There was no pomp or occasion. No fanfare. The flyers simply went out, the press conference was announced;

The female Viking has seen and/or heard the announcements made by the various candidates running for Governor this year. Shy has several questions for each of them. However, when all is said and done there is only one thing that truly matters to her.

The response to this particular inquiry will be the ultimate reason for whom she casts her vote.

"Mister Chazore, Arthour, hvorfor ....why ....do you want to be Governor?"

"Well Shy. What I really, truly want is for there to be stability in the city. G's campaign would tell you that the only people running for Governor want to benefit themselves. That the Governor is somehow going to Rule over everyone. That isn't true.

I don't remember Fio 'ruling' over anyone. I remember a person trying very hard and doing an exceptional job at bringing people together in our community. That's what I hope to do.

The Governor might not have any real power to decide if something gets done or not, they might not be able to order the masses into action behind their ideas and ideals. They might 'just' be a figure head that people gather around to look for direction when the marketplace gets blown up again, but...Well, that it, right there. People do go to the Governor when they look for help, or even just someone to help them organize something for the rest of the city. The Governor is a potentially powerful, influential person that can sway the massive through appearance and opinion. I'd like to try and use that to better the city, even if it's only to organize a few street parties.

I want to be Governor so I can at least try to make a difference. That might not mean a lot when it fails, but when it does work? Well, we'll see what happens. I hope that answered your question, Shy and I thank you for it. If you have any more, please ask them"

Forgettable face, worryingly accurate short-hand, and a digital recording device ....the press had wandered by.

"I was wondering, Candidate Chazore ....you advocate stability, yet Rhy'Din is notoriously unstable. In the event of a hypothetical disaster, such as the emergence of a violent faction intent upon the destruction of society as a whole, how would you respond, should you be in office?"

"In my opinion, Rhy'din's stability is it's instability, if that makes any sense. The Nexus makes in inherently impossible to keep anything resembling 'stability' in place, or what might be recognized as stability in another city, on another planet. Instead, what we have here is a carefully choreographed chaos in this city, where one faction rises to put down another.

There are plenty of people who would, with my help as Governor or not, put their own lives at risk, and have done so many times in the past, to protect this city to every individual, and if a faction as you just described did attempt such an action' They would face the contempt of people like Brian Ravenlock, Isuelt of the Scathacian Order and many, many others. The city will maintain it's unique form of stability all on it's own. But that usually results in half of it being torn down every other week, which is something I hope to avoid. A better equipped and trained Watch and Emergency Rescue services would be a good start. All I can say now is that I will put forethought into it with the hope of having a plan that can be easily adapted to face whatever crisis faces us on any given day."
