Appearing at a scheduled press conference beneath the clock tower in the market square, a smiling and healthy Fionna stepped up to the podium to speak. ~~

Good afternoon. Earlier today, Gubernatorial candidate Matthew Simon extended his well wishes to myself, local businessman Edward Batton and several others who were injured during coordinated assassination attempts in the Red Dragon Inn two nights ago. Threats and acts of violence of the sort that have taken place have only one goal in mind: to control or eliminate opposition. Such actions are intolerable in a free society. I want to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Simon for his strong statement of support in opposing these acts of violence and intimidation and for his call for the criminals behind the attacks to stop.

As citizens of Rhy"Din, you have both the opportunity and the responsibility to control your own destinies by voting, not with a gun or blade, but with the pen and the ballot. Transcripts (here) of the recent gubernatorial debate have been made available courtesy of the Alberion Institute of Sociology, and are freely accessible through public information kiosks, the Rhy"Din Public Library, the Rhy"Din Welcome Center and at many local universities. Those of you here today may obtain a copy from one of the aides in the teal shirts posted throughout the marketplace.

I encourage you to examine the responses and rebuttals of each of the candidates closely and compare our stances on the issues. Then make your voice heard at the poll by voting for the candidate you believe will best represent your interests and those of our community. Together, we can raise a common voice to the person or persons behind this attack and others like it. Together, we can say, "We decide our future."
