_________________________________________________ _________________________________________________ A large figure approached the flickering lights of Stars End, his steps easy and measured as he reached up to unzip the tarnished zipper of his worn leather jacket. A long, striped tail twitched behind him, mindful of the door as they closed. Shaking his head clear of the spell left behind by the evening city's creeping fog, "Well, at least it's better than the snow", the feline decided silently. Glancing about, he headed over to a table nearer the booths.

Not far off from the place the feline man had settled there was a small, but smoky table that held a small riot of alien odds and ends. A bright, Rutian Twi"lek female was amidst the thicket of scoundrels, her long, supple form leant back to balance on the back feet of her chair. There was a card game afoot, and if the grumbling airs directed to the female weren't a clear enough indication of how the game was going, the cocksure smile spread across her exotic features would be.

"Smoo talik" Call it or drop it. I'm in." Said the twi"lek as she eyed the five card sprawl in her hands with a delicate indifference.

The large entrant did not stray near the table, merely moved to shift past it and hold a position by the wall for a few moments. It had been sometime since he'd been to the spaceport her in Rhydin. The place reminded him of Mos Eisley at times, a favored port from older times passed. His gaze slid over those gathered as the feline lifted from his spot on the wall, boots set in motion again as he took an open spot at the bar. Ordering up a drink, the tail at his back gave a flick, ears perked to the sounds of the game.

One matched the description.

The twi"lek at the card table flicked her hand down one by one, the rabble's collective howls and hoots growing louder with each laid up card. Trills echoed from a few of the game's hovering faces; apparently a few side bets had been riding on the game, and the female did not completely disappoint. Reaching in to clasp a few begrudging hands and collect her winnings, she managed to leave the table without incident. Then again, the inactive viroblade strapped to her thigh might have been a large part in discouraging any sore losers.

Hips took a happy sway as the twi"lek wove a path towards the bar, drawing a few brave, lecherous gazes in the process. No doubt the losers took what small, victorious glimpses they could when she leant to the bar; she paid them no mind, merely thumped a hand to the bar, summoning a nearby service bot. "Usual." Was her quick, breezy request. Oceanic eyes gave a curious flick towards the large, feline looking man as he lifted his drink and shifted at the counter.

Catching her gaze, but not moving to meet it, he spoke. "Nice hand. You might have made a few enemies with winning it however." Taking a drink from his glass slowly, his tail continued to sway slowly in the air at his back.

"Arni, blankuna bibfort." Though the words themselves were a bit rough, the tone she delivered them with was obviously joking. "Thanks, clever beast. Do not worry, I never sleep alone." Grinning the twi"lek rolled her shoulders as she reached for her delivered drink, her free hand straying down to give the hilt of her sleeping blade a loving pat pat.

"In these parts" That's a good thing, Blue." Rumbled the feline in return as he glanced aside at her said 'sleeping buddy' on her hip. "Are you really as decent a pilot as I've heard, Nalan' Or have rumors perked higher than your caliber?"

Giving him a second look, Nalan crooked a wider smile as one of her tattooed, hairless brows gave an upwards tick. "Ahh, I was wondering when that Dinek was going to follow up" As for my piloting skills, they cut more quickly than my shark manners at that table over there." Upon the table's mention, she gave an incline of her head towards its general direction, leather braided lekku swaying softly with the motion.

"Good to know, but I have yet to see your skill as such." Said the feline as he lifted his cup for another slow drink. Ears twitched, still keeping tabs on those about. One ear stayed flicked towards the twi"lek while his tail twitched the opposite way. "Been a pilot long" Or a fast learner merely?"

Taking no offense, Nalan paused, giving a slight turn to display a sliver of her fair, lean back. Her tone was light and near chuckling. "Long time fast learner" Necessity dictated wings, and as you can see, I have none and so then took the next closest means." Shifting back to her former lean, the twi"leks gaze returned in its unwavering, passive assessment of her conversation companion. "Since you seem to have my name, I suppose it would not be too much a request for yours?"

"Mathayus Hector Thadeus." His reply came with a nod, and his nod partnered with a lift of his drink from the counter. "Zayveon said you were a bit cocky. What's the capacity of your ship" What can it carry as far as cargo goes?"

Her expression bordered between words of thoughtfulness and that slight arrogance she suited herself in oh so well. "You are the Dinek's man, a being meant to test and further appraise. This one would be a fool to not look confident, mm?" Popping back her shoulders for an indulgent moment, Nalan's expression faded to a quieter one. "As for my pampy, she's a vessel built for spend and stealth. Seats four in the main controls, upper and lower decks, small lounge?" Tipping up what was left of her drink, her grin turned a bit crocodile despite her fond pet name for her ship; her jewel.

?" she originally had two crew quarters, but I had to outfit one for other purposes. Cargo's good for moderate to light. Pretty little acquisition that I've outfitted personally to suite my many needs." At that, up went her slim fingers for a dexterous, almost playful little wiggle.

Mathayus" eyes glanced over Nalan's wiggling digits, lowering his drink back down to the bar. "Zayveon has twenty crates that need to be transported off world. Quick and quiet. They have to arrive at their destination on time without loss" Which docking bat is your ship in?"

"Mm, docked at a cut throat bay master's port not too far from this canteena. Hence the card games." Jerking a thumb to the table that'd started a new game in her absence, Nalan's keen, cerulean eyes held the feline's face, watching the many furred lines carefully. The last bit of his mention didn't sit too well. "Define the term 'without loss', please, Matha"."

Her tongue curbed the end of his name gently, giving him a familiarity in her vocabulary; A first and very small indication that the feline was building the first rungs of trust in the ladder of the twi"leks person. Mathayus glanced past her and then back.

"Mathayus?" He corrected quietly. ?" and each container must reach its destination without a loss of shipment. The loss of even one on this trip is unacceptable."

Not missing a beat, Nalan left the lean of her elbows and offered out her hand for a shake in the short air of space between them. "Pahgan, Matha"." Obviously she meant to strike a bargain, having accepted the terms laid out thus far, and more obviously she was fond of the cut she made to the length of his name. Then again, was it really a surprise considering she'd been calling Zayveon "commander" all night"

Mathayus, "Matha", flicked an ear towards the twi"lek, lifting a fingerless-gloved hand to meet her own in a firm shake. "I'll be traveling with the containers to ensure they reach their destination."

"Naturally." After their shake she retracted her hand; she too bore fingerless gloves. They were made of a similar leather to the kind that wove and wrapped around her lekku, and also bore holes in their knuckles. ?"Though I do hope this journey is not far, as I have said, the ship only holds one cabin, and I do not share too well."

A nod to her made the fine strands of his whiskers twitch as he replied. "I don't need much. Sleep isn't something I go a lot of when working. I'll manage, no bother. Besides, you'll be busy flying most of the time. Route we'll be taking leads through a few obstacles on the way."

"Obstacles eh' Sahak chir is what this one does best, Matha"." A small pat was given once again to that inactive blade. It was more a mindless gesture than a pointed one; it was clear she made many means about her, insinuating her daring more so than the weapon itself. Avoiding death was an art all it's own, and Nalan wanted to make it clear it was in her extensive list of specialties. Turning an eye to the bot behind the bar, she looked back to the feline once more. "A drink for the road perhaps" Or shall we begin the trek to my pampy?"

Mathayus glanced about the bar before turning his eyes and ears back to Nalan. "If you wish to have another drink by all means" I've had my fill for the night though, perhaps. Are you familiar with more than that blade when it comes to defending yourself?" A nod down at her hip.

" I would be a long dead fool if my life's line was laid to one thing, even this prettily enhanced blade of mine. I have plasma rifles and pistols in the ship, as well as other toys. I will give you a" how do they say it' A look-see?" Her laugh was light as she shook her head, making a dismissive gesture towards the bar. "One drink is fine if I am to fly or demonstrate soon."

Nodding, his reply was quick and even. "Very well. Let's see this ship of yours before the containers arrive for loading."

That brought a quiet, thoughtful trill to the twi"leks throat. It wasn't quite a purr really, but a noise more suited to inward musings or amusement. "Mm' So quickly' Ah yes, you did mention the Dinek needing this done promptly." Returning Mathayus's nod she gave a soft thump to the bar before motioning towards the door, her steps light. "And no Matha", the ship is not far."

Turning form the bar, the feline followed suite, his nod light as he followed her. "Mathayus, and yes. The containers need to reach their destination within a certain time frame. They can be delivered and loaded onboard your ship tomorrow if everything checks out?" His voice faded after her as they exited the bar and headed southwards down the foggy streets.

All but flinging herself down with an air lacking any ceremony, Nalan smiled, fingers coiled around the ends of either of the control chair's arms. She looked quite like a queen on her throne, content and confident in the realm of her quaint, eclectic domain. Cerulean hues held the feline man before her in a careful regard; curious as they tried to read the impassive lines of his face for a reaction or decision he'd assumed.

They'd just finished a tour of her vessel you see; from the fat underbelly of her cargo hold, to the engine room, to the crew's quarter rooms that paralleled one another. Well, one of them was toured anyway, and it was not the one that served as her private bunkard. Perhaps he could ignore the slightly territorial manner in which she'd passed over the room' Either way, the second room might prove as the more interesting anyway; it was the room she'd converted into a holding cell and interrogation tank. Irons and innate plasma bonds served as anchors for 'unwilling' passengers or bounties. A few sparse pieces of equipment included nondescript little drawer units that contained various....tools and medical pieces. The arms she'd mentioned had two locations, one being a small lock box in the cockpit and another larger on in the lounge, centerpieced like a big decoration for all it's deadly, glass cased interior pieces of weaponry. The most impressive of it all, no doubt, was the personal craft work she'd done to the ship as a whole to enhance it's already heavily influenced specs; speed, stealth, and quick-cut handling even at the most wicked of speeds.

"So....Matha'. Thoughts" Questions" Concerns?" She drawled quietly.

"Mathayus?" The feline corrected her quietly before continuing.

?"and not bad. It'll do." There came a light nod of his head about them, a twitch of his tail and then a sway behind him. Mathayus removed a small communication device and tapping in a few before tucking it away in his leather jacket.

"Containers on the way. Be here within twenty minutes or less. You are ready to part the port, once the shipment is loaded" Or do you need a bit to get ready as yet?" Eyes glanced about them slowly, returning to her with a tilt of his head to the side. Twitch of an ear.

"My pampy and I are always at the ready, Matha'." Still she refused to use his full name; the twitch of her lips was just barely visible, but it was all that matter would garner admittance to.

Not missing a beat, the Twi'lek turned for a moment, giving Mathayus the back of her chair as deft blue fingers flicked with a maestro's excellence across the lighted keys, bringing up and flashing out various screens pertaining to the speedy little freighter's current status and condition. Tip top, all systems go, a small, proud smile flashed across Nalan's face.

"Please, sit.." She indicated absently to one of the three remaining, empty control chairs.

A perk of a brow, ear flick, boots stepped over to the indicated chair. Lowering into it slowly. "Ready your vessel to receive the containers. We'll leave once loaded and secured." Reaching into a jacket pocket and pulling a data crystal free, tossing it her direction.

"Catch....your route. We'll be heading through and outer system to avoid the main trade routes and possible pirate trouble. It's all there on that data crystal. Along with six codes we can use if patrols run across us and inquire to our purposes." As Mathayus spoke, Nalan mimicked the feline's expression inch for inch with her own brow.

The Twi'lek found herself trilling with amusement again, shaking her head as she caught the crystal with a flourished hand. Like a flash, she brought it to one of the many panels at her fingertips, inserting the geometric bit into the proper outlet. Her eyes flicked across the screen with a too-fast manner, making her seem dizzy instead of astute.

"Mm..." Quite simply, she was speed reading; the screen was almost a strobe as she dropped and drug her way through the information.

"I do enjoy a faction that is so well prepared and assembled....the Dinek chose wisely in you, Matha'." A small compliment; hey, you're not a complete idiot, I like that. Somewhere between scanning the crystal's information and speaking to her unlikely companion, the rutian female had dropped and readied her cargo's back hatch, a small screen in the corner monitoring any comings and goings.

"He helped a dear friend of mine. I'm helping him in return. The Syndicate isn't so bad" fierce, yes, but their cause is well needed. Sometimes you have to be the brute to get the job done and done right. Galaxy is a harsh place. It needs some tough love." A glance over the small screen, a small loading skiff is moving in slowly with droids onboard. They move to load the twenty containers they've brought. His eyes turn back at her after a moment's watch.

"However, not everything needs to be done with a large military force....or frigates and destroyers. Hence, you've a job currently with the Syndicate." He added.

"So....I have been invited to join this big enki, hm?" Back snuck that just-a-touch-ly arrogant lilt of her lips. Flicking her gaze to the screen in question that held the status of the loader's progress, she moved, closing the hatch and giving her ship one last quick status look. A wizard with her mechanics, the twi'lek was soon chuckling and cracking her knuckles; at the ready.

"All right then....time to jettison to the kairn, mm?" The route marked and mapped on the crystal was at the ready as the engines began warming, their hum quiet but powerful.

A glance to the small screen and the hatch closing before nodding back to her as she started up the engines. "Invited" Not yet. Consider this your ....'interview' of sorts. You do well and sell yourself and you might be asked to stick around for further work. Let's be off, Blue." Nodding to her as he shifted back into the chair. his tail snaked out at his left. Ears flicked about as clawed fingertips tapped at his thigh quietly.

"Let's see how you navigate the traffic out of the system first. You have a twenty-five minute window. A diversion will gather attention and leave departing transports from the port here planet side" to move freely without eyes on them." Just as Mathayus would finished the word 'them', the feline would feel a sudden, soft jolt from his navel onwards. The ship had launched without so much as a flicker of warning.

A few things happened in quick succession; the first being the ship's launch, the second then was a rippling, humming status overtaking the speedy ship. It'd phased to a cloaked state, leaving it invisible not only to the naked eye and ship's scanning waves, but to most radar. There was a gauge in another corner of her operations that quavered at an even stream, showing the cloak's status. The third thing that happened was that her fingers now commanded a pair of dual handles as well as the control's keys.

"....Twenty is all this one would need, Matha', the location isn't as far as I anticipated. Pampy can make the distance easily, the stealth will only slow her a fraction." The Twi'lek was all work an no play for a few moments as she settled herself into a master-of-their-craft-status.

Mathayus" glance about was slow and quiet, as the ship moved. Eyes as well as ears turned back at her in her chair by the controls then.

"Good to hear. Once you leave the system, watch for a pair of asteroid belts. Stick close...but not too close. We don't want a bump from any of them now do we?" A shift back in the chair, his tail sliding out again at the side in a flicker in the air with a mind of it's own.

"I see them ahead..." Ahead meaning, the upcoming stretch; her radar reached a great deal further than most, though it hadn't without a week's worth of mind strangling custom work full of countless trials and errors.

Sparing a hand from her quick work, Nalan reached up to flick down the glossy, eye encompassing sheen of her goggles; they too were clever pieces of work. They linked to her ship through a series of carefully crafted receptors along the outer ridges of the thick frames. If one thought the twi'lek's eyes were large and shining before, they were downright boogly now, blinking a moment as they adjusted to the switch. Hurtling towards the parallel fields of rocky bits and pieces, Nalan gave a contemplative trill low and warbling in the back of her throat.

"Nice neighborhood....Was this intentional or coincidental for me and my pampy's trial?" She murmured over the edge of her shoulder, eyes trained through those thick goggles as she began an intricate weave through the treacherous fields.

"Life is a test, the sooner people realize that the sooner they can move on in life more easily. Not everyone is perfect. The Syndicate isn't looking for perfect people. They recognize that imperfections make people unique and also give them skills other may not hold." A flick of his tail out to the side as he shifted in the chair, eyes glanced over the various read outs, consoles, and such in the cockpit. Her vessel's long range scanners may start to detect something far out, but closing quick.

"Ah, ah, aah, wrong. Life is not a test, but a quest." She countered with a soft laugh.

Like a maestro at work with his orchestra, Nalan's hands held the same ethereal fluidness to them with her ship's seemingly endless controls. Hearing the alert beneath her flight companion's words, the Twi'lek canted her head, ticking up a brow behind those thick goggles, boogly eyes narrowing in a rather animated manner due to the distortion of her headgear.

"Frotz....As if on cue, Matha'. What in the Sith is that?" Her attention diverted a portion of itself to the quick closing figure on her monitors, lips twisted and lush from chewing quietly on themselves.

As the 'dot' would grow closer, suddenly it turned into three dots, as if they'd been flying in close quarters prevsiously to hide their numbers. a communication was sent...

"This is the System Authority Patrol. Slow your vessel and move clear of the asteroid belt's proximity. Prepare for a 'routine' boarding and inspection." The voice perked at Mathayus' feline ears, making him sit up a bit in his chair in her cockpit.

"That is....not the System Authority. They don't patrol in three's." Rumbled Nalan's companion.

"Psshah. As if I would care whether or not they were who they say they are....No one touches myself or my pampy unless they have properly paid respects." Something in the sultry undercurl of her voice and the shift at her hips as she readjusted herself in her seat hinted that she wasn't exactly speaking of strict....etiquette. Something in her grin turned from cocky to fierce as the Twi'lek curled her slender hands around a pair of thick levers as one might a bed mate's limbs. Instead, her gentleness turned sharp as she jerked them both back and a distant, ominous sound began to whirr to life in some extrasolar part of her ship. "Ooh Matha', you might want to hold on." As she spoke, Mathayus sent a nod over at her, with a curious glance.

Shifting in seat back into its confines as his hand lowered to a side. Ears perked as his tail twitched in the air lightly. The three vessels closed the distance quicker as if increasing speed. If her vessel held sensor equipment to catch weapon systems, she'd note the three closing vessels had their weapon systems active. As the ships drew in closer, they in fact were not System Authority craft, but smaller, gunboat class vessels holding crews of maybe four to five.

" This shipment, cannot be captured." He reminded her in his deep, steady voice.

"This shipment and us with it are aayla.....Smoke!" Like any good scoundrel, Nalan did not come without her slippery tricks.

That dull, growing sound in the bowels of her ship had quickly become an undeniable roar. There was a moment of complete silence, as if the vessel itself had become a ripple in space's black nothingness. And then....Then there was a violent, thrusting burst of power.

Nalan's pampy hurled itself at a level just par beneath that of a true jump. It was the goggles flare and intense dynamics that helped her navigate at such a ludicrous speed. Dots, asteroid belt; what dots and asteroid belt' The only thing louder than the ship's deafening thunder of speed was the twi'leks wild, delighted shriek; then again, the whole of the ship was vibrating.

"Tell me when the light there beside you is yellow!" Five, four, three, two....It would be his call for 'one'. Mathayus" brow perked, his eyes to the light.

"It's yellow....now." As the tiger spoke the word now, the twi'lek shouted. "Go!" Noting the sounds the ship made as she worked her magic, his grip tightened some on the chair's side as his tail lowered out to the side. Every ship made it's own distinct sounds and noises. He'd been on cruisers, destroyers, transports, and various other classes of fighters.

"I trust you'll keep us clear of becoming a mess on one of the asteroids?" He called over the noise.

A series of pressured released kicked in from a control line down the far left out of reach; a switch underneath the thick soled heel of a boot had been snapped down on. The hissing released a series of lights to chime and flick to life as the world around them became less a twirling blur and more a solid, albeit still speedy mass of shapes and deep space. The monitor, now going less haywire, a distant, calm blip was on the screen. Their destination was coming close, and their speed was severely lessened, near back to normal actually. But oh where had those dots gone" Perhaps that lurching jolt of speed had also been timed with a back hatch drop of decoy crates fitted with explosives" Who could tell" Nalan certainly wouldn't. She wasted no expense when keeping her own hide intact.

As the vibration softened down to nothing, the Twi'lek slowly began lifting up her goggles, easing of the vessel's throttle with a long, proud sigh.

"There now....I do believe we're a few notes early, Matha'." Leaning back, she even dared to give her back an arcing crack; lips pursing as she heard joints and muscles alike groan with contentment

Mathayus glanced about the cockpit, then a slow nod over at the Twi'lek as he shifted in his chair and released his clawed grip from the edge of the chair.

"Not bad....Nalan. Seems you've lost our 'tail' and avoided an interview with an asteroid crash. I'll be sure to make note in my report to The Syndicate." He slid out a comm link from his leather jacket to check the time, tucking it back away after a nod of his head and flick of his tail to the side.

"Good on time. Perhaps you've a spot among the other pilots."

"Ahh, circoo, circoo Matha'....We have not yet docked, you might still have marks to take off of my test score." The grin and tone she bore was slanted enough to understand she was joking, but they way her body tensed a bit hinted that it was less a joke and more a reality. Landing was her vice....It could be rocky at times if she wasn't careful. Don't ask the twi'lek why, there could very well be a coincidental, psycho analytical reason for that. Or....She just sucked at landing. Either way, as she slowed their progress further for the upcoming loom of their destination, Nalan cleared her throat, pausing to toss the goggles out atop a lesser panel of controls near her hip.

"Should I hold on?" He asked as they drew nearer a seemingly simple space station with multiple internal docking bays for transports.

"Nalan, you damange the cargo at being so close to the end and I'll take it out on you myself." Landing lights lit in one of the internal docking hangers leading the way into the station. Clearance would be heard over the communication system by someone on the station.

Hearing the go ahead come in through the crystal clear ripples of her com, Nalan gave a slight twist on the edge of her seat, a quiet, amused noise in the back of her throat despite her earlier musing. Her shoulders were still tense, but her tone was ever-cocky. "I would not dream of it Matha'..."

As the saying goes, but she could not help but think quietly to herself but that does not mean I couldn't have nightmares about it. Shaking the familiar nerves off, the twi'lek felt a shiver travel up the length of her lekku without mercy. Teeth bared, eyes narrowed, she eased herself and her beloved pampy as smoothly as possible in through those internal dock's wide doors.

"Aha!" Those cerulean hues adjusted to the light change almost immediately; near glowing as the ship gave the end of the dock a little, groaning love tap. Jostled, Nalan gave a happy hoot.

Moving to stand from his seat as they came to a stop, Mathayus took a glance about and a nod to her as his tail swayed behind him lightly in the air. "Not bad" though perhaps next time you won't need the entire dock to come to a stop" Let's get to seeing the cargo unloading and see if there is anything for our return trip to pass along. Careful, Nalan, you might have a future job."

A flick of his tail behind him. Unzipping his leather jacket as he walked through the spaceport. Ears twitched in movement left, right and about as he picked up various conversations of those he passed. The Twi'lek had proven herself handy as a pilot and well with handling her ship in a quick getaway. He'd made his report up the chain and now held new plans laid out for the next order of business. Nothing that needed to be rushed currently, so he'd take his time to trek back to the docking bay where Nalan would be no doubt with her ship. Or nearby in a bar playing a card game.

In Rhydin's city over the mountains some gave a glance at the DL-44 heavy blaster pistol upon the leather holster at his thigh. Here in the Star's End Spaceport however, seeing blaster pistols was a common thing apposed to that of people walking around with swords or axes at their backs. The tall Tygirian Tigris had found a path with The Syndicate and the money wasn't bad either. Everyone needed a place to belong, a place to do some good, as his friend Amadeus Qudamah had told him on several occasions. He'd been long ago given the offer from The Lysandros Syndicate's head and given the good he'd been allowed to do already in the past year...well...why give pause to a good thing? He may not agree with all the tactics and plans of the syndicate but those like him doing the better deed was all that mattered to him. The greater good, as they called it. Lives had been saved due to his actions and others with similar tasks as he held. Perhaps one day he'd Captain one of the strike cruisers of the Syndicate, but for now he was content in his current duties. Having the Twi'lek, Nalan, pilot him around the stars and back again was fine and well for him. Gave him plenty of time to consider and plan out their tasks, along with him actually having time to get some sleep while they were in flight among the systems. Leaving the piloting, navigating and ship repairs to her while he handled the meat and potatoes of the mission objectives, so to speak. The data crystal in his pocket held details and possible routes for their next objective, mission. An interesting cargo indeed they'd be picking up this time. Valuable beyond gems or gold.

The man fell back to the floor as the large, slightly furry, hand met with his face. A shake of head from Mathayus as his tail swept behind him. Gazing downward over the man with a tsking sound perking from him. "You're not listening, Issac. I said you're fired, let go, services no longer required by the Organization. Now if you continue to protest you'll no doubt only end up upon the floor once more."

The man wiped a bit of blood from his lip as he stood. "I'm owed for my time." Mathayus shook his head as those feline ears twitched. "You were paid more then enough for your services. Don't get greedy, Issac. Take what you've acquired and go enjoy a happy life somewhere." "I had another six months of being paid." "Plans changed, Issac." "What if I say they don't change" What if I say they stay as were agreed upon for another six months?" Mathayus shook his head as his tail swung out at right side, while a sleek cylinder slid into his left hand from his belt. "Don't do it, Issac. You have credits and your life. Simply walk on and enjoy another day." Issac's hand lowered toward the blaster pistol at his hip. Eyes remained upon the tall feline as they narrowed in thought. "Maybe you're not as fast, as I hear, feline. Maybe like so many it's just a rumor to keep others on edge and from challenging you."

As the blaster slid from it's holster, that unmistakable sound of a light saber coming to life could be heard. Issac did manage a shot off. Deflected by the energy blade of the light saber it would impact to a table at the right of them before Issac had a brief moment to see the error of his mistake. Back upon the flooring, Issac's body laid lifeless as the saber was deactivated by Mathayus. "Some rumors, shouldn't be taken lightly."
