Tabitha sat outside, curled up on the shore of the lake by Toby's cabin. The summer breeze tossed her raven waves all about as she bent over a little book, with a cover that gleamed like sapphires. On the front was an image of a grey wolf howling, the moon full and low in the night sky. Finally, she had a place to collect her thoughts - and her new pen stratched across the parchment pages..
It's been over two months now since I've been back here - back home. The changes - I still find myself wanting to wake up, like it all has to be a dream.. then I look at my hip, and I know it's real, wonderfully real.
I haven't ventured back to the city proper since Jewell's wedding - oh what an event that was. I remembered seeing her before the storm took me and Perrin away - but she was even more beautiful than my memory. The emotions - they almost were too much for me. So many people in one place - all the raw feelings, and Toby knew even before I did that I was struggling, so he shielded me, so all I felt was him - his feelings, and I was able to stay until the reception. He's a divine dancer, and we continued our dance well after we got home.
"Home" - that's a word I never thought I'd use again. But I know now, that RhyDin is home, that it always was home - and that it always will be home, no matter where our travels take us. Soon, I'll be taking the test to earn my credentials to fly into the far reaches of space - and I can't wait. A whole universe awaits us..
