"Morning, Brian."

"Morning, Christine. Damn it's busy out there today. A nice change of pace from last year, yeah?"

"Well, some of the Terran....the earthers as they sometimes like to be called" I heard many call today "Black Friday", but for the life of me, I can't seem to understand why. But I've heard it has something to do with heavy sales for business post-Thanksgiving and with the sharp increase in arrivals stemming from Earth, I am told many of the shop keepers have adopted this measure."

"So that's why we have so many 'sigh holding dancers" roaming the streets out there today' Well, it makes sense. I mean, we have gods know what else from Earth, honestly I am surprised it didn't take hold sooner. I saw a few requests for part time jobs, and passed them along. I just had no idea, what exactly a lot of it was for, but it all seems to have worked out. People have some work, and a bit of coin too. It's better than committing crimes, despite popular belief."

"Is that from personal experience" Do I dare say that Brian Ravenlock would stand before a toy store garbed as a tin man, dancing with a sign in hand?"

His back had been to her, as he was himself pouring a cup of coffee. That question of hers, caused him to pause in mid pour. "If the need was great enough, you bet your @$% that'd I'd do that, and then some."

The tone of his voice, carried little jest and Christine Westbury knew it. She didn't offer a reply, option instead to let his answer hang a bit as an accompanist to the rather awkward silence between the pair.

The silence carried for a bit longer, as Brian resumed his pouring. He turned to face Christine, flashing her a quick wink and smile as he then took a slow sip. "You know there's nothing I wouldn't do for our family, not to mention——"

Another sip was then taken, "Not to mention, I am the same man that once wore a corset and stockings for a bag of Jade's muffins, am I not?"

He left it at that, and simply passed Christine, making for his office. Rounding the corner, he began to open the door and was stopped by what sounded to be? laughter"

Yes, laughter and not that regular sort of laugh one gets from time to time, or that rather sarcastic laugh that one would hear if they said something rather obvious, not to mention stupid. No, this was something much akin to that of a child that possibly saw or heard the funniest of things.

A brow raised, as Brian remained there at the door listening to Christine simply losing it. This lasted for about a minute or so, and then—- it stopped. I mean it stopped suddenly, with no ebbing what so ever. Like a truck slamming into a wall, it stopped. Smiling faintly, Brian nodded to himself and opened that door, making his way into the office.

He took a quick glance around, setting the coffee on his desk with one hand as he scooped up a folder with another. The folder was opened, as he began to peruse the contents. "Marketplace Yule Decorating Operations : 2014" Very nice, so lessee?"

A rapping sound from the doorway, took his attention as he looked up to see Christine standing there. Noting her face still somewhat reddened, he began to chuckle and was quickly cut off by the clearing of the woman's throat. "Brian' I will say this once. What you heard" You didn't."

Nodding slowly, Brian looked to Christine more so. His expression becoming rather seriously, as he replied. "Agreed, I did not hear anything at all" But know this, Christine Westbury?"

"Know what, Brian Ravenlock?" The woman taking a more serious expression in turn.

"Know that I did in fact give a lap dance to one Norse woman, while wearing that corset in a crowded Inn for those muffins and they were some of the best muffins I have ever had, corset be damned. More so, know I have no regrets for any of it."

"Shy"it's true!" I thought that was a lie."

"Not at all" I'm sure it's been embellished over the years. Some say I was younger and needed the money. Others state I was in law school and was lap dancing while cross dressed to make tuition, and I also heard a few say that I rather enjoyed he cross dressing and still do so to this day. Personally, none of that is true, save the I was younger part. The simple fact was that I stated I would do anything for a bag of those muffins, and someone called my bluff" namely my own sister Wyheree, and Rosie O"Dell."

Brian shrugged softly, "I did feel a bit sexy if you must know?"

????".." Christine stood there, unable to find the words.

And then"

The woman erupted in a fit loud laughter, which had been even more outrageous than the first fit she had. This lasted for say—- about 45 seconds or so, and then she suddenly ceased, her eyed leveled at Brian in a rather disapproving manner.

"That's twice today?"

Looking rather surprised, Brian nodded with a reply. "Twice today that I did not see or hear anything."

Seems like that's what the older woman had been looking for, as she eased that demeanor of hers. "Very good." She turned and headed out, "Only you, little lording, on you?"

He watched her leave, letting out a sigh of relief. "That was close?"

His eyes panned back to the folder once more.

Monday, the 1st

It was an early morning for the Marketplace Chamber of Commerce staff and volunteers, as they began to assemble in the center of the Marketplace, near the grand fountain, numbering about two dozen or so.

Coffee, and pastries were passed about and taken in quite happily, as the gathered began to talk among themselves for a bit, while equipment and gear was being sorted by Brian, Jenai and the twins (It was a non Union gig, so they got in on a technicality) and a few others.

Soon after, a trio of small cherry picker styled pick up trucks arrived courtesy of Mister Joe Dragonclaw Shadetree, staffed by some of his best.

The arrival of the trucks signaled to the gathered that business was about to pick up, and yes the pun was intended, folks. So that being said, Brian addressed the gathered and tasks were assigned, and passed out.

Phelix and his crew would handle the electrical junctions, and heavy grade wiring, along with weather-proofing the equipment as well. The twins had their own crew of kids, and were tasked with the gift wrapping the post boxes and poles around the marketplace itself, with Ursilda as their 'supervisor'. A few of Jenai's 'CoS' were on hand as well to assist with the decorations for the stage which would be built by some of Phelix's team, while the rest handled the Light Pole decorating around the marketplace district.

So off to work they went on Stage 1 of the Marketplace Yule Decorations Operations 2014, or the MYDO (My-Do) as it was called by the twins.
