Reporters began arriving for a scheduled for the latest press conference and their focus tonight is on Governor Candidate G'nort Dragoon-Talanador, who was ready to answer a little Q&A from members of Rhydins press corps.

Shortly after the scheduled start time, G'nort arrived at the podium dressed in his usual "Meet the Press" outfit, which is to say a dark suit and tie. As always, he wanted to appear professional.

"Good evening. I'll make this brief before I begin taking a few questions, so please hold those until I'm finished."

"I will not be answering any questions about my opponents personal attacks against me. Let me assure you that I am not gay, and if I were, my lovely wife, Kaja, would be the most distressed about that issue. Also, judging by everything he has said in his recent 'No Holds-Barred Platform Speech' he has harmed himself far better than I could ever dream to. If a man who refers to women as 'broads,' his opponents as a derogatory homosexual term, and voters as gullible for believing what I say is what people want as Governor, well then I will have serious concerns for the future."

"Now, all that being said, I now open the floor to questions. Even if I know your name, please say it again and the paper you're reporting for." he said, looking around and pointing to a young woman with shining red hair. "Cherrie."

"Good evening, Mr. Talanador. Cherrie Bomb from the Paragon Press. You say you're not going to respond to questions about what your opponent said in his platform speech, but several things do have relevancy. Before we get to that, Count Longden did say several strongly derogatory words about you. How do you feel about what he said and what do you think about him?"

"Well, Miss Bomb, I did say I won't answer things like that, but if it's relevant to the race, then I will, of course, respond. Very well. As to what he said, all I can respond with is that perhaps in the future, my opponent will be wiser and not imbibe large amounts of alcohol before holding a platform speech, or at the very least have someone competant write his speeches for him so that he can keep it as inoffensive as possible. I can't imagine how many women and homosexual he may have turned towards my camp."

"As to how I feel about him personally' Well, I haven't met the man in person, and I can only go by what I've read, heard and seen him say. I think he's an all right guy if he doesn't let his emotions get the better of him. Next?" he said pointing to another individual.

"Rex Manning, Duels R Us Illustrated. We noticed that one of your devoted campaigners, Kitty Helston, has jumped ship, quit, and announced her candidacy for this title. What did you do to cause her to leave, and is she available, like, can I get her number?"

"Ahh my dear Rex Manning, that weave you have is looking good. Shouldn't you be covering duels or did they demote you to covering politics" First, no you can not have her number, she's much better than you deserve." G'nort chuckled teasingly. "As to what caused Miss Helston to leave, well, I haven't had the opportunity yet to discuss her reasons for leaving. I would have hoped to try and get her back, but we all must follow our own paths. Hers is leading to a candidacy and I wish her well. I actually support her and if you don't vote for me, I'd hope you vote for her. She's a fine woman."

"Serena Wattson, the Rhydin Star. Mr. Talanador, does this mean that rumors of you and her having a romantic relationship are false" How do you answer accusations that you were cheating on your wife with her?"

"Miss Wattson, I had thought you above listening to rumors. This one, in fact, is a completely new one I had not heard. There has not been nor will there be any romantic interest between Miss Helston and myself. No, when I came to the Inn, she seemed interested in helping me out. I was eager to have help so she was perfect for the job. That's all our relationship was, completely professional."

And the accusations that she was the mastermind behind your campaign" Was there romantic tensions there that caused her to leave?"

"Honestly, where do you guys come up with this stuff" No, there was no romantic interest whatsoever. As to her being the Mastermind, yes, she had several great ideas. But I have to say that my campaign did not rest squarely on her shoulders. There's more than one person in my camp coming up with plans. She also didn't -have- to introduce me to people, I come to the Inn to meet people at all times, not just for campaigning. Yes?" he responded, pointing to the next man.

"Tommy Cavellini, News Tonight. What about what your opponent said regarding to tenure here, and that you're only just now coming to the Inn because of attempting to gather votes?"

"Well Tommy, my opponent seems to know less about me than he thinks. After all, the Arena is in the Basement of the Inn. And as I've been dueling since Gork was in second grade, or, for a more concrete amount of time, going onto eleven years now, it's obvious I've been here for quite some time. It's not my fault my opponent never bothered to see what the Duels were before now. In fact, without any help he wouldn't be able to name ten Overlords, even with three of them being rather visible in the Inn right now. The fact is, there's more to Rhydin than Just the Red Dragon Inn. There's more places to meet people than in there. My opponent just doesn't take the time to know this, and only attacks me for not being a drunkard. Instead he used other choice words."

That closing line got a quite a few chuckles from the audience before G'nort pointed to his next questioner, dark man, robed and shrouded and not much visible about him who just exuded an aura that made him instantly unlikeable.

"Veld Re Muir, Blackgate Inquisitor. Mister Talanador. Your opponent mentions removing the Current Overlord, Johnathan Ecorian Havoick, from title. As a Renegade Baron, you have the ability to do just that. Have you not the decency to attempt to do so?"

"If it isn't my good friend Re Muir." G'nort said distastefully, having never liked this reporter. His answers would be to immediately cut to the chase and answer anything this man could throw at him before he had a chance to ask it. "Yes, the only way to remove an Overlord from Title is to challenge him. No, my opponent does not appear to know that or he'd attempt dueling in order to gain rank and assist in removing him. No, I have no intention of challenging for the Title of Overlord for reasons that are well known. I have never wanted the title and foresee no future time where I will desire that title. Is Cory the perfect Overlord, no. But who is a perfect person' Has he acted poorly. Yes, from time to time he said things he shouldn't have. Who hasn't' And anyone who says they haven't is a liar. Also, because of the Recent Warlord Tourney, the only person allowed to challenge right now is the winner of that Tourney, Spike u'Shel. And she has a good shot. I wish them both the best of luck. Next."

Ona Monapea, The Sporty News. Sir, you are recently verbally attacked the integrity of a rival newspaper here in Rhydin, the Oracle. Does this mean that you have a strong dislike of all newspapers, or just that one in general?"

G'nort couldn't help but chuckle at that question. "I have to admit there are some that I can't trust to print the truth exactly as it happens, Miss Monapea." he replied, giving a pointed look to both Miss Wattson and Mr. Re Muir. "The fact is, and is commonly accepted especially by those in the Inn, that what you read in the Oracle must be taken with a few grains of salt."

"At no point did I imply that the workers of the Oracle are anything but hard working. I simply questioned the integrity of the accuracy of their articles when a majority of their writers are vocal, visible supporters of my opponent. Does this mean they don't work hard" No, it means they work harder for someone other than me. Not to mention the comics just don't make much sense. Some of their articles are fine, and I especially enjoy the sports section. Now, as we seem do be doing nothing but covering what my opponent has slandered me for, can we please go onto more meaningful questions?"

"Wade Afinogenov, Rhy'Din Press. How do you intend to help the Inn and Arena to co-exist peacefully?"

"Excellent question, Mr. Afinogenov! As you know, a peaceful co-existance is something I've been striving for for quite a while. I've supported the cross promotions of the Duels into the Inn and have argued against those against it. Advertising is a key, but doing so properly is not as easy as it sounds. As Governor, my presence encouraging more people to fight in the Rings of the grand Arena would assist somewhat, I believe."

And all this talk of you playing catch-up to your opponent?" shot Mr. Re Muir.

With a audible sigh. "I do not copy or play catch up to my opponent. Nor do I steal ideas, thoughts, lines, phrases or even gestures from anyone. I work on my own qualifications and have suitable credentials to pretty much do everything alone. However as a wise man, I know better than to do everything alone. And now, because of too many questions that are not of reasonable discussion in line of political positions and ways to help the community, I declare this session of Meet the Press at an end. Feel free to come to the next one in a week or so and I'll answer more of your questions! Hopefully more questions about real issues."

"Thank you and good night!"

He then turned and started away from the podium, cries of "Mister Talanador, Baron, G'nort, G!" echoing about him as he exited.
