Robert Kidd

Robert swaggered into the polling office and asked politely for a ballot. The security members watched him carefully as he took his ballot behind the curtains. A few minutes later Robert came back out, and handed his ballot to a polling official, scrawled boldly across the ballot slip was...No Confidence...Robert Kidd. As Robert moved to exit the building one of the security members stopped him. "Not going to let it go easy are you?"

Robert shook his head. "Nope I dun know 'ow tae be easy."

Despite everything going on lately, including her husband still being behind bars, Jewell strode into the election site confidentally with a smile on her face. She practically snatched the ballot out of the lady's hand, that smile still in place. "Thank you," her tone was all mocking condescension.

She took her ballot and disappeared. It only took a moment and she was back out from behind the curtain again. Jewell Ravenlock Kidd did not need to deliberate about who she was voting for.

She handed the ballot back to the woman, nodding to her, "It's okay. You can read it even though you're not supposed to." That grey eye gaze was just daring the woman, who was becoming increasingly nervous, to.

"Uh.." she lifted the paper up, eyeing the blue ink decorating it in Jewell's fancy script.

"Read it." The Empress commanded in a tone of voice few could refuse.

"What?" She asked her nervously, swallowing and looking around. A few guards started to move their way.

"I said...read it."

"Uh...o..okay. It says...Jewell Ravenlock Kidd."

"And..."

"Votes for No Confidence."

"Louder," she instructed as the lady had read it in a whisper. She gave Jewell a look like, 'Do I have to"' "Just do it!" She practically shouted at the lady. Then she gave the guards nearing her a withering gaze. "And back the hell off, I know my rights gentlemen."

"Jewell Ravenlock Kidd Votes for No Condience!" The lady read it much louder this time, turning the heads of the other voters.

"Thank you!" She replied sweetly to the woman, who was sweating by this point. Then she turned to the rest of those staring at her, "That's right folks! It may not be on the ballot but I, for one, know my rights as a Citizen of RhyDin and one of those rights is to refuse to be governed by the stupid and the inept. Vote for No Confidence!"

She gave another guard a look that stopped him in his place as he reached to restrain her and then waltzed right out.

Alysia Skye

Date: 2008-02-08 16:15 EST
While someone was probably trying to make a statement by leaving a mangled body outside a polling place on election day, Alysia was completely uninterested in the death of some unknown and nameless person. Violence was nothing new or unusual in Rhydin, and the impact it might have had was lessened by both killer and victim's anonymity. She looked impassively at the nervous officials tending the corpse and wrinkled her nose in disgust at the smell.

Nearby, she could hear the sound of one of the candidates vociferously claiming that a vote of no confidence was a "tactic" designed to encourage anarchy and crime by lying, dishonorable criminals. Disagreeing, Alysia shook her head and stepped inside. She identified herself, obtained a ballot and examined it.

"Hm. G"nort....Matthew Simon....Karen Wilder....Wolvinator." She mused. One I've met " once. One I've never seen. One I have seen, but she's a little too religious to make me comfortable. And the sheep in Wolv's clothing. "Politics," Alysia muttered in contempt.

"It is the greatest art of the devil to convince the world that he does not exist!" came the passionate words from outside.

The devil is it, now? Alysia smirked. Anyone who believes that devils do not exist deserves their fate.

Silky white-gold hair was swept behind pointed ears as she lowered her head to hide the smirk. She printed NO CONFIDENCE across the ballot and scrawled her name across it. The ink smoldered and smoked for a moment before cooling.

Somewhere where the polls were set up, a little blonde elf was squeezing her way behind some curtains, a ballot in hand. Glancing it over, she wrinkled her brows and turned the slip over. It had to be a misprint, right' Where was the choice of no confidence"!

With a roll of bright blues, she cursed and murmured a bit in elvish as she started to ponder. There was G. The Goat Man. Who threatened The Stitch's business. Hmph! Sure, Erin was voting for him, or said she was, and was campaigning for him....but Erin could also be sleeping with him according to the rumors, so she wasn't about to listen to Erin!

Lydia seemed to advocate Matt, but she had never met Matt before....and his speeches were too long winded. She just didn't have the attention span for them. Plus the idea of old people in office just didn't appeal.

Karen" Religion' Ugh. It didn't really appeal to her, given her atheistic beliefs.

Wolvinator. He gave even more speeches than Matt! And they were longer and...really, there was only one choice the little blonde could make.

With her pencil she x'd out G, Matt, Karen, and Wolvinator's names, then wrote above them all: NO CONFIDENCE - Carlisle Qui'Ama

Saw the dead body, and the town watch and the protesters demanding No confidence, he heard the politician's speech, didn't know em, didn't care for any of them, just windbags with lies, just like home. Seeing as there was no "No Confidence vote on the ballot" so much for the voice of the people he thought, he scrawled across the ballot he received

No Confidence vote as casted of free choice by Erik Steele

in the black marker pen and walked out, being a big believer in the rights of people he screamed with a fist raised

"I say No Confidence!" and walked away

He quietly slipped into the polling place, grabbed up a ballot and stepped into a booth. On the ballot in big red letters he wrote NO CONFIDENCE over the names on the ballot. Stepping out of the booth he deposited his ballot into the box and walked out of the polling center.

The Jester entered the election building with a shoulder through the door. He approached the woman distributing ballots, and when she looked him over she just held up a hand. "Let me guess. You're going to take this ballot from me, go behind the curtain, and write 'no confidence' all across it?"

The Jester blinked, one golden-red eye considering her words before he snickered and shook his head. "No. You sound ridiculous. That's a ridiculous idea. Now will you give me my piece of paper and get out of my business, Botherface?"

She was looking at him with a slightly disbelieving set of eyes before she slowly passed over the ballot. The clawed black hand snatched it up more quickly than she could respond. By the time she'd flinched from his sudden move, he was already on his way behind a curtain.

He spent quite a bit of time in his booth, and when he emerged the woman signaled a couple of guards, who moved to check the booth's interior. The Jester handed his ballot over to her, where in neat little jagged letters across the thing it read 'No Confidence.' With a snicker, he explained to the flat look most heavily ground into the woman's face.

"You thought I was going to write all over it. I just wrote it once. Details, Botherface, details." It was then that the guards started moving towards him with severely annoyed looks decorating their faces. The scribblings across the mountains of tiny papers littering the floor and tacked to the inside walls of the booth read 'No Confidence, now and forever!' In as many languages as he could have looked it up in.

As they approached, he snickered and shrugged. "I thought they were nice, at least. Oh well." With that, he darted into the thickest line he could. Despite his obviously outstanding appearance, the Jester seemed to have disappeared altogether. The guards searched for about ten minutes before realizing the obvious, and took to cleaning up the harmless mess of papers.

Mercy Sangre

Swaggering into the polling place and patiently waiting in the line of one that she currently made. A ballot in hand she did swagger to the polling both and in the secrecy of the booth, Mercy did scrawl.....

"Lad!" she called out from within the booth to the guard beside , "How do ye spell confidence" Be it ConfiDANCE or ConfiDINCE" Be it with an "A" or an "I?""

The guard shifted uncomfortably, "er...i can't read or write"

"Can ye not ask another?"

"Um....no?' he was a bit unsure and then more authoritatively, "It's against the rules! Just Vote and be done with it!"

"Pish! Rules! Bah!"

But vote she did and with both spellings just to be sure.

A tip of her hat at the ballot box lady after stuffing the box with her mark.

A casual swagger away without a care in the world.

Bob appeared in the Booth and quickly wrote down on the ballot the words, over all the names of the people running.

No Confidence.

He then cast his vote, and vanished with out a trace. once again.

Theron

Theron walked up to the booth and slipped inside. This was something important, he knew it.

Quick and to the point things had to be done so he wrote No Confidence under the names of the people running.

Sure he lost the primaries, but he could let it go with no hard feelings. It was just that he did not believe in anybody else that could do what needed to be done with out massive amounts of bloodshed and oppression, or boring measures that would change nothing in the end.

Theron then walked out of the booth and signaled that he too had voted for what he signed his name for then just vanished into the crowd with ease and waited for the result to come.

::Cadence wasn't too far behind Theron, though she didn't recognize him until he was on his way out. She waved to him, though her look was peculiar because it seemed to her he looked like the cat who swollowed a canary. Maybe it was just her imagination. STill, she managed a thumbs up as he disappeared into the crowd::

::now it was her turn and she moved in to the booth with card in her hand. Wolvinator" No way. Stuck up couldn't see past his girlfriend/wife's chest. G'Nort' Eh....something seemed less then wise about that one. Maybe when he was older and wiser he'd make a good one to have. She just really didn't like his take on slavery. Matt' Perhaps, but she really knew nothing about him, plus if it was true he was gone a lot, then that wouldn't do any good for the people of RhyDin. They deserved someone who was there and willing to be there, who knew the low down about the town and brave enough to be bold with new ideas to change it. The old ones just weren't working any more. And the last one" This woman was already involved with her own army, for lack of a better word. Wasn't that enough' Again, RhyDin needed someone with new ideas....::

::The ballot was quickly marked with her decision before she could change her mind. NO CONFIDENCE was written in bold lettering across it all. She walked out of the booth, handing it face up to the lady taking in the votes.::

Um....yous don't want to mix this up with them others. It's one of those No Cofidence votes. Sorry....just hows I feel about it.

::Cadence told her. Then left the card with her, moving into the crowd as her form simply went invisible.

It didn't matter what she did to try and fix the squeak—one wheel upon her flower cart always groaned a bit as she drug the jury-rigged wicker construction behind her. The building she arrived at held it's very own official sort of atmosphere, with official little people scurrying about attempting to keep everyone to their lines. The woman wandered about in her own little world, what disturbances flapped about the votes and polls themselves weren't really noted.

Inside, a mish-mash of modern and ancient melded together to assist the needs of the many denizens of Rhy'Din. Ran, slightly day-dreamy and apparently more interested in admiring a man with fur exactly like a tiger's did not even notice when she'd been shuffled into line. It was with a bit of startled blinking at the woman who took her by a shoulder and bundled her off, flower cart and all to a booth.

The flower woman, while many claimed to be 'not all there,' tended to have a firm grip on some things. One freckled hand found and grasped a ballot, then pen. Carefully, in smooth, loopy-strokes accented with dreaming whorls as well as curls, Ran wrote neatly beneath the names of each nominee: No Confidence.

Taking a moment to trace the letter C before the flower woman dallied out of the booth and meandered to where her ballot should be turned in.

It was rare anymore when he bothered with the City or its business, but having been a fair participant in the last election, Harry had to at least be a good citizen and vote in this one.

So, he did.

He crossed out the names on the ballot and wrote under that:

NO CONFIDENCE

And then he walked right back out.

Ballot was accepted and purused. Outside the polling place the continued demogoguing made it hard to even hear ones own thoughts.

His decision was written, clearly across the ballot obscuring the candidates' names. And beneath it, his own name was signed.

NO CONFIDENCE Lucien Viktor Mallorek

The ballot was turned in and the Barrister walked away from the incessant rantings.

In between finding poultices for the ill man who was ensconced in her home and taking care of purchases for her mate, she found the time to stop and vote. Having accepted the ballot, she shook her head as she peered at it. "No. There should be no Governor. That is how it has been, that is how it should remain. A brief excursion for the term of Kitty, then a return to RhyDin's reality." With a firm hand, she marked out all the names with a bold X, and scribbled across the top of the ballot. NO CONFIDENCE

Ryo Tosaga

Politics, bleh. No fun at all. Ryo skimmed over the ballot, finding little interest in the piece of paper. He didn't want to vote for one candidate; he disagreed with Rhy'Din having any sort of government at all. He did feel that he was betraying Wolv a bit, but he didn't really care about that. Wolv'll get over it in time. It's not like his reputation could get any worse at this point anyway.

Ryo snatched a pen and scribbled "No Confidence" on his ballot in tiny lettering near the top, with the rest of the page left blank. The ballot was turned in, and the demon returned to the day's events.
