. He winced and exhaled deeply, his eyes still blood red as he moved to take a back swipe with the katanna at the arm of the attacker.::

Dragonlover: He roars and recoils, holding a bicep with his free hand. Purple blood is pouring from the wound. The draconian is damn lucky he didn't lose the arm. He growls, then charges Trav with as much speed as he can muster, maw opened wide, and he pulls out his secret trick: Fire pours out, coming toward Travanix.

LordTravanix: ::The Dark Side flows through him, his hand reaching out to take the energy from the fire that poured out, he side stepped the rush, bring the katanna down upon the tail of the Watch officer.::

Dragonlover: The tail moves out of the way, and Verbosk attempts to land an uppercut on Trav's chin.

LordTravanix: ::He bends back, twisting to avoid the upper cut, going now for his exposed gut with a rabbit punch!::

Dragonlover: Verbosk twists to the side, and tries to land a left hook on Trav's cheek.

LordTravanix: ::He barely has time to move out of the way for the next assault to his head before deciding to bring his knee up into the chest of the dragon-kin::

Dragonlover: The air is knocked right out of him, and the watchman's knees buckle. He is starting to lose strength....but that warriors discipline always wins through. He bites at Trav's thigh.

LordTravanix: ::This time, the knee is brought up under the chin, just as he was trying to bite his leg.::

Dragonlover: Verbosk lies sprawling on his back from the chin strike. From his spot on the ground, he tries to plant a kick in the fork of Trav's legs. Sure, it's down low and unfair, but what choice does he have now"

LordTravanix: ::The impact is sharp, his body recoils as he steps back a pace. But he doesn't rest long, before jumping into the air, driving himself feet first towards the chest of his victim.::

Dragonlover: Verbosk cannot get out of the way in time. Ribs break, breath is wheezy, blood is being coughed up. But he still has fight left. He tries to bite Travs foot.

LordTravanix: ::He howls out, just as loud as the dragon-kin had, the pain intense, his foot covered in his own blood. The other booted foot makes a swift kick to his head while he's down.::

Dragonlover: Verbosk head moves away from the booted foot as Verbosk grabs Travs leg and attempts to hurl him off with whatever strength he has left into a nearby pillar.

LordTravanix: ::His body slams violently against a piller, the katanna falling to the ground. He shook his head once more to clear the cob webs. Behind him the ground rumbled as the piller was ripped from the ground without him actually touching it, and it was launched like a rocket towards Verbosk!::

Dragonlover: Verbosk manages to roll out of the way. Drawing his slingshot and loading it with a rock, he aims and fires at Trav's eye.

LordTravanix: ::The rock in the eye sends him stumbling back, more out of shock then pain. Still hurt though. He growls harshly.:: You foul little beast. I should have cut your head off our first encounter! ::This time, the air begins to chill more, becoming constricting. Lighning flashes violently over head for a moment, but no clouds have formed! Swirls of black and blue begin to form, starting small and building. His arms reach out as if to control it: A force storm has been born! Its Target: Verbosk!::

Dragonlover: Verbosk cannot easily dodge a Force attack....but he sure as hell can endure it! He runs through and launches another stone at Trav!

LordTravanix: ::The storm now running lose on the battlefield, but not at useful at this moment. He released his control, not caring where it goes and launches himself at Verbosk, his leg leading the charge in a leap kick!::

Dragonlover: Oh, Verbosk just had to lose focus that one moment. His eyes blurred as the adrenaline wears. By the time he comes to, that foot is planted right in his chest, and, as if in slow motion, Verbosk is flung backward and he lands, limply, on the ground, the slingshot lying near his hand. Travanix victory.

LordTravanix: ::He hurts, the Dark Side has managed to contain most of the lost blood, but he's still injured.:: You put up a "fair" fight, officer. Your honor let you down, and as such, you will live long enough to watch me destroy everyone and everything on this mount. ::He motioned to two guards to come take him away, binding him in chains.:: And then...I will kill you. ::He laughed as he moved towards one of the officers.::

Dragonlover: The draconian groans as the ringleader of the Resistance, spy within Travanix's walls, is carried away.

Verbosk was defeated. Oh, woe is him. Him, Lily, the Den. More than likely, Travanix will take out his vengeance on the Lupinossai now....after the draconian was brutally tortured, interrogated, killed....But by the Gods...

~Don't enslave me.~

What a shame should that happen, and the Gods in all their glory decide to forsake the White Knight in scales. It would seem, however, that they already had. Word of Verbosk's fall and capture was already spreading, the human troops were dropping their weapons and running in a frenzied panic towards the School. It was an absolute mutilation, and the demonic illusions were not helping much either.

Verbosk looked up, saw the struggling dragons fight against....whatever those things were. It was up to them now. He saw, and felt, that Lily was still standing. His weak mind reached out to her before something more happened. Chains dug into the Watchman's skin as he was holstered to a battle wagon.

~Lily, keep fighting. Don't let the Mount fall. Tell Tysiath. Tell the Den, Shift, and the Shimmerscales, too. Tell them....they are alone now.~

Verbosk prayed to every God, whether he believed in them or not, for the protection of his friends.

At least it was on helluva fight.

"Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more: it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." Macbeth Quote (Act V, Scene V).

It was a poorly disciplines army to fall into utter chaos and retreat like it did. The fleeing human provided easy targets for the Daimons and Samurai Troopers. In short it was an utter rout...

Of course, having such chaos was like putting up a huge sign that reads "Good Eats Here." The Daimons where culling where they could, taking their fill of the ones fleeing and allowing the Samurai troopers to slaughter the rest.

The run for the school would take 4 to 5 days....Even with a head start, the survival rate was abysmal...

There was a thought from the Daimon commander as she watched the rout. "Let a couple of the human flee. They will lead us to what they perceive to be sanctuary."

Thus the bulk of the troops began moving.

He hurt, but the Force was quickening the pace his body healed. The dragon-kin was trussed up solidly against the makeshift battle-wagon his troopers had taken from some farmer. Extra weapons were gathered up and placed on the back of the wagon. The troopers had stripped the dragon-kin of his weapons, his armor: Leaving only his scales.

Travanix groaned slightly as he rolled his shoulder and shook his head. The sounds of battle raged on in the distance. He approached the battle-wagon. "Well, I will grant you this, little one. You gave me a very tough fight. And for that, I will grant you a little more time on this mudball world. I am going to allow you to see what is going to happen to this planet, before I kill you outright." He chuckled as he pulled out a very sharp short blade. "Even more, you are going to help me." He tapped the tip of the blade against one of the shoulder scales on Ver's arm. "I knew you were important to me."

With precision work, he began to carefully and slowly slice and cut each scale off Verbosk's body, taking in those delightful screams of pain that matched the terror and the battle that raged before him.

Verbosk couldn't do much to stop the troopers from taking what little armor he had, and his slingshot. But his scales....now THAT is something he will protect.

At first, the draconian seemed content, if not hopeless, for a while. A few scales were hewn off, which were prompted by hissing and a flailing tail, more out of agitation than out of pain. But then....CHOMP TIME. Verbosk managed to get his head over and try to take a chunk out Trav's hand. He wasn't the only who was going to be scarred from this ordeal, if the Watchman had anything to say about it!

She doesn't have to say anything more than that one word.

So much is conveyed. Some things that he knew already, of approaching trouble and others fleeing for shelter.

He had seen and heard the first whisperings of that a day ago.

Not from people, so much, as the land itself.

He hadn't been hiding, save perhaps from the man he calls the Dragon, Audra's sensei. That he had been able to hide in the Dragon's land was something he considered a triumph - he had watched more than once as the man had moved through the woods of his own domain, seeming to appear from nowhere and then be gone in an instant without leaving a trace.

Or perhaps he had not been able to. Audra would not have sought him out in the night this way unless she had been sent or everyone else were dead. And his senses, his feelings tell him this is not the case.

Tysiath

Tysiath had prepared herself for the travel. She ate and drank and had plenty of rest. All for what, though' Her servant. His absence could not be tolerated. For Verbosk to treat her badly then devote himself then be missing again? This upsetted her. Even if it was battle-related. And punishment will not be so merciful from her....

With quick pace she had flown and run, switching between the two when needed, to the place that Verbosk took stand to defend. She already knew of the location since she was there far before any battle occured. Only did she take breaks when needed. Flying was not so easy since she is wearing all her armor again and having to carry her newly made spear, but the times she did fly helped her get to the location much faster than just being on foot.

As she got closer, though, something wasn't right. Flicking her tongue out she tasted the scent of blood. In the distance she heard battle. Then realizing with her keen sight and examining the lands. The defenders of the mount were retreating and being slaughtered. Examining more of the ground she noticed a group around a battle-wagon. When she got even closer she focused hard realizing there is a draconian. She could not tell if it was Verbosk or another draconian of some kind.

With a glance to her side she saw Lily in a distance. Then she shouted, "Lily!" in hopes to get her attention and hear her, but her wings were getting tired. Tysiath can not stay in the air any longer and go to her.

She dove in towards the group and at what odd timing that her wings had to get tired. Her dive was fast and she pulled into a glide when she was going down to help slow herself, but with that extra weight on it made it harder. Eventually, she had come close to the group and landing on the ground roughly. Falling to one knee and the spear in her right hand standing on its end helping hold her up. Slowly her head looked up, panting a bit from being a little tired. Now she saw it was Verbosk chained to the battle-wagon and the man she was wary about many times before. "What is going on here" What are you doing with my servant?" Tysiath spoke in a stern manner. She showed no fear nor did she hesitate. Although, she was not sure who was going to answer or how they would react.

She got a feeling something bad might happen, but she was ready. Tysiath was ready to defend herself. But that moment had to go into flow. She did not make any threatening stances or poses trying to remain neutral in the situation for the time being. Especially, that she had to regain her energy for a brief moment from the exhausting travel.

She understood what he meant there. There was a soft chuff, before she stepped back. She form then started shifting and changing. There was no pain in the change, as fluid as it was.

Within moments, she stood on two legs before him. Instead of shifting to her human form , she shifted to her were-form. She had a layer of downy crimson fur on her form, and her facial features were still the fox. She wore a light kimono about her form for modesty sake. She chose this form for the added warmth and strength that she would not have in her human form. Even in this form, there was Nine tails present.

She smiled and moved to climb onto his back. There was a soft chuff as she leaned down and wrapped her arms about his neck. This spoke of the level of trust she has in him.

The scales were piled up around him so that he could see what was done. Some of the scales were loaded into makeshift bombs with the local equivlent of black powder. Travanix laughed as he designed them out on the spot. "You can never have too much of a good thing, can you officer?" He laughed again. "Tell me, did it all happen the way you wanted it to' Have you infiltrated my organization far enough to begin dismantalling it?"

He ordered the troopers to load the first of the bombs on the launcher. He walked with them as they loaded it and then flipped the long lever that would launch it a few hundred feet towards one of the villiages.

"This is my world, my boy. And you have failed to do anything other than rest as make-shift hood decoration." The bomb landed and exploded, sending his scales every direction, becoming shrapenal.

Tysiath glared and hissed seeing that Verbosk's scales were taken off. And as she has been angry at him. Then to see that he was chained up and a fallen warrior captured. That made him look like a even bigger failure to her. She use to look up to him, think he was so great, so powerful, until he became a prisoner.

A loud growl and she rose to her feet. Moving the staff into her left hand. "This pathetic servant is mine! And no one will be taking him from me!" she shouted. She put a hand on the teleport bracelet she was given long ago as a friend gift that she wore on a forearm and began to rub it. The bracelet glowed and as she moved towards Verbosk. She was going to teleport them both out of there and to the Twilight Island. Except, for where they would be going did not mean safety for the fallen draconian. What Travanix had started was only the beginning.

But his words were futile. She was already in the process. By the time he had any idea what was going on, the pair were sucked into the blackness of between that he had learned about in the Den. Teleportation.....the warrior never liked it.

But this time, the blackness was welcomed as he was taken away from the losing battle at Mount Yasuo. At least he tried....and he did manage to prove one thing. The mighty slaver can be scarred just as much as anybody else...
