"Ya gotta love our town." She said with a happy smile lifting the bottle they found on the office door step and looking at it.

Some rare vintage that neither of them knew where it came from. All the message said was "Congratulations." Probably in reference to them finishing the remodel of the yards.

"I do." He kissed her gently. "I saw ya talking to Bob and Ed earlier." she said with a smile as they walked into the house. "Yeah." Tristan laughed a little. "Funny guys." "Yes they are." Aja said with a grin as they headed into the den. "They know a lot about you." Tristan started conversationally. "Seem to watch you like you're their favorite program." "They're like Mami. Nosy." "Also overly helpful." He stopped near the couch watching her. "Telling me about you. Who you are now." "Ah." she said and then looked over at the thoughtful expression Tristan had. "What were they telling you?" "Just about your habits. What you like to eat." he took the bottle and lifted it. "Drink. What you do during the day. That kind of thing." "They just look out fer me." she gave him a soft smile. "But I was kinda hoping to learn some stuff about you from you." "That's minor stuff." She smiled and kissed him. He put his arm around her and pulled her close. "Nothing about you is minor." He leaned down and kissed her gently. Aja held him close, melting into the kiss. When they pulled back she exhaled.

"Ya really should have someone who knows CPR around if yer going to kiss me like that." She was looking up at him, with a soft smile on her face. "Oh?" "Heart stopping." She grinned and took the bottle. "Well. Take yer coat off. Stay a while." She set the wine down on the coffee table and went to the bar, then came back out with a couple glasses and the corkscrew.

"Aja, you are a complex woman." He started as he sat down. "I've always enjoyed trying to figure out what makes you tick." "You mean other than the bombs I put together to blow stuff up with?" she grinned and took a seat next to him. "Yes." he kissed her head, taking the corkscrew from her hand, then picking up the bottle. "But, I've always liked pushing your buttons." "Just to see what happens?" Aja watched him as he worked the corkscrew. "Sometimes." he pulled the cork from the bottle, then poured two glasses. "Things that used to set you off, no longer do."

"You saying I've grown up?" "Mellowed out." he grinned when she made a face at him. "You have changed a lot of how you react to things." he mused. "You used to have a lightning quick temper, but I've see you, now. You think before taking any sort of action." "Have to. There is a lot to consider." she took the glass he offered. "I had a people to look after. A legacy to protect." "A legacy?" "Yers."

"You know it was nothing you had to do." "Yes it was." she looked at him seriously. "Tristan." she took his hand. "My whole life. There's only been one person that I've ever been so in love with that it's hard to breathe when they're around." she smiled a little embarrassed to be revealing that. "And that person is you."

"I've never doubted your love for me." "I don't see how ya do that." she looked troubled by that confession, which was clear by the way her voice raised. "I'm not good with all the mushy lovey crap, Tris." she sighed and fidgeted. "I'm not that foo foo girl. What I know how to do is make things happen. So I did..." she waved her hand towards the yards and Arcadia. "That. I ..." she started and Tristan cut her off.

"Created the most extravagant love letter of all time?" Tristan smiled as she rolled her eyes and buried her face into his shoulder. "I'm never hearing the end of it, am I?" came the muffled question.

"Nope." he chuckled and she sat up making a face at him. "I dislike you." she said in that sarcastic tone he was starting to know so well. "No you don't." "Considering dropping you off the balcony." "No you're not." he moved closer hugging her close to him as he kissed her head. "Alright. But I'm gonna make faces at you fer at least an hour." "That's fine. You be however you have to be." Tristan let her loose so he could look at her. "I'm a very patient man, don't you know." "Yer a pain in the arse." she cracked a smile. "You love me, and I'm your pain in the arse" He smirked down at her.

There was a routine Tristan and Aja fell into. He had to gently nudge her to it, as she had her own routines. He'd watched her for a couple weeks, to figure out what exactly it was she did during a "normal" day. Not that he'd ever seen her have a normal day yet.

She did so many different things during the day that it was difficult to keep track of her. One day, he followed her as she made her rounds. First, every shop in town. Then she went by the Orphanage. She took a trip to Arcasa and checked in on the spa and resort, then looped around to go into RhyDin City.

If she knew he was following her, she didn't let on. He couldn't imagine that she didn't know he was there. Aja always seemed to know what was going on around her as she went through her day. Even now. It was less noticeable but small clues were there that suggested her habit of keeping watch, hadn't changed, just evolved.

It amazed him how much she truly did during a day. Once in RhyDin City, she went by the docks spoke to a few captains. Dropped by a silversmith. Then by an herbalist, presumably for Parker. All the other places she went, he didn't know why, but he saw her checking off a list each time she came out of a shop. So, she obviously had some sort of plan.

It was getting dark when she headed for the Inn. He smiled and followed her into the place she obviously went to everyday. If this was her routine, he'd just have to make an effort to be a part of it.
