With so many projects going on in Arcadia, some could easily forget that her core business was repairing and building ships. Aja never forgot, it was often her first priority of the day. She"d go down and see which ships were in port, check on the progress of ones being built. This particular morning found Captain Hook on her docks and it sounded like he was in a big hurry to get back underway given how he was harassing her port master.

She'd had her run ins with the man over the years. They were always mostly civil with each other. That didn't mean there wasn't a fair amount of teasing that would go on between the two captains. The man was a flirt.

"Hook, you're a punk. Today, tomorrow, next week." Aja said as she passed him. "Don"t be botherin mah men or I'll change yer religion."

"Don't toy with me, Bird." he said with a smirk as he followed her. "Ya know ya turn me me on."

"A stiff breeze turns ya on, Hook." Aja called back over her shoulder. "What is it that you need?"

"Safe port. Resupply of my ship."

"The resupply and port are no problem. Ya know dat." she told him stopping in front of his ship. "Ya need some repairs. Ya took cannon fire not long ago, aye?"

"That I did." he watched her inspect his ship. The Jolly Roger had seen much in recent days.

"Not so healthy fer da old gal, ya know." Aja said while leaning over the dock to view the waterline. "And dat hole there, needs better dan yer piss poor patch job."

"Ya ever tire of sassin me, Bird?" he asked as she righted herself smiling at him.

"No." she moved along the docks. "I find it quite entertainin." she stopped, made a note of another hole. "Dis is gonna have ta come outta da water, Hook."

"We need ta be underway soon."

"Yer gonna be underwater if ya don"t get dis fixed right." she said and kept looking over the ship. "Don"t imagine it would be benefical fer yer time schedule if dat happened." she turned. "Mah boys will be as quick as dey can about it, but ya either fix it now or become shark bait. Ya prefer which option?"

"Fine. Fine." he said agitated. "We'll do it yer way." he gave in begrudgingly and she patted his cheek.

"Dat"s a good lad." grabbing the walkie from the nearby foreman, she switched it to speaker and gave the order. "Jolly Roger ta da dry dock immediately." she handed back the walkie and gave a look to the foreman. "I trust yer gonna be on top of dat."

"Aye aye Captain." the man moved quickly as the rest of the dock crew came to hook the ship to the crane that would take it from the water to the repair bay.

"Yer men always do whut ya ask without question?"

"They do." Aja said while they moved back out of the way of the work going on. "Same of yer crew I suspect."

"Most days." he admitted.

"As long as yer lot behave themselves in town, dey"ll be fine." Aja warned him. "If not, dey will seein da inside of me brig." she paused and looked back to Hook. "or worse."

"What's worse dan da brig?"

"Da volcano, Hook. Da volcano." she warned as she wandered back to her office.

"Volcano." Hook mused as he turned back to look at his ship being hauled overhead. "Now why doesn't dat surprise me?"
