Cicerone

Date: 2009-02-04 11:54 EST
Cicerone, or Cici, had only been in town a couple of days. If she told you why she was, it might have seemed a bit like a twelve year-old with a rambling story. Currently she'd rented a room at the inn, but today instead of lingering around the inn all day, she laced up her sandals and went for a walk in the marketplace.

The thing about Cici was this— she was just a human, but she was one of several children who were born to a Seer family. That's right, people who saw the future and told you all about it. Now they had named her Cicerone because she didn't show an aptitude for prediction, but instead insight and guidance. Like the others of her family, the physical items they repeatedly connected to wwere, in some way, part of them. That meant the jewelry Cici wore had, by connection to her, the ability to inflict something upon a different person wearing it. Like she inadvertently enchanted item. Cici was terrible at, well, wearing lots and lots of jewelry and always looked out for the next weird, interesting thing to wear. The biggest consideration she had for what the "enchantment" she did on an item was to be careful, and very conscious, of giving or leaving behind her personal items.

She wore three long necklaces, dangling ear rings and four bracelets. Jewelry was great. It didn't have to be expensive, but a certain quality was necessary. Her hazel gaze was always on the lookout for something interesting. When she came by the shop, the windows drew in her attention and she viewed it with a long, pleasant smile. Oh man, this guy had all sorts of interesting things!! She could really spend her money here. As she came to the entrance she saw something that she was immediately draw to— the bone necklace! Oh, wow, it was perfect! She didn't have a single necklace like that one (if you could believe it). She smiled at the man, picking up the necklace and looking at him.

"Hey, how much would you want for this?"
