The following transcript of Governor Simon's speech was released moments after its conclusion and made available via the media and public services such as the Rhydin Public Library. The speech itself was broadcast over several VidNet & AudNet channels.

In the last two days, two of the original six candidates for Governor have removed themselves from contention. Specifically in regards to Brian Ravenlock, I have heard his speech and respect his decision. He's acted, as I always do, in what he feels is best for Rhydin and I commend him for doing so. Those folks that Brian described as "in the trenches" are the citizens that make up the majority of this city; the ones filled with the tenacity, perseverance and passion that I spoke of in my initial campaign speech. Brian has made his decision to close his campaign and serve the city in a capacity other than Governor. I respect that choice and wish him nothing but success.

As far as Jesse...let me be very clear on this. Her choice to withdraw was her own. I most certainly did not promise her ten-percent ownership of the Outback nor anything else. I was in no way involved in her withdrawal and while I appreciate what now seems to be her support, I in no way expect any votes given to her to be shifted over to me.

To the remaining candidates, I wish them well in the remaining day or so of the primary election.

To the citizens of Rhydin, I once again ask for your votes. Join with me in building our future! We need a Governor who will step in and lead with experience and confidence from their first minute in office. We need a Governor who will craft the framework of our future with diligence and care. I am that candidate! I hope you will allow me the opportunity to work both with you and for you in the coming year.

Thank you " and please make sure to vote in the primaries!
