The robed figure approached the podium as he had been doing so many times before in recent weeks. News agencies arrived on time, and all camera's and recording devices were poised in his direction, all eager to hear what he finally had to say.

"My fellow Citizens, I bid you a good evening." His voice was calm as he started to speak, yet there was a passion in his voice. There were lingering questions, and he needed to address them.

"I would like to first apologize for the volley of propaganda that you may have been reading about lately, in light of the recent elections. I stand before you today to clarify these accusations. "Allow me to introduce you to a smear campaign. The posters you see, the letters you are reading, that are hostile in nature is the purest example of smear tactics. This is a tool that is used by individuals to damage the reputations of another person for their own self-gain. It is an act of severe desperation. The polls have spoken for themselves, and this alone has sent chills through the criminal underworld, and it is leading to dishonorable tactics" such as this. "In the first statement of the letter you read, from the one known as Bob, he immediately describes himself as a Super Villain. A Super Villain, by definition is a variant of the villain character type; Super Villains typically concoct complex and ambitious schemes to accumulate power. They are often used as foils to heroes. Many super villains share some typical characteristics of dictators, mobsters, and terrorists and often have aspirations of world domination or universal leadership. "That, in itself, practically voids the entire letter that he continued forthwith. This is obviously a deliberate scheme, with personal intentions involved, no matter what he tries to claim afterwards. But, to allow everyone to make an informed decision, I will continue with the following: "Many individuals fear change, especially those that egotistically refer to themselves as Super Villains. Criminals, masterminds, and those that wish to bring harm to this city are quickly realizing that I am in fact a threat; a threat to their plans. I have the best intentions of the city in my heart, I look forward to being able to work alongside my fellow citizens to initiate reform to raise the quality of life, and safety, for all those that live inside the political jurisdiction. "I would like to further enlighten you on where I am from, since apparently there are still those that attempt to sway you otherwise. I come from an Organization known as the Federation Starfleet. It is an interplanetary exploration organization that also serves as a means of defense for its territory and citizens. That organization is a tool to the United Federation of Planets, an interstellar society consisting of over one hundred and fifty planets, across eight thousand light years. "To bring this all into relative terms, think of the City Guard and our government. Starfleet serve as a means of protection, and investigation, while keeping peace and order throughout the city walls, while the United Federation of Planets is the government which uses them. "One does not become an Admiral overnight. For many years I have served with that organization, and had to climb the standard military ranks through a variety of exams, accomplishments and personal development. Obviously one that does not know how to follow instructions cannot possibly attain a prestigious honor such as Admiralty. As an Admiral, I served as an ambassador of freedom. Exploring strange new worlds, and seeking out new life, so that all planets can work together in universal harmony. "The Prime directive has also been brought to the table. This is also known as Starfleet's General Order #1. It is the most prominent guiding principle of the United Federation of Planets. The Prime Directive dictates that there can be no interference with the internal affairs of other civilizations that have yet to achieve interplanetary travel, by means of Warp Drive. "Rhy'Din is a wonderful mixture of many societies, ranging from those that set sail by wooden ship and traverse the countryside on horseback, to those that travel to and from the stars. Rhy'Din, the planet, is a centralized point in the multiverse. It is rich with the outside influences of thousands, if not millions of races from all walks of life. This planet serves as an interstellar trading port both on the surface as well as in space. This prime directive that Bob so' incompetently brought up does not have any bearing in this matter. Citizens of Rhy'Din have interplanetary travel at their fingertips, they have had this ability for quite some time, and Rhy'Din is known for is exceptional ability as an interstellar trading point. "I do not wish to serve as your next official as a Starfleet representative. I wish to serve the people as a citizen, one that has been a part of your society for quite some time. I have served on the City Guard for quite some time now, and the Coalition that is continually brought up, is merely a Neighborhood watch comprised of concerned citizens. These people are exceptionally gifted, with a variety of talents, and are from all races, colors and creeds. Do not allow the lies of a criminal to sway your judgment otherwise. "My estate, that has been previously mentioned as open to everyone, is well guarded" yes. This is for the personal protection of those that stay at my home, including myself, from people just like Bob. The man that addresses you today, as a concerned citizen has a littered past of treacherous and murderous acts, including direct threats on my life. Bob has, in the past hired assassins, placed bounties on my head, all of which have failed. He is attempting another assassination now as we speak, right before your very eyes: A Character assassination. "Bob is a criminal, and the threat of having an active governor is a threat to him personally. He is a madman, and a liar. For him to come to you in such a manner is a direct slap in the face to each and every one of you. He believes that you are too na've to see through his plot. By spewing fallacies he is directly trying to prevent freedom and justice from prevailing. "Bob, I say this to you. Please review your questions before bothering to ask them. I have already answered such questions on equality for all citizens, and attempts to call my autonym a pseudonym. "I am for the equality of all citizens. It doesn't matter what classification they are. Elf, Human, Orc, Vampire, Werewolf, Fae? whatever the citizens of our city classify themselves as, they deserve complete equality. "I would like to take a moment to thank my fellow candidates. In light of such despicable acts, I am very proud to say that we all have taken a very distinguished and honorable stance towards one others campaign. I feel honored and privileged to be in the company of these esteemed individuals, and I thank them. "Again, I thank you for lending me your ears on such a topic. I understand that becoming a political figurehead means that there is a tough road ahead. Slander, misdirection, and outright lies are bound to come my way. My resolve has never been stronger, and my goal to becoming your next governor of a free society is unwavering. We will not falter, and we will not fail. As long as there are those who wish freedom to prevail, I will be standing alongside you. "Good evening and thank you."

Folding up the paperwork that he had, he finally allowed a smile to come to his face. Wolvinator raised his hand while departing, waving to those that gathered to hear his speech, before slipping off into the night.

A short message is displayed after the press conference:

No such thing as honor. There's a victor; And there's a corpse. Paid for by the citizens against Wolvinator.

There was a blink as Ren glanced up at the little after show. Snorting she folded her arms and leaned back. With a kick of her foot she had pushed a switch.

Sparklers were set off as she stood there. Grinning a sign unrolled over the little bit. Ren drummed her fingers as she read the sign.

Wolvie's the man! He can do it, Yes he can!

Snickering she shook her head and turned to follow her best friend out of the room.

***Boudicca had come to listen to Wolvie give his speech. Leaning against a post, standing away from the crowd, with her back to a wall, she felt safe. Even at this distance away from the podium that she would be able to hear him, she watched the audience's reaction as he walked up and stood at the podium.

Standing there, he was a powerful sight. Impressive. Royal-looking even. Aye, this man was definately a leader. See, but she knew all these things before today. She knew it the first time she saw him at the Red Dragon Inn. Amazing what someone can read either within another's eyes, or their aura.

Listening, she would nod and even smile at some of the points he made. Something the evil-doers don't realize is what history has proven...Good ALWAYS overcomes evil...always. A fact Wolvie was well aware of...and a fact that scared the sh*t out of certain "villians" about Rhydin.

As he finished his speech, and looked out over the crowd....she didn't know if he saw her way back there, but she applauded and said aloud but in her usual calm tone...."Bravo, Wolvie...Well Done." Emerald hues watched him as he left the podium and supporters all gathered around him to congratulate him on a speech well done.

Flipping her hood up, she made her way back to her horse, pulling on her gloves, she glanced back over her shoulder and smiled. Well...not all males in Rhydin were "dead" or "evil" or "married" or "taken" or "effeminate." ***
