The recent storm that hit Rhydin was felt by most of the neighbors around Sean's cottage. Most were farmers and a few well to do families that wanted some fresher air. Sean spent most of his night inside the cottage and dealing with a dozen leaks in the roof. The following morning he was patching the roof and saw to his dismay severe flooding of the fields.

Hazels would wince seeing that sight. He knew the families would be in dire straights with the crops flooded and animals killed. He could see the bloating bodies of a cow and a few old plow horses in the fields. Then he saw the families out in the muddy fields trying to pull out some mired cattle. Scrambling down the roof and into the cottage he grabbed a pack of supplies and waded out to the fields to help move the cows. The farmers were grateful to see a man of Animal Field helping.

But Sean's help didn't stop there. Soon the farmers pets, and other livestock were in need of help. At the end of a long muddy day he patted several farmers on the back and told them to tell everyone that if an animal is in need, bring them to the Ark in Rhydin. He's Veterinary Clinic was just bought and arranged when the storm hit. Now it was time to work.

((ARK stands for Animals of Rhydins Kingdom.))

The last three days were busy. He had a steady stream of farmers bringing in pets that were caught in the storm. Most though were asking for house calls for Sean to check their herds. A few just came in to see the new Vet in town. Sean just grinned when they came around. He loved to talk with the farmers. Vet's and farmers often enjoy a good relationship.

When he wasn't busy with clients, he was taking time figuring out the puppy he rescued from the Red Dragon Inn's basement. He still shuddered thinking about that basement and the zombies he ran into. The pup, a Pembroke Corgi, male, about 6 months old, was quite fluffy for his breed. Sean named him Tribble, and Tribble was always with Sean in his jacket or coat. What amused Sean was the fact that Tribble let out a sonic bark once when a lady tried to touch him. That made him curious now.

But for now, he was tending to animals and making farm calls. Tribble was a great companion indeed.
