The Headmaster of the Ravensheart School for the Gifted has been to many, if not all of the political gatherings he has been aware of. He keeps quiet and seems to generally just absorbing the information. After the recent round of speeches, he makes it a point to send a letter to both candidates.

Your Honor,

My name is Briarius Ravensheart, Headmaster of the Ravensheart School for the Gifted. It is with great curiosity that I have attended all of your political functions, but am still not satisfied. Although a small institution in RhyDin, mine is the only school in RhyDin that I am aware of. I am quite perplexed by the lack of formal education within RhyDin. What is your stance on the issue of formal education' How do you feel about education in general" How would my institution be affected from your being elected"

I look forward to your answers.

She received the letter from a courier and read it. She took pen to paper and wrote a reply.

"Dear Sir Briarius,

The subject of the lack of education in Rhydin has come up with me before. Being a mother of two children, it is a concern. I have frequently recommended your very school to many parents of talented children. My own niece shall be attending your school in the coming weeks. However, this city is sadly missing any school for those children who have not shown any talent, such as my own.

I have discussed the possibility of starting a small school with Jewell, since she has to home school her children. If given the opportunity, I shall find funds to build and run a public school for all the town's children to attend.

The children of this town are my first and foremost concern. Whatever it takes to give them a better life is what I want to be done.

Sincerely, Kitty Helston"

As mentioned by Brarius at the Inn, a courier did indeed come to the Castle of Count Longden. He read the message and immediately picked up a quill to answer it while the courier rested with some food and drink offered.

My Lord Briarius,

You bring up a excellent point; and in fact, it is the first intelligent question I've had asked of me since throwing my hat into the gubernatorial race.

One has only to sit in the Red Dragon Inn for a few minutes to see how much this city needs to educate its citizens. The lack of intellectual pursuits amongst our population is appalling.

You may not realize this but the success of my company, S.E.C.T.O.R., is dependent upon keeping at the leading edge of technology. Because of this, we channel nearly 30% of our profits back into the funding of scientific research.

On some planets, S.E.C.T.O.R. completely subsidizes the education up to college level, and then provides full scholarships to those who show exceptional scholastic aptitude.

Whether or not I'm elected Governor of Rhy'Din, I would like to begin to promote such programs here in our city, and then expand it to the surrounding areas. I want to see every child in our city get a proper education with lunches provided, and I'm willing to begin channeling funds into the educational system to accomplish this. These funds would include some full scholarships; and I would welcome recommendations from you, Headmaster Ravensheart, of those you feel are worthy of a scholarship either because of financial need or exceptional scholastic ability.

Furthermore, I've noticed that there is no Rhy'din Dept. of Education. This is inexcusable. One of the first things I will do as Governor is to establish a Department of Education to oversee the educational needs of our city.

My door is always open to hearing suggestions, and I would love to come visit your school in the near future.

With Best Regards and a Desire for a Better Rhy'Din,

Count Talomar Longden

Having received a copy of the letter, he takes the time to thoughtfully pen a response, making copies ready for public viewing readily available. —————————————-

My dear concerned citizen,

Education is indeed a paramount concern, as is the future of all children. A childs education, of course, must start at home, so parents must be considered responsible for the initial teachings of young minds. When the children reach a schooling age, they should have available to them necessary facilities to mold their minds and help create great contributors to society.

To start, Rhydin city only has one Library available. There should be more for these children to have access to as much material as possible. Reading is fundamental and should be encouraged.

Schooling, I have seen there are scholls available for specific types of individuals, such as wizarding schools, healing schools, you, yourself, list as your title as the Headmaster for a School of the Gifted. We need more schools available to teach basic skills such as mathematics, language skills, writing and science. The children cannot be forgotten. As they age and learn more, there should be more subjects available to them such as history, home economics, finances and philosophy.

Upon reaching adulthood, there should be academies made readily available to them to pursue careers or to simply prepare them for life after school. We cannot expect to let children just fill any position available. They should be able to choose their own career path, and as Governor, I would like to start the wheels turning in making sure that these public institutions are available.

And of course, we must be sure that highly qualified individuals are available to educate our lands children and make them be the best they can be.

Touching on your second question, you can see that I feel strongly about education and its importance in our society.

Onto your third question, Your institution would not, in any way, be affected negatively by my election. It could benefit either financially, or with the establishment of other basic institutions, a possible influx of students into yours. Which better way to find out how Gifted a student is than by previous educators commendations?

I hope my answers are satisfactory and that you seriously consider voting for me. If you feel you do not wish to vote for me, then consider voting for Miss Helston.

Thank you and good evening! Baron G'nort Dragoon-Talanador.
