On the morning of Friday the 31st, fliers went up announcing the candidacy of one Pharlen von Tombs for the Governor of Rhydin. That evening, the consequences of that announcement were felt throughout the city.
It was first seen in the ancient Red Dragon Inn. An invasion, not of fanatics, nor destruction. Bears. Small grey and white plush panda bears, stuffed with cotton, grass and seeds, entirely biodegradable. Three different slogans mark their bellies. Dozens of them populated the Inn's bar and chairs. Next, they infiltrated the Teas and Tomes, and from there the invasion spread throughout the city, free bears sitting silently in every book store and coffee shop, park bench and on the edge of the Fountain.
Not dangerous. Not animated or magical. Just pandas. Pandas for Panda.
