The would be Governor that wasn't had chuckled, having heard finally the results of the election. The results of which were glaringly predictable even with the intense campaigning done by all candidates in the final weeks of the election.
Paper folded in hand, he went out to meet with the media to give his final speech in regards to the 2007 Rhydin Governor Political Campaign.
"Good evening everyone. I wish to start by saying there will be no questions taken this evening, and I only desire to finish off my campaign on a positive note. So, once finished, I won't be answering you.
That said, I wish to offer a heartfelt congratulations to the winner of this election, Miss Kitty Helston, who started on my team and branched off onto her own campaign, performing admirably enough to garner enough votes from those she knows to defeat all runners in this election."
"It is my hope that she remains true to her promises, and does indeed work for a safer, better Rhydin we all can love living in. And should she need any advice, assistance, or anything at all, she should feel secure in coming to me, as I will be more than willing to do what I can for the Elected Representitive of our fine Country and City."
"I Congratulate the Imp, Miss Helston, and Miss Ilyona Albaelia for waging respectable campaigns, as for Imp, a rather interesting and amusing campaign. I would congratulate Talomar for his contribution, however I can't bring myself to do for my own reasons. I will thank him for his participation, though, and will watch his career with some interest."
"In closing, I thank everyone involved with this election, from the people at the voting booth to the advertisers who took part, and to those of you who voted the candidate you wanted. I look forward to the coming year to see if the choice you made was the right one, but I have confidence in the new Governor."

Shaking his head and setting the glass on the desk, he places his hands behind his head, smirking in amusement.
"Heh, first step is for them to know you exist. I think I have that well covered. Governor, Phfft. There's better things out there than that. Now that the people have noticed, let's see what I can make be the next big thing."
With that, he laughed softly to himself as he looked out into the night.
