The Duel of Fists is a matrix based duelling game. Which means that it works a lot like the game "Paper, Scissors, Rock". Each player chooses a move from the list of Valid Moves and sends them to the referee (usually named RDI something) via IM (Immediate Message). The Ref compares the moves on his matrix and then announces the results.

The list of Valid Moves include: Jab, UpperCut, Chop, Hook, JumpKick, SnapKick, SpinKick, LegSweep, ArmBlock, LegBlock, Duck, Dodge, Leap, and Flip.

Once the referee has called the round, the duellers IM their next move to the RDI, and so on and so on. Your move will earn a HIT, MISS, or ADVANTAGE. A HIT is worth 1 point, a MISS 0 points, and if you get two consecutive ADVANTAGES you get 1 point.

The Duel is to 5 Points or 15 rounds. The first dueller to score 5 Points wins! If the duel goes to 15 rounds, the player with the highest score wins! If the score is tied, the duel is ruled a tie.

Remember, you can only use ONE move per round AND you can''t use the same move twice in a row!

Also, it's very helpful to the referee, (the RDI usually) if you preface your move with the number of the round. For example: 1) Chop or 2) SnapKick.

For more information, the Complete Rules for the Duel of Fists can be found at Keyword FFGF, under News & Information, under Game Information Center. The Complete Rules include "Modifiers" like Feint and Fancy that can be added to your moves when you have gone up in rank. Rank, and how to improve it, is explained in the Complete Rules.

If ya' have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! :)
