(The spot opens with a white, unadorned room, a single large screen mounted on the back wall. A plain, folding metal chair sat in the center of the shot. He walked in from stage left, glancing at the silent images playing upon the screen. News reports, staged or otherwise, flashed there. He turned to face the camera, a smile curling his face.)

"My my. Barely a week since the announcement, and already there's such a flurry."

(Moving smoothly, he took a seat, slicking down a wrinkle or two in the silk pants and straightening the vest. A bright 'Vote Blue' button rested there.)

"Now. I suppose I should address an issue or two. For the record, as you can plainly see for yourselves, the color in question is blue. Not purple."

(A transcript of Ravenlock's speeches scrolled slowly on the screen.)

"Also, for the record, serving the people is what I do. I've no doubt a great many of you fine citizens are wondering just what someone like myself intends for the office of Governor. My answer is simple. To serve the people.

Those of you who've known me personally will attest. I do not lie, nor prevaricate. I wish only what?s best for this fine city. I'm no great hero, nor leader of the people. But what I am, is a fine example of someone approachable. My intent lies in taking this position, in order to free great heroes from the burden of government."

(Images of Matt Simon, Kathryn Batten, and Rekah Silverblades pass across the screen in slow motion.)

"Of these other candidates, there's no question. People of great actions, one and all. Mr. Simon himself leads one of the vanguards of our safety, patrolling the spaceways in the skies above. Ms. Batten is a fine community leader, a splendid contributor of wisdom and common sense. And Mrs. Silverblades ....well, she's just cute as a button, isn't she?

I don't at all seek to lord power over these, or anyone. My task would be simply to act as the voice of the people. Freeing others to do what they're all best suited to do. Protect. Guide. Nurture."

(The images fade, replaced by a simple circle of deep cobalt, the words 'Vote Blue' emblazoned in white.)

"In closing, I ask all of you to contemplate. Think of the greater good, and vote for me as your next Governor of Rhy'Din. Thank you."

(Rising from the chair, he bowed deeply, then turned and walked off-screen. The 'Vote Blue' image drifted off of the wall screen and centered, the background fading to a soft white. Spot ends.)

"And then there were two."

(The spot opens with a voice-over, black background fading to white, the Kirn seated in the folding chair.)

"People of Rhy'Din, you've spoken. And so, I hang up my governmental spurs, as it were. Rekah, Matt ....my best wishes to you both. Good day."

(The spot closes, fading to black.)
