The day before the primary election began, the local media organizations were once again called up for a campaign speech, this time from Admiral Wolvinator. The address was one of of formality and respect. Years of experience had let up to this speech. Win or lose, it was important that this be said.

"My fellow citizens, first I want to thank you for your time today, as I know many of you have busy schedules and important matters to attend to. I greatly appreciate that all of you are taking a few moments out of your day to listen to what I have to say.

"The primary elections are upon us, and the importance of each and every vote cannot be discounted. Every person's vote is an important part of this process. The role of Governor is one that exists solely by the grace of, for the service of, and for the protection of the people themselves. I hope that each and every member of our city is aware of the full importance of having their voice heard.

"There are many candidates that are running in this primary election, and at times it can be difficult to discern which candidate is more qualified, more heartfelt, or more authoritative than the others. However difficult it may be, however, I implore all of you to vote for who you believe would enact the changes you desire. Vote for the candidate you feel is going to be capable of keeping the promises they've made. The right to vote is a sacred trust, and I hope with all of my heart that each individual out there recognizes and understands the power that they hold, and the responsibility that goes along with that power. Regardless of who you do vote for, whether it's myself or another candidate, I have an optimistic hope that each vote will be cast for the candidate that each voter truly believes will be the most successful in the position of Governor.

"Listen to the campaign promises. Read the transcripts of the various debates. Understand what it is that the Candidates stand for. Evaluate each one of us candidates with your most scrutinizing gaze. It's up to you to determine how trustworthy a promise truly is. It's up to you to read between the lines. The true strengths and weaknesses of each candidate are out there for everyone to see, you need only search for them. I will not try to give you my own opinions, good or ill, of any of my fellow candidates. I will instead suggest that you take the time to truly form an opinion about each one of them. Before you vote, take the time to investigate the pros and cons of each one of us.

"For myself, I am a man, a person, and a citizen of the people. I've worked for the people, and with the people for a very long time. And in doing so I have learned that the concept of "the people" is as broad and unique as anything the universe has to offer. That uniqueness is what defines our city. That diversity of beings is what makes it so beautiful, and I feel that it's important that every candidate understands that they will need flexibility and empathy in order to interact with and respect the many varied citizens of Rhy"Din.

"In my duties as a city guard and member of the Watch, I have maintained a rapport with people - with beings - of all sorts. I've learned how to empathize with other cultures, and I've learned how to respect ways that are not necessarily my own. I know that living in this city has helped me to grow as an individual, and that very growth is what I hope to share with you all.

"Becoming your next Governor will not hinder me from continuing to be a person of action. I do not seek a lovely desk to hide behind while there are men and women out there fighting for your freedoms. Freedom isn't free, but you don't have to pay that balance alone. None of us do. Regardless of who wins this election, let's all of us work together to maintain our freedoms and the freedoms of others. I know that win or lose, that's what I'll be doing. And I hope that whether I am Governor or not, you will all join me in that endeavor.

"It's up to all of us to make Rhy"Din a better place. We can make it happen. Thank you.?

The Admiral raised his hand to wave to those that were in attendance, with a pleasant smile on his face, before stepping down from the podium. As he made his way into the crowd of people he began shaking the hands of the those that were in the crowd, personally thanking them for turning out for the speech. The address would find its way to the television stations, data streams, and radio. Transcripts would also be printed in the evening, and morning editions of multiple periodicals.
