I think the biggest mistake a captain could make on a long term voyage is to keep people are a distance. Yet, it is best this way.
I can't play favorites. Hells, I have held back from taking a lover for a long time that the rumors of the Ice Queen certainly are creditable. My focus is my job and keeping people alive.
It is certainly a cold existence.
I regret not being a child growing up. Not playing, having friends. The Academy was my life and I wonder at the wisdom of it. But what choice did we really have. Sacrifices had to be made so that other children could grow up.
This is about the only place I can express myself. Keep things casual and don't get too attached.
